  1. Really pulling for Webby, one of my favourite players but if he can't stay healthy this year I fear for his spot on the roster next season. I get the same feeling watching him play that I did with Pitta after his surgery, very uneasy waiting for an injury. Hope he erases those conerns this year!
  2. Anyone else feeling like we could have a couple Anquan Boldin type receivers in Aiken and Butler? If Kamar improves on last year and Butler can live up to the hype that's rising on him, I feel very confident on our group. Throw in Perriman, Smith Sr still gettin after along with Marlon Brown, Campanaro if he can stay healthy, Waller, Carter.. Add in Crockett who I believe will put up numbers close to that or around Owen Daniels numbers last year and Maxx/Boyle subbing in with Pitta a potentia to add in, we are looking damn fine. Now let's get through training camp without any big injuries.
  3. High expectations for Jeremy, been keen on him since last year. On a side note apparently Zach Orr has had a great offseason and camp, taking first team reps today. Glad to see another UDFA making a solid case to be on the team, however that doesn't bode well for Arthur Brown. Really hoping he turns it around.
  4. I think Suggs is still going to be an effective player no doubt, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is the year he starts to trail a little. I hope I'm very wrong, but there is something a little alarming about the way he spoke about his body and outlook at the podium yesterday. I may be looking into it too much, but he didn't have that same "Sizzle" we usually get. Hopefully that's back come training camp, along with his fitness level. I do have to say the pass rush is my biggest concern heading into this season, especially if Zadarius doesn't make an early impact.
  5. I think Ray deserves a second chance based on the character he showed over the years. I do think good people make mistakes, and his was a terrible one indeed. What grinds my gears is how someone like Floyd Mayweather, who's a serial abuser of women and who knows what else, receives almost no flak whatsoever. IMO he should be banned from the sport and in jail, but for some reason he gets a pass.
  6. In my opinion if we weren't so thin in the "slot receiver" position, Camp would be gone. This hurts as I love the guy and I think if he stays healthy he can definitely figure into any teams rotation, but we seem to be deep at WR. Locks are SSS, Perriman, Marlon, my guy Kamar Aiken and Waller. Unless Camp shines in training camp and stays healthy, I think we go with Butler and Deandre. Deandre bumps out Camp being the same mold of player and his ability to return kicks. Therefore I see us keeping 7 receivers.
  7. Dameshek is a troll and his Steeler bias is so obvious it's painful, pretty sure he's stated it several times. Guy routinely hates on Joe and the Ravens so I wasn't surprised by our ranking and the Steelers (#1). Harrison putting us in the second tier of AFC teams however is a joke. We may have an untested (outside of SSS) receiving corps with tons of upside, but last time I checked stacked WR groups don't win Super Bowls. This team is extremely well rounded with talented young depth and proven veteran commodities at every position on this roster. I truly believe if we stay healthy that we will have one of the better rosters we have had in a long time. We'll be in the thick of things come January.
  8. Matt has the talent, if he can work on his tackling (which he's done well with in the past so I believe he can improve here) and on the mental side things will click for him. I still believe in this guy, but another disappointing year would be enough for me, and likely our FO. This may be irrelevant, but I find myself thinking back to his first off-season (I believe) with the Ravens when he took a job at a sporting goods store hoping to learn the ins and outs of running a business etc. Remember thinking at the time that he probably should have been more focused on football and refining his craft in his first off season, especially playing a very mentally demanding position like safety. I always felt that would hamper him rather than help him (in football anyways), perhaps there's some legitimacy there. Anyways I'm rooting for Matt and believe we now have the necessary depth back there at safety. Can't wait for the pads to come on.
  9. Hopefully Terrence can develop into Hill's buddy on the field as well, would love to see him take the free safety spot next year.
  10. In a perfect world for next year, I'd prefer to see us find a way to hold onto KO and Yanda with Urschel replacing Zuttah at center, however I think it's going to be very tough to hold onto both of them. I think we are going to end up seeing Urschel take over for one of Yanda and KO, and I have a feeling we may be seeing Yanda in another uniform next year. One of my favourite players hands down, and I know the front office is and will continue to do everything they can to keep him. However, as we know, Ozzie sets his price and if Yanda won't agree, he will move on to the next man up (KO). The FO has made hints lately that they are comfortable moving on if an extension can't be reached. Anyways that's next year, this year if we stay healthy and our rookies can be moderately productive I think we're looking at one of the better rosters we've had in a long time. Cannot wait for the pads to come on!
  11. @Adamame Sounds good. Sounds like he needs time to develop, especially with route running and catching, but hearing he is a very sound blocker which is what we really need at TE. As @Ravens07 said, this pick has Kubiak written all over it. Finally the FO gave Kubiak and Pariani a new toy to develop.
  12. Picking up Brooks should help at FS, again the draft isn't the be all end all, many cuts to come yet and you can be Oz will find a bargain or two that will come in and compete. I have faith in Brooks, loved him from the beginning and will help in the back end. While I agree we are unsettled at RT, you cannot rule out Rick Wagner who showed promise in his limited action and needs to be given his fair shot. I have gotten the feeling all along that the FO was high on Wagner, and I think the selections today proved that. Either that, or the FO is comfortable picking up Eric Winston as a stop gap or maybe a future cut. Where I cannot argue is your statement at RB, with RR almost certainly to get suspended for minimum one game, and Pierce is not an every down back, however I do believe he is much better than what we saw last year. He can carry the load on first and second down competently, but we definitely are lacking an every down back or receiving back. Hoping they have a plan there, or we have a big whole to fill.
  13. Crockett Gilmore? I guess he gets points for the name, but haven't heard a thing about him.. anyone know anything about this guy? Hearing he's a solid tight end who can block and catch, small school guy
  14. Maybe even Cameron Fleming at RT with our 3rd round comp pick? Listed as the 49th best layer on Gil Brandt's board, excellent run blocker with room to improve as a pass blocker, lots of upside..
  15. Sad to see West go, especially to the browns.. irked with that one. However that cb Keith Mcgill is still available, wouldn't mind seeing him picked up. Great size and potential (6'3 I believe), maybe we could kick webby into the slot if we pick him up?
  16. @BaltimoreGold must have missed that one.. either way extremely happy with brooks at this spot. Another great value pick, defense is stacking up. Now hopefully we see Terrence West in the purple in black.
  17. Terrence Brooks!!!
  18. On the clock! Please Terrence Brooks or Allen Robinson..
  19. Please let Terrence Brooks make to our first 3rd rounder.. then either the tight end CJ crazylastname or terrence west with our third round comp pick
  20. Look at the last superbowl.. defense wins championships, and with our first two picks we have given our defense the tools to be excellent and atop the league. Hopefully we can find a solid safety through draft or free agency when cuts roll around, and a solid slot corner. However, the jury is still out on chykie and asa, although personally I think Asa could emerge as a very solid slot corner
  21. Have faith people, Oz is always thinking future not just immediate needs and Canty/Ngata getting older. Don't see why this is so surprising when we all know our FO sticks to the best player available policy and they certainly followed through here. Jernigan was seen as a mid first round pick and slipped due to a failed drug test at the combine and some maturity concerns. Great value pick once again! Now hopefully they get rb/cb/s with our 3rd round picks
