  1. What the heck?! You get rid of guy with talent and potential in Brown, and re-sign a guy who's had multiple years to show that he's an awful CB and prone to mistakes and turnovers. This doesn't make sense to me. I don't mind signing Jackson to the PS, but not at Brown's expense. They should have cut someone else. Bad move!
  2. You have to root for the Pats because the Division is the 1st goal. I hate the Patriots more, but in this particular game we need them to beat Pittsburgh.
  3. I also thought Magee, Pointer, and Carter would make the PS. We're they claimed?
  4. I would not use the IRD on Urban. Just put him on IR. It sucks that he has to miss another year, but you might need that IRD during the season. If they do decide to use it, I think the one day cut will be Butler (I have us carrying 7 WR with Perriman down, with him as the 7th). I think A. Brown makes the roster. I also think Asa Jackson makes the roster. I hate Jackson as a CB, he's awful, but as a returner he's shown flashes and right now we don't have anyone better. As for the D-Line I have us taking 7. Williams, Jernigan, Canty, Davis, Guy, Tyson, and Lewis-Moore. I think Bilikudi gets beat out of that last spot. It's cheaper to take Lewis-Moore and he's improved all through camp.
  5. I think the injury to Means guarantees hell make the team. Like the article said, the last spot is between him and Bilikudi. I think they will give it to Lewis-Moore for 2 reasons. First, he's looked decent enough after coming back from all those injuries, that he Ravens want a chance to see his full potential. Second, he's a little cheaper than Bilikudi. I think overall he's got the edge.
  6. Originally I had Brown not making the team. Orr and McClellan are better on ST, and while McClellan has struggled at ILB, Orr has looked great. However, The Injury to Means opens up a roster spot. Now you might think DL to replace him because that's his position, but Brown has looked a lot better this off-season. So I'd give that spot to him. Even though that means carrying only 7 DL. The other option is to carry a 9th OL, and keep Jenson.
  7. I hate that we don't have a returner. Asa Jackson is horrible as a CB, just awful. So if he's gonna take up a roster spot just as a return man, he better be great. The problem is, he's not. He's too eager to make a play. You have to be patient and use your head. Know when to run, and when to fair catch. I was hoping Campanaro would take the job, but he's too injury prone. That, and the fact that the other WR's haven't stepped up, makes me think we should have kept Jacoby Jones. But hindsight is 20/20.
  8. Wallers chances of making the team keep going up? What? Waller was going to make the team the second they drafted him. Every Ravens draft pick has made the team in their first year, even if it's just a couple games, they usually always give them a chance. The Ravens hate to give up on draft picks so early. The only draft pick I can remember (recently) that didn't make the team his first year was 2013 7th round pick Marc Anthony, CB.
  9. Renner will definitely be on the Practice Squad. He earned that spot before the first pre season game. The Ravens always carry a QB on the PS. Renner's performance in the first two games just guaranteed it will be him
  10. this headline is a bit misleading. Most of the injuries are minor and won't affect week 1 availability. Other guys were held out as a precautionary measure.
  11. I take nothing from this game. Teams have gone undefeated in pre season play and then started the regular season 1-5, and teams have started 5-0 after going winless in the pre season. The pre season is for judging individual performances, but not for the starters, for your backups. Who will make the team, and determining the depth chart. Your starters know how to play, and when the season starts they will be ready.
  12. Predicting the roster. Counting the bubble players, you have like 61 people. So your saying some will make it and some won't. That's not really predicting the 53 man roster, is it? Anyone can predict the top 61. Those last cuts are the hardest ones to make. On a side note, Melvin. Why are people high on him? Because he had a good practice. He played in 2 games last year. In one, he looked ok. Not great, but ok. In the second game he got destroyed. Brady lit him up like a Christmas tree. If I had to assign blame for that loss, he'd receive the biggest player share. I hope I'm wrong and he's vastly improved.
  13. Hell be around, If we lock him up. He's a Free Agent the year after next. That's a big reason I think we can't sign Yanda and Osemele. There's also Tucker and Upshaw. But by letting Osemele walk and moving Urschel into the LG position, you free up money for the following year to sign Williams, as well as Wagner, and Juszczyk. Williams is harder to replace then Osemele is. I know, I know, it's not for two years, but that's how it works. This year effects next year, and so on.
  14. Maybe, but not this year. In all likelihood the Ravens will carry 8 OL this year. Monroe, Yanda, Zuttah, Osemele, Wagner, Urschel, Hurst, and Myers. Myers is a draft pick so he's in. Urschel and Hurst are proven backups and capable starters. And by some miracle they do carry 9 OL, Reid will probably get that spot. The question is, is Jensen eligible for the Practice Squad. He was inactive for his Rookie season. The 2 extra spots on the Practice Squad, they implemented last year are allowed to have 3 seasons and still be eligible. We'll have to wait and see, but he won't make the 53, there's just no room.
