  1. Bottom line.... Joe has a lot of work to do

    1. I agree that the OL is a factor but he had decent protection and elite QBs still find ways to move the team and manage the pocket. I was super impressed with Phillip Rivers this year... behind one of the worst OLs in the NFL... he gave them chances to win... and while his numbers clearly dipped as a result of poor OL play... nobody watching him play blamed that teams woes on Rivers... It was obvious who was at fault.

    2. While I also agree that the knee may have been a factor... elite QBs seem to find ways to get it done minus some mobility issues. Look what Brady did his 1st year back from the same knee injury. Look what Peyton did after his neck surgery... (and while his #s also dipped he won a super bowl). Aaron Rogers, etc... the list goes on. Joe has never managed a pocket well and this year was worse bc of his lack of mobility... but that is as much of not understanding how to manage the pocket as it is... anything else.

    3. Having weapons around him. Again. Look at Brady - who has no true # 1 WR and even when Gronk went down.... he just moves the team. Everyone said when Martavius Bryant went down and without Ladarius Green that Big Jen would have trouble moving that sqeeler offense... that just was not the case. I can keep going... but my point is that elite QBs make players around them better. It has always been said that Joe doesn't have weapons and it makes me think that he hasn't made them look dangerous yet.

    4. Joe missed camp and timing was off with some WR.... I have to agree here... Joe and his WRs need to spend more time preparing / not just Joe and Pitta. Perriman needed to be force fed a little more.... Chris Moore also needed to be thrust into more game situations... We will need another WR in 2017 but who ever it is... they need to develop a rapport with our QB quickly. That takes work.

    5. Finally .... with all that said... I do not think that Joe is elite.... but I think that we can win a super bowl or two with Joe. We already won one.... I would be greatly disappointed if he did not pick up at least one more... but he is not the type of QB who can miss training camp and the first four games and still be on top of a short list for offensive MVP. Joe can take us to the promised land and win that big one for us (he has proven that) but he has to out work everyone else. No shame in that .... most QBs are not good enough to ever lead their team to a title much less multiple titles... but 1. Joe cannot do it on his own. and 2. Joe needs to win through preparation and perspiration rather then pocket presence and proficiency.

PUT THE WORK IN JOE AND BE THAT LEADER THAT YOU ARE PAID TO BE!

We are paying him to be that guy now. If he isn't that guy and can't do it and needs all this help then he needs to take a pay cut. We are being ripped off as fans.

Joe gotta go! Can't blame Ozzie and Co. and Harbs for this season Joe did not play up to what was expected of him because he had the pieces on Offense period point blank! QB #1 pick and do the regular draft process! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING! SMH

Whatever you're smoking you need to blow it out 'cus it's destroying your judgement. Flacco needs to go? Who are you going to put at QB? Tell me, who? We live in a world where Kirk Cousins is a keeper!

We need to fire our entire defense except for maybe for 6-8 players. THAT would be a start.

I honestly want you to tell me who you would pick up to be QB if you got rid of Flacco. I can't wait to hear this answer...

Here's my 2cents- Flacco was rated 25th in league before the game- probably drops to 27th after and there are only 32 teams. Almost anyone would be better than Flacco at this point. Don't get me wrong I like Joe, he's a nice guy ect but he has Sucked since signing the contract. Has forgotten basic mechanics and can't read defenses. We can't unload yet but as soon as we can we should.

Cam Newton is 5 spots lower than Flacco. Using your logic, Cam is one of the worst QBs ever and the Panthers should dump him immediately....smh. According to ESPN (Idk where you get your rankings), Flacco is 18th in QBR - ahead of Newton, Wentz, Dalton, Manning, etc.

You say get rid of Flacco but you offer no REAL solution. If finding an above average QB was easy, the Browns, Jets, Rams, Eagles, Texans, Bills would have had one by now. All of these teams have drafted at least 1 or 2 QBs in the 1st Round and still haven't found one.

Joe is not above average QB. The last few seasons he has been subpar. He is not worth the price we are paying him. We are paying him as if he is top 10 Elite QB which he is not. We can't get rid of him anyway right now. Rams and Eagles have drafted their QB's. Rams chose to sit Goff most of year. Wentz however played well for a rookie. Cowboys, Broncos and Seahawks seemed to get their QB's in the 3rd round of draft. Flacco has played terrible this year for a 9 year veteran. How would you explain his regression on basic mechanics?

Its amazing every single drive you hear the broadcast crew talk about how flacco has no time and even when he does no ones open anyway but yet people continue to bash him. I guess he has to run routes catch the ball and also block for his self to. People have no football intelligence what so ever. What's hilarious to me is flacco will be here for years to come and you unintelligent flacco haters have to deal with it or go bandwagon another team lol get over it

We only have to put up with him 2 more years at most. Then we can cut him.

I question Joe Flacco because the Ravens are not in the playoffs because of a 4 game loosing streak to teams we should have beaten! They were all winnable except for the skins they beat us! You need a run game no doubt but teams are winning in the air Slinging that Rock but everyone wants to slow the game down and run on 1st and 2nd pass on 3rd and punt keeping the game tight instead of opening it up! Get over the squeelers game they just finally won PERIOD!
PS Do the Ravens need to put squeelers helmets on every team they play it seems to be the only time Joe gets motivated? ! I can't believe we're not in the playoffs I keep pinching myself! SMDH

You are barking up the wrong tree. Stop blaming Flacco for everything that goes wrong. There are other players on this team. There were several games where one thing or another caused the loss. Get over it and move on.

