  1. the ravens snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat
  2. Never thought we would beat ourselves. That's the advantage of having an old team.
  3. we are an average team trying to gut out wins.
  4. i saw the pictures on the ravens website and it looked like Jamal lewis was there. how well was it attended? how was it marketed? what was the agenda of events? i hadn't heard there was going to be an event. if i knew Jamal Lewis was going to be there i would have gone.
  5. "Flacco said he’s not going to adopt a run-first mentality by any means, but an area where he’s trying to improve his game is by keeping drives alive with his feet when he breaks out of the pocket. “I wish I would take a couple yards here and there when given the opportunity, but I’m usually still looking to make the big play downfield,” Flacco said. “I just have to get better and better and balance the two.” Joe passes up a lot of easy first down runs for more difficult passes down field. i thought he didn't run because he was bull headed. i am glad to hear he is taking this approach. we need to keep our defense off the filed as much as possible in addition to scoring.
  6. if were to lose against the jaguars it would be difficult for anyone on the ravens to be credible about talking about anything but 2016.
  7. do you trade down for a good qb that allows you to afford other pieces. i'm a joe fan. I saw him play at Delaware but when you throw that kind of interception that he threw against SF in your 8th year in the league you shouldn't break the bank to sign him. RIGHT PLAYER, RIGHT PRICE. do you trade for sanchez or bortles or tannerhill. if Baltimore goes back to its roots its about a good running game a great defense and a game manager. see trent dilfer. i'm a big flacco fan but only at the right price. do you think this idea is a possible scenario with newsome or bisciotti?
  8. timmy Jernigan. this guy was supposed to take over for nghata? this was a 2nd round player that we were told slipped out of the 1st round and the ravens made a steal. he slipped for a reason because he can't pout pressure on the QB or shed blockers to stop the run.
  9. For the 3rd week in a row a missed field goal by tucker makes a comeback requiring a touchdown instead of a field goal
  10. Run the ball. You can't trust flacon anymore
  11. I'm a flacco fan but harbaugh needs to call him out on that throw. He's paid 20mm a year and makes a throw off his back foot that a high school kid wouldn't even make. Send a message harbaugh. Let schaub finish the game.
  12. SSS drops 2 TD passes. he is the best we have but he is not ood enouh. marlon brown is a host. ive ross browns snaps to see what ross cnd do.
  13. I rewatched the game last night and the problem with eh defense is they can't get pressure. sacks don't matter its about making the qb throw before the receiver finishes his route and getting the qb off their spot. other then very little pressure despite blitzing and a couple of blown assignments the team played well. the difference in the game was the incurring of penalties in crucial situations. many of the penalties were on rookies. a penalty on a third down is like a turnover because instead of getting the ball the opponent gets a new set of downs. Wallers block in the back was a stupid call. he blocked him into the tackle. the officiating is so different week to week I don't know how you coach these players. its a physical game. you are going to touch the opponent.
  14. the disparity in the openness of receivers is glaring. joe has a very small window and the opponents receivers are wide open and running free. I knew we needed a touchdown on the 3rd and goal from the 5 on our last possession but who are you going to throw the ball to? this game was just like the san diego game last year at home. you knew if we didn't score a TD on the last possession that regardless of having the lead we were going to lose.
  15. filmstudy i miss your analysis of the OL play. the ol seems to have stepped back from last years performance. its looks to me Wagner is having a second year slump. what is you take on Rick Wagners play?
  16. i heard it cost $1mm to stay out on the west coast for the week. that seems like a very large amount but supposedly they shipped equipment out to the west coast in addition to all of the living arrangements. the cost to stay out there shows the owners commitment to winning but his employees did not live up to their side of the bargain.
  17. I rewatched the game last night and it seems like we do not jam receivers at the LOS. We have no way of stopping a 3rd and short regardless of our pass rush because the receiver goes off the line for 5 yards and the qb throws the ball to him before he turns around. its impossible to stop 3rd and short the way we defend receivers. forsett may be a one year wonder. he is quick and can find the whole but he doesn't run through tackles. if you get a hand on him he is going down. I didn't see much from #97.
  18. he's maxing out the cap every year so you can't call him cheap.
  19. the purpose off the thread was to show appreciation for Steve. people have short memories. two words, the [profanity deleted] "robert irsay".
  20. maybe pees needs to get out of the press box and down on the field.
  21. good summary. its amazing how brandon Williams could go from stud to dud in one week.
