Watching the Ravens continue to lose really puts a dark cloud over my Sundays and the blue in Blue Monday. Losing enthusiasm rapidly.
Feel the same way except not losing my enthusiasm
I have to agree with the overall vibe here. Joe was a one hit wonder and got paid and IMO is stealing money from Steve. I've defended Joe around the water cooler for years , but now I can't any longer. Sorry Joe nice guy, but an average QB at best. Enjoy your cash while the Ravens and its fans suffer for another few years.
He is now 27-26 since Super Bowl

Going to win just enough to not have a good draft pick this year.
We have some tough teams ahead and at this rate I would say top 10

I have been wondering that for years too!

Even with all the alleged "Fire Power"

We don't know how to do those well
That would go back to poor draft picks which comes back to bite you. We build from the draft so if we screw up which we have plenty this is when it shows up. It is just so disappointing to watch Joe play the last few years. I keep hoping for the best and just haven't seen it. Every year I think this will be the year Joe breaks out. Nine years later I am still waiting.
Makes complete sense!
It's not like Flacco has broken dozens of records, led this team to a SB, won a SB MVP, garnered a reputation as THE qb you don't want to see facing your team when it matters, put together the single greatest postseason run of all time, along with Ryan is the reason why rookie QBs are expected to make an immediate impact now and won more games than all but a handful of QBs to ever play the game in his short time here.
I think you should keep waiting til this overpaid scrub actually achieves something.
No it wasn't the single greatest postseason run he tied Montana. He didn't break the record he tied it. That was 4 years ago. Let's look at the record since then. My opinion he hasn't played to what we are paying him. Rookies QB's are playing well Wentz, Prescott. Joe is 27-25 since the Super Bowl. He hasn't even passed over 4,000 yards in a season. He threw 46 times Sunday and didn't even have 300 yards. We are ranked 32nd in league on 3rd down conversions. That means 31 other quarterbacks were more successful than Joe on 3rd down. I think we lead the league in 3 and outs? Not so great QB's do win the Super Bowl (Trent Dilfer) and then there are other great quarterbacks they have never won Dan Marino, Jim Kelley, Fran Tarkington. Honest to God I want to see him do great but it has to get better than what it's been

The worst thing is Harb's is always saying we have to work to get better. So full of it. It's amazing how New England can win with a 2nd, 3rd string quarterback, no gronk, no big name receivers. But they can win. How can Harb's explain being OUT COACHED for 4 weeks in a row... Oh Yea gotta work on it.
Yep. He's always incredibly vague in his speech. But I think a lot has to do with the fact that Harbs is not the Xs and Os guy. I think the entire organization needs to look at itself in the mirror. Another losing season in unacceptable. This is THE Baltimore freaking Ravens. They set a standard of excellence, and the team name alone garners respect from the NFL world. But that is slowly fading. They better get back to Ravens football soon.
Buddy where have you been? Ravens have lost plenty. There is no damn standard here except Defense. Offense has always sucked. Look at Trent Dilfer. We were the first team to cut a Super Bowl winning QB the next year. Why? He sucked but was a game manager and got the job done. Can we forget the Kyle Boller days? Hello? We haven't had guy who could get job done since Bert Jones. I really want to say Unitas but that is too far back.
I just hope it is as easy as firing Trestman. Joe apparently got his wish... hope he takes advantage of the new situation he finds himself in.
Remains to be seen? Not sure about Joe? Too inaccurate and the back foot lobs kill me. I watch Rookies play better than Joe. Hasn't played up to his contract since signing it. A lot a money to pay 1 guy to Not perform.
Every since that Superbowl run the Ravens convinced themselves that the offense can run through Joe. In the Ravens championship/playoff run there was always been a power FB like Leach, Gash, O Neal and big physical o-linemen. like Birk, McKinney, KO, Mulitalo. I know its a passing league but even Brady, Big Ben, Manning have somewhat of a run game to set things up. When they don't, they lose games.
How many times do you see Brady, Big Ben, or Manning miss the throws that Joe makes? Or back foot lobs? The next to go should be Flacco if no improvement.
If anyone thinks that this is the only thing wrong with this inept offense, then they are delusional. We have an offensive line that can't pass block. We have receivers who drop passes every game. We have a quarterback who short arms passes into the ground, throws over people's heads, and doesn't hit the receiver in stride. Even though Trestman's scheme sucked, it was not the only problem. The players need to prove they can do their jobs as well.
Agree
Just fired Trestman. Moral of the story don't lose to the Redskins. Same thing happened to Cam when we lost to Redskins.
Just sad. That is all.

