  1. Throw it away? It wouldn't have mattered. What's 3 yards to Tucker. Joe dove towards the middle to line up the FG
  2. Play calling is so vanilla
  3. I wanna run the ball this year, but our Oline looks awful

  5. Cmon Trest, get some balls and put in the dagger.
  6. O-line and Trest man. With our receivers and TEs, we should be better than this. O-line has to give Joe time.

  8. It's been some awful play calling by Trestman. All game he's been scared, his two best plays, To Perriman and Wallace, were successful, but after that he reverted to Cam Cameron. Play it safe and let's see what happens. bovine skat! Defense has looked good so far, except McClellan not wrapping up and J. Smith getting beat short. We can't play scared.

  10. I agree on Onsauwor, he could be a good find. Wish Ochi would have stayed.
  11. I had Butler making the team, but it's not the end of the world. During the regular season, your top 4 WRs play. If your a 6th or 7th WR, you aren't playing on offense, just ST. So it's no big loss. He signed with Tampa over us because he has a better chance of playing. I had 2 problems with the cuts, first is Ochi. He looked good, especially coming from a small school. Imagine if he had more time to develop. I don't know why they kept Carter over him. Carter had his moments, but Ochi has more upside. Second is Brooks. Why would you keep Lewis over Brooks? Lewis is old, grades out as one of the worst Safeties, can't play ST, and would save you money if you cut him. Brooks is better, and he's younger, with an extra year of control. I don't mind losing Forsette, cause Dixion and West looked so good, but with Dixion hurt we are thin at RB. Bring back Ochi and Brooks and get rid of Lewis and Carter.
  12. I agree, even though the money is misleading, it's not the issue. Hester is old and coming off toe surgery. I would have been happy with Moore returning kicks and Dixon as well when he's healthy. Use that roster spot elsewhere. I don't hate the signing, but I wouldn't have done it.
  13. This is the exact same roster I predicted, except one switch. You have us carrying Lewis as our backup Safety. Lewis is old, consistently grades out as one of the worst Safeties in the league, can't play ST, and would save you around a million dollars in cap space. So, I do not have Lewis making the team. With Levine being able to play Safety, and CB, I'm carrying him as our fourth Safety. So that opens one roster spot and I think it's for a 6th CB. Either Canady or Price. I have Price making the team, because he's a big CB who can play man, but it's close. I wouldn't be surprised if Canady was the 6th CB. The other battles: Butler over Matthews, again it's close, but Butler did more, he was more consistent. Pierce over Lewis-Moore, Pierce is bigger and faster and has more upside, he's under control, Lewis-Moore is in his last year. Hurst over Wesley and Ducasse, experience.
  14. Jensen should be the starter. He graded out so high last year it was ridiculous. He's a Yanda clone. Urschel looked good as well, but Jensen is a beast. So you go Stanley, Jensen, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner. With Urschel, Lewis, and ? as backups. I say ? because we need a backup OT, but Hurst is not the answer. I hope someone beats him out for the job. I know we signed some undrafted OL like Skura and Broxton. We'll see.
  15. Nobody would give you anything for him. He hasn't played enough and when he has he hasn't looked good. I think they release Brown. They carry Mosley, Orr and McClellan as ILBs and Correa as a ILB/OLB hybrid. The Ravens will have to use that extra roster spot for a 4th TE, so they won't carry a 4th ILB.
  16. I've been campaigning for years to put Derrick Mason in the Ring Of Honor. The toughness he played with, he helped develop Joe Flacco, 6 years here and he had 4 1,000 yard seasons, and the other 2 were over 900 and 800. He's the best WR in Ravens franchise history. I also think Chris McAlister should be considered as well.
  17. It should say, favorite Raven of all time not named Ray Lewis or Ed Reed. Reed is my favorite Raven of all time. But not counting those 2, I'd have to say Suggs. But I did love Derrick Mason. I also loved Anquan Boldin, even though he was only here a couple years.
  18. there is a reason why most HOFer are called once in a generation player. Because they only come around once in a while and you rarely see a team replace that type of player with the same caliber player. Unfortunately we have to come to grips with the fact that this team won't have a Ray Lewis/Ed Reed type duo on defense for a long time if ever again. At this point I think the best the Ravens could do at those positions are CJ and Weddle and that combo isn't even in the same stadium as Sugar and Quick. Now that's not to say this defense can't or won't be great again because I love the young talent this year, but imo the era of place average to good players around 2 HOFers and the defense being dominate are done. The Ravens have to work harder to draft quality guys and coaches develop those guys. Because you are right by saying Ray and Ed made everyone else better but that crutch is no longer here. Average to good players around 2 HOF? Boulware and Sharper were great LBs, McAlister and Woodson were great CBs, Thomas, Adams, Siragusa, and Burnett were great DL. Were those guys HOFs, no. But to call them average to good is an insult. While Lewis and Reed were the stars, that defense was stacked with great talent.
