I think BP is gonna have a great rookie year. I think 50-60 catches around 1000yards. I think he will get off to a slow start then will hit a stride. I don't know if you can call that great, but I'd be more than satisfied with that production. I don't like predicting tds, too many variables go with that.
I don't think that he will see as many targets and yards as some say. I agree about him starting out slow, but that should be expected..especially with the WR vets playing so well early on. I could see Kamar and Butler easily taking a percentage away.
I do say we see more than expected from Maxx. Pitta being on the PUP and Crockett by nature taking more of the blocking role see Maxx being huge in moving the chains and being a redzone threat. Hopefully after OTA's he will come back more hungry.
Good read. I don't really think the offseason QB camps ever really caught on when Peyton, and Mark Sanchez did them. Flacco stood tall and wasn't interested. I guess you can only practice routes and play catch for so long until its beating a dead horse.
It's going to be fun watching a top tier WR develop in our system. I think Perriman is going to bring something special we have't seen in a Ravens uni
Interesting to hear the 2011 draft scenario. I think looking back at it now, I would have made that move considering Jah Reids' NFL career, along with the rest of the players we took before him (Kindle/Cody). We typically never receive negative reactions from players around negotiation time and think Oz would have gotten a deal done way early before it would have even reached the point of aggravation.
you know..the wide receiver that least excites me is marlon brown.
i wouldn't be upset if the WRs were
Smith
Aiken
Butler
Perriman
Campanaro
Waller
i just don't see what brown has that these guys don't...
Agreed. Marlon Brown played way flat last year when asked to step up. I think he gets pushed down the roster if not off with the amount of talent we have now. Seems like everyone else is hungry except him.
July 15th is the deadline date. Still have Dez,D Thomas and Houston. I think they all play under the tag plus I believe Dez is full of hooey.
Yea, I think he would consider skipping TC because honestly who really enjoys that, but don't imagine him skipping games with the fines being so strict
Need to see what happens in training camp. If Perriman buckles down and learns all the plays, I think he will give Torrey a run for his money year one
Can we start talking about Flacco holding private camps with his new weapons now?
Can't leave Boyle out of the discussion. Reportedly, he was balling during rookie camp, mini-camp and OTAs.
Very true, I don't anticipate seeing much playing time from him with so much talent and experience in front of him. I am looking forward to seeing the competition in TC
Looking forward to the TE scenario playing out. I really think that Maxx Williams is going to be one of the leagues best and hope to see him get playing time this year. Plus I just got his jersey so theres that.
Don't get me wrong, I like Pitta on the team, but personally would rather not see the guy put himself back in a position to get hurt again. Last known sighitng of him playing for me was when he fell down out of the clear blue in pain...not pretty.
The way I see it playing out is Pitta hanging around with limited snaps Crockett getting majority and Maxx stepping in for the remainder. I see Maxx getting stronger as the year progresses and predict him getting a TD in this years SB.
He's signed for how much? $40 million? Of course he's going to talk up the Lions. Let's see if he retires as a Raven or , if he makes the HOF which team will he chose to represent.
In the meantime, i'll just leave this here...

I can see both sides, espesically since we haven't heard and stellar reports about him thus far. Like most have said he is so young, I think it might take a year for the game to slow down and learn the play book. Won't be a issue considering we were waiting to see what Pitta is doing anyway.
Either way doesn't matter much because Maxx is going to be a beast once he starts. He know's how to get open and can own in the redzone...Flacco is going to love this guy
I was thinking about this topic the other day. I'm hoping that we can get some our young players to carry the torch and keep our physical identity. It's clear the Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Sizzle chapter is coming to a close.
It will be weird when Suggs hangs it up.
Mentioned this on the Carl Davis thread, but would probably be better suited here. Props to our scouts and Coach Brooks for reloading on this position year in and year out. Coach Brooks is really the unsung defensive coach we have developing stud D linemen.
