  1. 2 QB - Flacco, Schaub 3 RB - Forsette, Taliaferro, Allen 1 FB - Juszcyck 7 WR - Smith, Perriman, Aiken, Brown, Campanaro, Waller, Butler 3 TE - Gillmore, Williams, Boyle 8 OL - Monroe, Osemele, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner, Urschel, Hurst, Myers 8 DL - Williams, Jernigan, Canty, Davis, Lewis-Moore, Urban, Tyson, Means 4 OLB - Suggs, Dumerville, Upshaw, Smith 4 ILB - Smith, Mosely, McClellan, Orr 6 CB - Smith, Webb, Arington, Jackson, Walker, Vaughn 2 SS - Hill, Elam 2 FS - Lewis, Levine 3 ST - Tucker, Koch, Cox PUP - Pitta, Brooks PS - Jacobs, Toussaint, Traywick, Jenson, Carter, Melvin, Supernaw, TBD I have 3 battles. The first is for the 8th and final DL spot, between Guy and Means. I have Means right now because he's cheaper and he's looked impressive. The second battle is for the 6th and final CB spot, between Melvin and Vaughn. I have Vaughn because he has experience and his stats aren't bad, Melvin had one good game. The final battle is for the last spot on the roster, between Carter, Butler and Melvin. I don't think we take a CB because Levine and Elam could play if needed. Carter has return skills but Butler is the better WR. There could be one more between Orr and Brown for the final ILB spot, but I have Orr making it.

  3. Some of the worst players are guys that didn't play. To make it legit, let's say in order to qualify for the Worst Ravens Team, you had to play in at least 8 games (half a season). On a side note, Boller. Yes he didn't live up to expectations, but he's hardly the worst. We went to the playoffs with him (2003 and in 2004 we finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker). There are others who were worse, Case, Blake, Harbaugh.
  4. It's hard to compare offensive and defensive players. Perriman will get the most opportunities, followed by Williams. Davis and Smith should get their chance to put up some numbers too. I have high hopes for Allen. However Taliaferros transformation this off-season should make it a battle for playing time. You could make a case for a lot of these rookies, but in the end it's going to come down to opportunity. That means Perriman or Williams.
  5. Is this a joke? Hill graded out as a top 10 safety (I think he was 8), and Elam graded out as the worst. There's no competition there, there's no battle. Now Lewis graded out as one of the worst Safeties last year, close to Elam. There would be a better competition between this two. But I agree, the Ravens are hoping Lewis seizes the job. A lot of players improve their game when they join the Ravens. But Hill is our best DB after J. Smith, there's no way he doesn't start.
  6. I think Arrington will be better for us. He's a great slot CB and that's what we need. Lewis is OK. If you look at his numbers last year, he was awful. PFF had him graded lower then Stewart. Almost as low as Elam. Yes, he could have just had a bad year. But with Hill back there, I think we'll be OK. Personally, I'd rather see Elam beat out Lewis, but I definitely hope Lewis has a great year. A lot of players improve their game when they come to the Ravens.
  7. Mason or Ismail? Is that a joke? Mason is the best Receiver in Ravens history. I've made my case for him several times on here for him to go into the Ring Of Honor. In 6 seasons with the Ravens he had 4 1,000 yard years, and the other 2 were 802 and 750. His performance in the playoffs with the separated shoulder was gritty and inspiring. Not to mention he helped Flacco develop during his early years. Ismail only played 3 years here. Yes two of those years were good, 1999 and 2001, but not even close to Mason. Best Ravens WR: Derrick Mason Anquan Boldin Torry Smith Quadry Ismail
  8. Smith, Webb, and Arrington are your three starters, they are right about that. Walker will make the team as a draft pick, right too. I think Jackson will get one more year to see what he can do. But the 6th spot will go to Vaughn over Melvin. The Ravens will try and stay Melvin on the Practice Squad. Unless there is an injury. I think Jacobs will make the Practice Squad too.
  9. I think most people everywhere know Flacco is a top 10 QB overall. Fantasy rankings are skewed so you take them with a grain of salt. Like other people said, running QBs are going to get ranked higher because that's more points they can get, and our offense is balanced so Joe isn't going to throw for 5,000 yards. But as an overall ranking, Joe's top ten, no doubt. I have him at 8.
  10. You have to get Yanda done, Tucker too. As far as Osemele goes, I say let him walk. Yes he is a great guard, but the amount of money he would cost could be better spent elsewhere. Especially when his replacement, John Urschel, already proved he can handle the role. Would you rather have K.O at guard for 30-35 million, or Urschel at guard and use that money to re-sign Tucker and get other pieces. It would be great to have both guards, but financially it makes sense to let K.O walk, just like we did with Grubbs.
  11. Darius Allen sounds like a monster. Check his stats, 34 sacks in 43 games. Yes, he's a small school guy, but if he can gives us half of that he has a chance to make the team. Perry has a chance too, with our Safety situation and Brooks on the PUP to start the season. With our draft class and most of our role players returning, there might not be any spots available. But you never know.
  12. My 53 man roster as of the draft. 2 - QB - Flacco, Schaub 1 - FB - Juszczyk 3 - RB - Forsett, Taliaferro, Allen 6 - WR - Smith, Perriman, Aiken, Brown, Campanaro, Waller 3 - TE - Williams, Gilmore, Boyle 8 - OL - Monroe, Yanda, Zuttah, KO, Wagner, Urschel, Hurst, Myers 8 - DL - Williams, Jernigan, Canty, Davis, Urban, Lewis-Moore, Tyson, Guy 4 - OLB - Suggs, Dumervil, Upshaw, Smith 4 - ILB - Smith, Mosley, McClellan, Orr 6 - CB - Smith, Webb, Jackson, Walker, Melvin, Levine 2 - FS - Hill, Brooks 2 - SS - Lewis, Elam 3 - ST - Koch, Tucker, Cox 1 - X - Brown, Jacobs, Traywick, or Bilukidi Prac Squad - Wenning, Toussaint, Jacobs, Traywick, Jenson, Butler, Supernaw The 1 extra spot could go to anyone of those guys. We could carry 9 OL, Jenson or Reid would be added. Guy and Bilukidi will battle for the last DL spot. The last CB spot could go to either Levine or Jacobs. Of course, injuries will change everything. What do you think?