  19. He has Kendrick Lewis as a lock to make the roster. Ha ha ha ha. I'm assuming he's trying out new material for his stand up career. We all know Weddle and Webb are our starting Safeties. That leaves two backup spots. Why would Lewis make it considering he can't play Special Teams? Anthony Levine will be our backup FS because he can play CB if needed and he's our best Special Teams player behind McClellan. As for SS, it's a toss up between Brooks and Elam. Whoever can play better ST will make it. I'm leaning towards Brooks because he has another year of control and he's cheaper and younger. But Lewis is too old and slow to play ST, why waste a roster spot on a guy who can't play. As a Safety he graded out as one of the worst, so I wouldn't even use him to spell one of the starters. Plus you throw in the fact that if you cut him you'll save over a million in cap space, and there's no reason to keep him. He will be a camp body. The Ravens might cut him early in order to give him time to sign with someone else. Think I'm wrong? Tell me why.
  20. I think we'll carry 4 Safeties. Two free and two strong. We all know Weddle and Webb are the starters. I have Levine as our backup FS, because he is one of the best on Special Teams and can also play CB. That leaves 3 guys for one SS spot. I think Lewis will be cut. They will keep him as a camp body and an insurance policy in case there's an injury. But he's too slow and you can save over a million in cap space if you cut him. So it's either Elam or Brooks. You save more money if you cut Elam, and he's also in his last year where as Brooks has two left. Elam looked great in camp last year before he got hurt, and Brooks slowly regressed as the year went on. Basically it's a toss up. It will come down to training camp. Right now, I give it to Brooks, because of the business side of it.
  21. What's wrong with you Eisenberg? The Ravens proposal will cause more delays and stoppages. How is that? Teams will have the same amount of challenges, so the delays will basically be the same. If you increase the number of challenges, then you will cause more delays, but that's not what they proposed. I think it's a great idea and you can't really find any fault in it, especially not a time issue. The refs might not like it, it's more opportunities for them to be proved wrong, but nobody remembers the ref who made the wrong call after its overturned, they remember the ref who made the wrong call that stands.
  22. I have us carrying 7 WR. Smith, Wallace, Perriman, Aiken, Moore, Matthews, Reynolds. I think there will be a battle for the last spot between Campanaro and Reynolds. Could both of them make it over Matthews, sure. But since they are so similar, you only need 1. Matthews is a big bodied receiver who brings too much to the table not to carry him. He's an excellent red zone receiver, and he's got experience. I think he gets the 6th spot. The 7th is up for grabs, and the return game will be a big factor in determining who gets it.
  23. He has us carrying 9 OL. I don't see that happening. I think we'll carry 8. LT - Eugene Monroe LG - Ronnie Stanley C - Jeremy Zuttah RG - Marshal Yanda RT - Rick Wagner I think that will be the starting line, for now. With Urschel, Jenson, and Lewis as the backups. With all of those guys able to play multiple positions on the line, I don't see a need to carry more than 8 OL.
  24. (2) QB - Flacco, Mallet (3) RB - Forsette, Allen, Dixon (1) FB - Juszczyk (3) TE - Watson, Gillmore, Williams (7) WR - Smith, Wallace, Perriman, Aiken, Moore, Matthews, Campanaro (8) OL - Monroe, Stanley, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner, Jenson, Urschel, Lewis (4) DT - Williams, Jernigan, Davis, Henry (3) DE - Guy, Kaufusi, Urban (4) ILB - Mosley, Orr, McClellan, Brown (5) OLB - Suggs, Dumerville, Correa, Smith, Judon (5) CB - Smith, Wright, Davis, Young, Arrington (2) FS - Weddle, Levine (2) SS - Webb, Brooks (3) ST - Tucker, Koch, Cox (1) 53rd Man - Ochi IR/S - Boyle PS - Waller, Butler, Reynolds, Canady, Broxton, Skura, Puckett, ?, ?, ? Position Battles: West, Richardson vs. Ochi for the 53rd Man spot Butler vs. Matthews for the 6th WR spot Reynolds vs Campanaro for the 7th WR spot and Return duties Elam vs. Brooks or Levine for the final S spot Canady vs. Arrington for the 5th CB spot
  25. I'm gonna go with 5. The top three picks plus Dixon and Moore. Moore makes it because SSS, Aiken,(fingers crossed) and MAYBE Perriman gets back on the field. All of our other receivers are what is referred to as a JAG.....Just Another Guy. As far as Urban, Taliaferro, and Juszczyk distinguishing themselves, other than Juice getting on the field in spurts, I'd say the "Distinguished Bar" has been set pretty low. Your nuts! Every pick will make the team except 2 and even they have a shot. Reynolds and Canady won't make it, but... Reynolds will be battling with Campanaro for the 7th WR spot and K/P return duties. Canady could be the 53rd man, if he looks good they could part with Arrington. But it's almost a lock that our first 8 picks make the team, and I believe Judon will also make it because of his pass rush ability. You guys sound like you know nothing about football, especially KidNme.