  15. Davis will get plenty of snaps this year. I think we carry 8 DL. Williams, Jernigan, and Cantu will be your starters. Davis, Tyson, and Guy should be your backups. With Lewis-Moore and Means rounding out the group. The only guy left is Bilikudi and I don't think he makes the team. You'd have to get rid of Tyson or Lewis-Moore to free up a space, and both of those guys are better. Tyson has looked very good in spots, and holds his own. The team wants KLM so they can see what he can do, he's looked great in camp, last year and this year. With Urban out, I think Means gets his spot. Means is a DE, Bilikudi is a middle man, that's why he'd have to beat out one of the DTs. Not to mention cutting Bilikudi will save you around 1 million in Cap Space.
  16. I posted this earlier, but ROH talk brings it back up. Another former Raven WR has numbers like that. Not as much as SSS or Brown, but close. The best WR in Ravens history, Derrick Mason. Career: 943 Rec., 12,061 Yrds., 66 TD, 5,086 Ret. Yrds. I think he is HOF material, but he is definitely Ring Of Honor material, and the fact that he hasn't been inducted yet is ridiculous and embarrassing. Ravens Numbers: 471 Rec., 5,777 Yrds., 29 TD. He played 6 years for us, had 4 1,000 yard years (the other 2 were 802 and 750). Not to mention he helped Flacco develop in his early years. Catching TDs in the playoffs with a separated shoulder, the Master of the comeback route, Derricks Mason.

  18. Our 8 DL will be: Williams, Jernigan, Canty, Davis, Guy, Lewis-Moore, Tyson, and Means. I don't have Bilikudi making the team, and I had Means as the first Defensive guy to miss the cut. But with Urban out, I think Means gets his spot. He's an DE that can rush the passer, Bilikudi is more of a run stopper.
  19. Who's Not Hot. Asa Jackson and Arthur Brown, that's not surprising. Personally, I don't have either of them making this year's team. I have Orr as our 4th ILB, and Vaughn as our 6th CB.
  20. An unofficial depth chart put together by the teams Public Relations Staff. Yeah, Ill take this with a grain of salt.
  21. Brown as trade bait actually makes sense to me. I don't have him making the team this year and we could get something for him. We all know Smith and Mosley are our starters. But the reason McClellan and Orr will beat out Brown for the backup roles are simple, Special Teams. McClellan is a leader on ST, and Orr was awesome on ST last year. Not to mention, while Mosley was sitting out cause of his wrist injury, Orr was running with the starters during 7 on 7 drills and playing great. He was all over the place. If we can get something for Brown, do it. Because I don't think he'll make it in the end, and something is better than nothing.
  22. Will Hill was going to start anyway. But, Elam made an awesome effort to get better this year and his depth will be missed. Lewis and Hill are your starters, with Levine and Traywick as backups. Perry will make the Practice Squad. However, when Brooks comes off the PUP list, someone has to go. I think it will be Traywick because Levine can also play Cornerback. But it's speculation, until they play we won't know who has the advantage.
  23. I love K.O. I love Yanda more. I don't think we can keep both. Could we, yes. But in would hurt us in the long run. It's gonna cost some money to resign Yanda, best OL in the league. And Tucker, best Kicker in the league. But don't forget, the following year you have Wagner, a top RT, Williams, a top DL, and Juszczyk all becoming FA. We need money for them too. I think if Urschel can step up and play guard, as he did last year, we can let K.O walk. Especially if it lets us keep Wagner and Williams. Well see what happens. We can't sign everybody. Remember, we let Grubbs walk and drafted K.O.
  24. I keep seeing that there's gonna be a battle for the SS position. Here and in the Sun paper, on 105.7, etc. Where do these people live, in a bubble? Do they not watch the Ravens. Will Hill is our starting SS. He was a beast last year. He got better as the year went on and at the end PFF had him graded as a top 10 Safety. Meanwhile Elam was horrible again and graded out as one of the worst Safeties in the game. In what world is that a battle? In what universe is that even a close competition? As far as FS goes, Lewis is more of a playmaker then Stewart, but he graded out near he bottom last year (not far from Elam). However, I think he will play better for us, a lot of FA do. Besides, there really wasn't a better option. But Hill will be our starting SS baring injury. Even then, he might be better then Elam. These Sports Writers are beyond ignorant for not knowing their own team.
