  1. do you trade down for a good qb that allows you to afford other pieces. i'm a joe fan. I saw him play at Delaware but when you throw that kind of interception that he threw against SF in your 8th year in the league you shouldn't break the bank to sign him.

    RIGHT PLAYER, RIGHT PRICE.

do you trade for sanchez or bortles or tannerhill. if Baltimore goes back to its roots its about a good running game a great defense and a game manager. see trent dilfer.

i'm a big flacco fan but only at the right price.

do you think this idea is a possible scenario with newsome or bisciotti?

  2. I rewatched the game last night and the problem with eh defense is they can't get pressure. sacks don't matter its about making the qb throw before the receiver finishes his route and getting the qb off their spot.

other then very little pressure despite blitzing and a couple of blown assignments the team played well. the difference in the game was the incurring of penalties in crucial situations. many of the penalties were on rookies. a penalty on a third down is like a turnover because instead of getting the ball the opponent gets a new set of downs. Wallers block in the back was a stupid call. he blocked him into the tackle.

the officiating is so different week to week I don't know how you coach these players. its a physical game. you are going to touch the opponent.

  3. the disparity in the openness of receivers is glaring. joe has a very small window and the opponents receivers are wide open and running free.

I knew we needed a touchdown on the 3rd and goal from the 5 on our last possession but who are you going to throw the ball to? this game was just like the san diego game last year at home. you knew if we didn't score a TD on the last possession that regardless of having the lead we were going to lose.

  4. I rewatched the game last night and it seems like we do not jam receivers at the LOS. We have no way of stopping a 3rd and short regardless of our pass rush because the receiver goes off the line for 5 yards and the qb throws the ball to him before he turns around. its impossible to stop 3rd and short the way we defend receivers.

forsett may be a one year wonder. he is quick and can find the whole but he doesn't run through tackles. if you get a hand on him he is going down.

    I didn't see much from #97.

  5. Steve, your letting this cheap out rebuilding thing happen so much, it has caught up to us and we have lost continuity....had we kept corey graham, even carey williams, our cbs would be set, even with a struggling webb

he's maxing out the cap every year so you can't call him cheap.

  6. Yeah but consider that Oakland's secondary is one of the worst in football, it's hard to name 2 active cb's on their team but at least their defense was having fun and getting pumped whenever they would make a nice play. I'm just telling you what I saw, our body language was terrible on defense after the Cooper TD/Aiken fumble disaster. They just looked frustrated after we went down early and nobody had any juice on defense, it was like that throughout the whole game. Even on the bench the defense was smiling and acting like it was under control even after getting carved up by the likes of Andre Holmes and Michael Crabtree. There was no urgency, there was no passion, there was no fire in their belly. It was not Ravens football, that's not playing like a Raven.

maybe pees needs to get out of the press box and down on the field.

  7. i heard it cost $1mm to stay out on the west coast for the week. that seems like a very large amount   but supposedly they shipped equipment out to the west coast in addition to all of the living arrangements.

the cost to stay out there shows the owners commitment to winning but his employees did not live up to their side of the bargain.
