We would be in serious trouble without all of these veteran signings on our team.
Honestly called the Fotsett release and glad they cut the cord despite being a stand up guy.
As @JoeyFlex5 said the Ochi and Butler releases are disappointing. I trust our FO because they do get a larger sample size.
Think im done with the Campanero train...seriously???injured again ::sigh::
2 minutes ago, jboy19 said:If this is for a 33-year old return specialist who was injured pretty much all of last year... that's just cruel.
Agreed. Not interested at all.
Would rather give the time to Camp despite the one time in his career that he fumbled. Jacoby was on the team for 3 years and we watched him fumble a game changing kick off against the Texans...

I would be completely shocked
22 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:PFF came out and watched practice and said there's no reason he shouldn't be a 1,000 snap tight end. They think he should be the starter.
What I like to hear. Think he was a great pick in round 2 for us in last years draft. Envision him as a better pass catching/mobile version of Todd Heap.
It would be Pitta, Gilmore, or Watson being the more unlikely of the three depending on what the offers were. Gilmore is a solid option at the spot, but would be willing to part...think we've seen his ceiling IMO.
Anything to get some more playing time in for Maxx.

True. I think we are all rooting for him

Agreed, his antics annoy me in pressers also. Sad day that he is taking over for my normal commuting time on the radio, but now that I know I'm not the only one, I cant imagine this will be for long
17 hours ago, Ravenseconbeast said:Remember our top TE pick Maxx? Buried in depth chart. The guy better pick up the slack and start beating one of our vets. 2nd year is his time to start catching and get open on all the snaps he gets!
Soo disappointing thus far. He was my favorite pick up in that draft...absolute beast in the pass catching game
I really like the Jake Long signing regardless of where he plays. It would be interesting to see Long at LT and Ronnie at LG, but then again we should let this be determined in TC.

Lets suppose (hypothetically) that Zeke DID do this. All indications are its untrue, but just indulge me for a second.
So the OP is suggesting that the solution for a team who just had their star RB arrested and then likely suspended for Domestic Violence is to go sign the poster child for Domestic Violence.
Seriously? Somebody say that out loud and tell me how you think that plays out positively for ANY organization on the planet?
I don't think I would have jumped to that conclusion. Just my opinion, but I would have taken it adversely, Dallas being an advocate against DV with signing someone like RR who openly admitted he was wrong and spent the last couple of years working to recover.
Again, this wasn't supposed to be solely directed at Zeke and Dallas. Really any team in need of a RB.
Apologize if this topic sounds like an attempt towards beating a dead horse, but I thought I would start a thread just in case this gets more attention towards Ray Rice rejuvenating his career playing.
Especially considering the recent allegations facing Ezekial Elliot...rookie none the less. Does anyone see Ray getting a look in Dallas or anywhere else after the statement he made yesterday?
Welp thats all she wrote...I have a lot of respect for people like him when it boils down to things. He obviously respects his body and mind more than making millions to destroy them. Solid move Eugene.
QuoteFree agent OT Eugene Monroe announced his retirement after seven seasons in the NFL.
In his retirement letter linked below, Monroe cites health concerns as one of the main reasons for his decision. "The last 18 years have been full of traumatic injuries to both my head and my body," Monroe wrote. "That’s why one of the first things I’m planning to do is to go to the doctor ... I’m going to get brain and body imaging scans, mental health assessments — anything that might help me get a handle on the state of my body and my mind." Monroe added he will continue to be a "vocal advocate" for medical marijuana research, especially as it pertains to treating CTE. Only 29, Monroe is not the first and certainly will not be the last to hang up his cleats early because of head trauma concerns.
Not shocked by his decesion. Sounds like his injury history opened his eyes a bit with the simple risks out-weighing the rewards
Ed Reed...ALL DAY
Cool highlights. Ed Reed looks twice the size as he did later in his career.
In terms of earlier games, I really liked last years game against Carolina. SSS put on a clinic and had a similar catch that you showed.
writing on the wall per rotoworld. Disparaging for all of us Campanero supporters. I still don't see how the Ravens cut him..to many underlying questions and ability to pass up
QuoteRavens sixth-round rookie Keenan Reynolds is "further along" at receiver than the team anticipated at this point.
ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley calls Reynolds the "most intriguing rookie on the team" and expects him to get a shot to return punts and see snaps on offense. Reynolds was a triple-option quarterback at Navy and set the record with 88 rushing touchdowns. He has a good shot to make the team.
I usually am good for at least one game a year, but honestly enjoy it more from home. Way better seats...and we get heat!
Would consider doing some tailgating and maybe catching the Ravens/Eagles game if I can find a deal.
21 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:I'm going to use TicketMaster right at 10:00 because I want to make sure I get the exact seats we want since this will be my first game, but that's a relief to hear that they aren't impossible to come by.
I typically use ticket master and stub hub, but might be worth checking Baltimore craigslist. The closser you get to the 50 yard line the more expensive and harder it will be to get multiple seats together.
Could always just buy 4 and scalp one for a few beers or merch.
Agreed. No way he is leaving town to sign with another team. Just would not happen....even if he suffered some sort of career jeopardizing injury
(See: Dennis Pitta)
7 minutes ago, rmw10 said:Yeah I don't remember where I found it, but there was an interview last year during his amazing run where he basically said that he had to start from scratch and relearn how to pitch because that's what the Cubs wanted him to do.
I'm a huge advocate of 105.7 the fan and heard some shows talk about that. Specifically about Adair not allowing Arrieta throw one of his pitches...I think it was a screwball, but not sure
I wouldn't want Weedle to have that role anyway. He should be more focused on making plays rather than managing the rest of the defense.
Just now, 757RavensFan said:"IF" he were to struggle as the Def Capt, how many games would it take before you gave the responsibility to someone else?
Maybe the season..? I don't think this is as big of a deal as fans perceive it. Imagine about 80% of Pee's plays he radios in stand without audible
11 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:I think it says a lot when the Cubs got Arrieta that they told him to forgrt everything the Orioles show him and then he's out there lowering his ERA every single year until he has one of the best second halfs in MLB history and wins a CY Young.
You obviously can read minds
8 hours ago, BmoreBird22 said:I was reading an article on this and Ubaldo has a much better ERA and strike percentage when his delivery comes lower instead of upright.
When Gausman and Tillman were having issues, they were shifted into a more upright position and it really helped both.
Have to wonder if the coaching staff told him to be more upright because if they did, it's really hurting him.
Would not be surprised. Our pitching department a crossed the board could be re-worked.
How was Donnie Hart last night?

Heard one of the commentators mention the Ravens defense was "reeling" and really liked that comparison. Looks like our guys thought it would be the same old story with the Browns laying down, but got caught off-guard.
...Harbs probably loved that.
A little nervous about week 3, but as a fan im...so tired of watching this defense.
