  1. The restructure doesn't feel like a guarantee of him being here next year.  Set up to pay him 2015 salary as a signing bonus.  If he is traded, it reduces the impact to the cap.  We have Urschel/Jensen as viable replacements at the Center position.  Their salary demands are less,

I see a bigger bodied center in Jensen being able to do battle with larger NT's more efficiently in PP than Zuttah.

  2. He did! It seemed to me like LT chased the guy down and took his foot off the gas near the end coz the runner was going out. Jensen if I'm not mistaken just went all in and hurt LT who wasn't expecting that. It's unfortunate when things like this happen

You are mistaken.  Hurst landed on him while they were both attempting to make the tackle.  Hurst was injured on the play as well and suffered a concussion.

  3. Maybe, but not this year. In all likelihood the Ravens will carry 8 OL this year. Monroe, Yanda, Zuttah, Osemele, Wagner, Urschel, Hurst, and Myers. Myers is a draft pick so he's in. Urschel and Hurst are proven backups and capable starters. And by some miracle they do carry 9 OL, Reid will probably get that spot. The question is, is Jensen eligible for the Practice Squad. He was inactive for his Rookie season. The 2 extra spots on the Practice Squad, they implemented last year are allowed to have 3 seasons and still be eligible. We'll have to wait and see, but he won't make the 53, there's just no room.

    Eligible.

A risk to place him on the PS is someone may very well grab him off waivers (Think Kubiak).   Reid if cut is out of work unless someone else signs him.  Urschel has a brain injury.  With that intellect, how many of those does he risk before he goes back to academia and a career solving problems for NASA? The Ravens have invested much already in Jensen.  Myers was not picked too far up the scale from Jensen.  Jensen has more experience, versatility and from what I have seen......much tougher.  Meyers getting cut puts him out there for someone to grab, but I think the risk of him getting picked up would be less.  That gives him time to develop on the PS and we don't risk losing on the investment already made in Jensen.

I don't envy the front office decision on this one.

In keeping with the thread, Matt Schaub impressed me.  The second string OL kept him upright and gave him the chance to go through his progressions.