For what we pay Joe Flacco he deserves the lion's share of blame. I mean Really he is a 9 year veteran and why are we talking basic mechanics? Back foot lobs, poor clock management, over throws/under throwing receivers? Come on man!

Flacco has been mediocre and bad all season minus a game or two. I dont care that the defense blew this lead, the offense has been horrible all year.

Yes, we were SO much better with Kyle Boller, Elvis Grbac, Stoney Case, Scott Mitchell, Troy Smith, Anthony Wright, Jeff Blake, Chris Redman, etc.

Joe played a good game today. You want he should go out and catch the ball after he passes it?

Well we were not paying them 22 million a year either. Joe sucks for the money we are paying. Hasn't evolved. We keep changing OC but Joe is common denominator.

Well said. I actually make a policy of not reading "Byrne Identity" for that reason. To expect an expose' of The Ravens organization from none other than "baltimoreravens.com" is naive. Secondly you cannot expect a coach to be open about what happens in the locker room or with the front office.
There's a lot if issues with this team especially on the offense. We will all find out if any changes occur in the offseason.

There are always problems with the Offense and has since the beginning. We just can't seem to get it right? We have won 2 Super Bowls with mediocre Offense though. Not sure about Flacco's play any more?

just heard during the open part of practice, Flacco continued to miss Smith on passes with his inaccuracy and it got so bad that Smith threw his helmet across the field, kicked the ball and went and sat out the rest of the practice open to the media. Clearly, Flacco's inaccuracy and lack of fire is starting to deteriorate the locker room. You couldnt miss on TV when Flacco was missing passes, being inaccurate, not showing any urgency, Suggs was over making faces, cussing, obviously irritated with the lack of performance and desire from Flacco.

It may be at the point now that Flaccos urgency and fire is noticed by his teammates and they are not happy with their 120 million dollar QB acting like a diva, not caring about his teammates by not showing that winning games is a little more important to him, and I am sure there are dollar questions based on production. Hey, if we talk about it here, players aren't dumb, they see it too. If Flacco was my QB and he played the way he has the last couple losses with his lack of motivation, I would definitely have a face to face and it could get nasty. I'm sure there are players who feel the same way.

Some say Smith is just throwing a fit, but he is down to his last three games, he has got to win, and he wants more from his QB, the same as we do.

And I'm sure Joe wants more from his receivers, also.

Its a two way street, not a one way street.

Sorry it's more on Joe than the Receivers. I don't know what you have been looking at? Definitely all Joe. Personally I am sick of Joe Flacco's back foot lobs and piss poor throwing. I would rather start over with a rookie quarterback than stick with Joe and the amount we are paying him. Sorry he is a 9 year Vet and he has sucked since the Super Bowl. Still can't read Defenses and audible or throw a screen pass.

  9. The Ravens made me truly proud of them yesterday in the game against the Cowboys, they played awfully well, excepts a few plays in the secondary, seeing that they had to play the Cowboys and the refs!!! The Cowboys were holding the Ravens in the inzone and outside of the inzone on the playing field, and the refs refused to make calls against the Cowboys that should have been made!!! One thing I know for sure, if the Cowboys had lost that game, the Romo thing would have came back to the front of all the news networks, and the bringing back Romo chant would have surfaced once again and that would have opened up a can of worms for the Cowboys front office!!! Seeing that the owner of the Cowboys is a top dog among the owners of the nfl they refused to let that happen and so the refs robbed the Ravens of winning this game!!! For every time we made a play to moved forward, the refs called a penalty against the Ravens to push us back, seems like this is the nature of the nfl today, for they choose who they want to be Superbowl champs and go about trying to make that happen, just like when the lights went out in the super dome for 45 minutes in the Superbowl when the Ravens beat the 49ners!!!

What were you watching? Really? Flacco and his back foot lobs at least 3 of them? How about the offense disappearing? Just like in the Super Bowl which we almost lost because of it. I am not proud of Flacco frankly I am embarrassed this year.

  10. Good morning. Needless to say, very disappointed. It was a winnable game like all the previous ones. Our offense didn't sustain their drives due to various reasons. It's simple: we're one of the best mediocre teams in the NFL right now. Are the Ravens elite and put fear into the enemy? No. Is Flacco elite? We know the answer to that question too, but 2/3rds of the league would like to have him. We're 5-5 and tied for 1st place in our division and control our destiny. Can we do the job and win 4 of 6 of the remaining game to have a shot at the division? 5 of 6 would certainly win our division. Our current history says, we're likely to finish 8-8. We may not like it, but this beats being out the playoff hunt at this stage of the season!

If 2/3 of league would want Flacco I say Trade him now. He sucks and let's move on form his bovine skat contract.

  11. “They scored every time they got the ball,” Flacco said. “When it’s that kind of game, we have to do the same thing.”

On Sunday, the offense just wasn’t sharp enough, and didn’t make any plays of 30 yards or more.

I knew that once that Cowboys offense got rolling that the Ravens offense wouldn't be able to match them score for score.  They haven't been that type of offense all season.

They haven't been that kind of offense since that Minnesota game that was so crazy in the snow. Otherwise they are incapable in The Joe Flacco era of doing it. The difference being Joe is the worst QB in the NFL right now and other years just mediocre but not so embarrassing.