What the excuse for past years when he did have a line? Like last year before the injury?
1 minute ago, I AM LEGEND said:If I didn't know football and this game was the first one I sat and watched....I would ask if Flacco was a rookie..
Rookies have out played Flacco all year are you Kidding me? Flacco is a 9 year vet but who knows? Only question is how long are we going to suffer with him? Has the weapons still same back foot lobs and over/under throws.
1 minute ago, kennethyamini1989 said:just for the record, Flacco is being out performed by Kirk Cousins....and before folks say something, the Ravens D is better than the Redskins which Flacco should pick apart. All good though...oh and just an FYI Carson Wentz 23-30, 226 YDS, 2 TD
Carson Wentz is a better quarterback than Joe. Joe is who he was compared to in the draft but he is better than Joe. Or should say will be better. It really won't take much to surpass.
2 minutes ago, cobrajet said:We have more no gain plays than any team I have ever seen.
That's because Joe Flacco is our Elite Quarterback
Dont even say Hurst....its Lewis at LT..and Uerschel at G.. unless your trying to kill Joe.
And why why why.. Judon inactive???? They better sack Cousins 2-3x today. If they dont get and sacks today and Judon sitting 2 straight weeks..shameful on Harbaugh and Ravens organization.
Old man Dum, and Sizzle need help..they arent 25 anymoreAgree, maybe the coaches should be inactive if they can't get players to perform the way JH wants them to perform. Or maybe the team is
trying to set a record. sign Judon to three more contracts and never
make him active.
I believe Dean Pees knows who should be active. At least that is what he said at press conference? We don't see how guys are practicing was the point.
What I missed most was seeing the game.
Washington and Cleveland were shown where I live.
I live in Florida and listen to Sirius radio with my iPad following the boards and waiting for highlights.
All through Training Camp they said it wouldn't matter and they would have plenty of time to gel. Now we are heading in to week 5 and Now it is problem? Really? Joe can't even hit wide open players on short plays. Over throw and Under throws with back foot lobs.
Offense has been pathetic all year even with Stanley and Lewis. Still starting slow and too many penalties. Enough blame to go around for everyone. It is just plain hard to watch but it has been going on for years now and no matter what kind of weapons Joe has it is still the same result.
"7) More Deep Passes, Please"
Aha. Go ahead any try more deep passes with the kind of "O-line" Flacco had as a "protection"...
I dare you.Well if he is always going to need a clean pocket to throw the ball correctly it is not going to happen. Joe needs to be better than what we are paying him to do. Rookies are out playing Joe. Tired of the ineptitude of the Offense whether it is Joe, the O-line, Receivers or the Coordinator. It is embarrassing for a 9 Veteran QB to play the way Joe does.
Its not embarrassing, when you have 2 second string players playing on the left side this is what you get. Actually all of Joe's stats were better than Carr's. Also, the special teams played lousy and gave them bad field position the whole game, but I don't see that on you're complaint list.
Except Carr threw 4 touchdown passes which Joe has yet to do this year. Glad to see Joe stats beat Carr but not where it really counted the final score.
The games change from week to week. Big Ben looked like Kyle Boller last week in Philly. Last night it was Alex Smith's turn to look awful. Could Joe have played better yesterday? He'd be the first to tell you he could have. The Raider fans leaving the stadium yesterday were acting like getting to 3-1 was like winning the Super Bowl. We are 3-1 and our season is over according to the comments I see this morning.
Joe pretty much always looks like crap. At least the last 4 games and last year before he was hurt looked like crap. Joe is the common denominator. Holds the ball too long, no pocket awareness, back foot lobs continue to kill us. He is a 9 year veteran and rookies are playing better than Joe at this point. Not to mention (2) Fumbles in last 2 games along with his interceptions. Not worth the money we are paying him. Not elite by any means.

Maybe we need to try a Quarterback change? Obviously Joe is not getting it done with the overthrow/under throws. He is now 27-26 since the Super Bowl. He is over paid for what he has produced.