One major reason why I think most of us were alright watching Ngata sign with Detroit
Carl Davis has a lot going for him. We do a really really good job developing DL. I can't understate how good Brooks is. With that said, you can't squeeze blood from a turnip. We didn't get much out of Cody. One bad example doesn't exclude all the good. I have high hopes for Davis because we've proven to be capable of getting talent where it's present. If Davis fails then it'll be because of his mentality and attitude
Coach Brooks ability to coach and develop DL amazes me. Year after Year we have members of our DL hit FA to get paid and we continually reload on playmakers.
For that reason I was content with Ngata walking and letting Brandon Williams/Jernigan step up. I'm sure Carl Davis will play great here.
Thanks, this was cool. Is Harbs against having cameras behind the scenes?
I used to watch the Real Rob Report back in the day when he was still on the team. Pretty fun watching the team from a player/coach perspective without the media in their face.
Really impressed with the moves we have made this year in the secondary.
Last year we were in a tight spot and as a result fell down the ranks. Just makes me think about the year when our O line ranked below average and the FO came back with a top 10 O line...maybe even top 5...can't remember.
Favorite move was bringing in Kyle Arrington. Not only because it probably pissed the Patriots off, but also a upgrade since the Corey Graham days
your avatar is god-tier
Haha thanks man. I needed to watch that youtube clip at work the other day just to relate
I read this story and could understand where Oher is coming from, but it's not something I feel you should express in the limelight. The way he puts it makes it sound like another Jonathan Martin case which makes him sound soft.
I watched the blindside, and know what the man has gone through, but he needs step up and prove the naysayers wrong.
For some reason I feel that Flacco is going to put up BIG numbers this season...
Absolutely agree. Flacco has the most experience out of any of our play makers besides SSS which I'm sure drives him to stand out and make plays.
I also think he would like another Disney World trip......
Just a thought...it was interesting in his presser today, when SSS was asked what he thought of the WR talent so far competing for spots and jobs he specifically listed Perriman, Aiken, M. Brown, Carter, Campanaro, Worthy, and Butler, add in SSS and that makes 8! lol I know he doesn't make the decisions, but he sure ought to know something about talent at WR, just sayin', lol. I just thought his perspective was interesting.
About to listen to that presser now..do you think we would keep two short shifty WR's on the roster in SSS, Campanaro & Carter?
In the past Oz and the FO have stressed that they want tall big bodied WR's. I would love to see them implement a passing attack like NE has in regards to striking underneath with quick slot WR play
I dont know if this has been said but our return game concerns me.
Every one I know will be good is not worth the risk, or may have physical reliability issues. Everyone else I am unsure of.
I agree with you. In general, haven't heard much about this squad, but typically just second stringers and a returner...Jacoby fell off the wagon so it will be interesting to see who can step up.
Our coaching is good enough to at the very least band aid through the season and recover next season need be.
Doom sounds hungry this year
About time Harbaugh got some love from the media. The fact that our team has the ability to catch a second wind, and keep fighting at the end of the season speaks highly towards our HC
I'm a homer without a doubt, but these guys are the best O-Line in the NFL. It's going to be a sad day when Yanda or KO get lured away next year. Either way its been amazing watching this group play...never will forget the McKinnie and Oher days. Even back then Yanda and KO where wrecking people on the inside.
One more Superbowl for Flacco with this group would be great
I am really starting to like this year's competition at WR. I think we have a lot of talent at the position and can see 1s, 2s, and 3s a crossed the board.
I agree with your top 4. But I put Waller and Carter at 5 and 6. If we carry 7, who ever is healthy between Camp and Butler gets that last spot.
It's hard for me to choose Carter over Camp, but he has been so fragile I would have to agree. I think I would still take Camp over Butler.

I was definitely pumped to read this even if it's only really focused on Bisciotti's pockets.
Either way it really shines the light on how much this organization has grown and how Baltimore loves football
