So let's recap: Jensen gets smacked and didn't do anything.......should he have retaliated and drawn a fifteen yard penalty? Sometimes being tough is about taking it and walking away. Any undisciplined fool can participate in a patty cake slapping session and it doesn't make you tough. How about no sacks, no hurries, and no knockdowns against their #1 draft pick? How about him busting butt downfield on every run play looking to make another block at the second level? Imagine your 50th or 60th snap and they send two-three guys into your gap. You think you're going to get pushed a little? Second NFL start. Pretty good performance if you ask me. Have you sat down and watched O-line play throughout the league? How about the O line for the Broncos? Ostweiler took some mammoth hits all through the game. He's lucky to be breathing today. I think we whine too much about our O line when all in all, we are pretty solid compared to many. Yeah, I know.....blast me with Forsett's injury and let's see who we can blame for Joe's injury. It's football. Players get beat. Players get hurt. Players miss blocks. Players drop passes. Players muff punts, throw interceptions, ect. ect. ad nauseum. What is all together important is the body of work that a player puts together and how they contribute to the team. We want perfection at every position it seems, and then howl when a player who puts together a great game and has one penalty......and then we throw out the whole effort as a failure. Do you live up to that standard at your workplace? In your life? Good grief, I understand getting frustrated with players. I've yelled at the TV multiple times for multiple things. But don't accuse an NFL player of not being physical because he doesn't respond like a pre-teen crybaby by engaging in an activity that will draw penalty yards, get him fined just to prove to you "he's a tough guy". Rewatch the game. Focus on any lineman you choose and really watch the battle taking place in the trenches instead of following the ball. It might change your mind about how physical our lineman really are. Peace.