  13. What, just as good as Pryor and Dix? Get the heck out of here. They were the 2 best Safeties in the draft, along with Ward. Besides them, how many other Safeties went ahead of him? I guess all the other clubs don't know what their doing, that's why he fell to the late 3rd round. Is that what your saying?
  14. What the heck?! We pass on Moses and Amaro. Moses a T who was ranked 35th overall, and who could have started right away. And Amaro, a pass catching TE. Instead we draft a guy at a position we have guys at. I understand, Ngatas contract situation next year. But we drafted Williams last year. That's 2 picks in a row that we passed on immediate starters for guys we won't need for 2 years. And both guys we drafted are injury prone. The Jets picked right after us both times and got Pryor to play FS in round 1, and Amaro to play TE in the 2nd. Unbelievable!
  15. I also feel a little better about Moseley after a good night's sleep. I still would have rather of had Pryor or Ward. Moseley could be great. But I want to win now, this year. I think we're good at ILB this year. We needed a FS or RT. Now because all the FS, that could come in and start, are gone, Stewart will be our starting FS this year. I'm not to excited about that. We could still get a starting RT in the 2nd round, but in my opinion there's only 2 possible starters left, Bitonio and Moses. If we don't get 1 of them, then Wagner will be our starting RT. You could have found a good ILB in the later rounds, or even in next year's draft, or the year after. D. Smith is a baller you just signed for 3 years, and A. Brown was a 2nd round pick. What's Brown just pushed back to ST now? I don't like relegating last years 2nd round pick to a backup position. It seems like a waste. We'll see.
  16. In the 2nd round. There's 2 RT that could come in and start for us, Bitonio and Moses. The TE Amaro would be a solid pick. If Hyde falls to us, that would be great. A big, bruising RB is what we need. We could use a CB, and there's a couple guys that would be good like Joyner. I think we have to take one of those 2 RT if they are there. However, if Hyde falls to us (he probably won't) I don't see how you could pass on him.
  17. 2-3 years from now? Then why not draft a ILB next year or the year after and take the Safety you need right now, right now. I want to win this year not in 3 years. Also, you can get a decent ILB in the later rounds more then you can get a decent Safety.
  18. Why are people acting like the Front Office knows everything and never makes mistakes. Remember Mark Clayton and Kyle Boller. I'm not saying Mosely is a bust. But don't act like Ozzie and Co. Know it all and never mess up. I think Ozzie is Alabama happy, and he loves LBs. A. Brown, I hope you like ST.
  19. That was an awful team. Ogden was an obvious, unbelievable talent that you couldn't pass on. Also, it was one time. Name me another time we drafted a guy when we were set at that position and had glaring needs at others. Especially lately. Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Flacco. All need picks.
  20. I am disappointed in this pick. You had both of the top Safetys on the board, and you go ILB. 1st, we didn't need an ILB. We just signed D. Smith to a Multi-year deal, and we just drafted A. Brown last year with a 2nd round pick. I guess Brown's not starting, right? We have 3 years to find an ILB, we didn't need one in the 1st round now. 2nd, best player available, no. Even if he was, Dix and Pryor were right behind him. Either one of them would have definitely been a starter. You have to find a common ground between need and best player available. 3rd, this pretty much sets our team. Now Wagner is our starting RT, and Stewart is our starting FS. I don't think a 2nd or 3rd round guy will start over them. The only guy that could save this pick is Jimmy Ward. If we can get Ward in the 2nd round, he could come in and start at FS. But he's an early 2nd guy and probably won't be there, and I don't see us trading up. The last 3-4 drafts have been busts overall. We use to draft Pro Bowl guys every year. What happened Ozzie? Time will tell, but right now I'm upset and mad.
  21. This was to see where he was at. The fact that he came back at all shows some promise. The season is along way off. The Ravens have nothing to lose in this situation. Sign him to his minimum contract, let him train at the facilities, and see how he comes along in camp. Worst case scenario, you cut him. Best case scenario, he turns out to be the player everyone expected.
  22. Compete with Gino for the starting job? Their kidding right. With a 4.5 mill cap hit, he better be starting. Ginos not even a back up. As it stands now we have 3 Tackles (Monroe, Wagner, Reid), 2 Guards (Yanda, Osemele), and 4 Centers (Gradkowski, Jenson, Shipley, Zuttah). The Ravens usually Carrie 9 Offensive Linemen. That's 1 to many Centers in my opinion. With AQ and Jenson able to play guard, Gino would be the odd man out if we draft a RT. Reid also could be replaced considering is off field exploits.
  23. We could sign Mack. But if we did, we would probably be done in FA. And everyone knows Ozzie gets the most out of his money. No harm in making an affordable offer, but the Browns will probably match it. I'd rather sign De Puente. He's a solid stop-gap guy. I have a bad feeling that their gonna give Gino another chance, with AQ and Jenson pushing him in camp. Please, someone tell me it's all in my head.
  24. I hope we get Dix, if he's there. However, if Ebron falls to us, I think you have to take him. He's a beast. I'd be happy with Evans, Ebron, Pryor, or Dix.
  25. Great signing! Now let's get a Center. All the good FS are gone so we might have to address that position in the draft.
