Not sure if this was John decision to put on pads but perhaps. one of his coaches.  John been around the NFL long enough to know what the rules are.....  I doubt very seriously if he intentionally violated the rules without a thought.  

Many factors involved here but one for sure is "Greed" and self proclaimed "Respect".  I want to be respected and loved as I'm therefore .....pay me! I want to be the highest paid player on this team and if that means letting go of others then so be it.   After all most people  believe that because they’re rich, in a leadership position, or famous, they deserve our respect — regardless of their mediocrity.    Actually, nothing could be further from the truth. Doesn’t Linta work for Flacco?  Is it not his job to represent and execute the will of his client?  If there is a problem, it will be both Flacco and Linta.

Linta didn’t called Ozzie dumb, he said the Ravens were dumb for not extending Flacco before 2012 season.  In hindsight were they?  Some have said “yes” but not for the reasons identified by Linta.    At the end of the day, regardless of how I feel about it and the simple fact that I thought and still think it’s one of the dumbest contract the Ravens have ever issued to an average, mediocre player.

Flacco is not elite.  Never has been and never will be.  He is what he is just an average overpaid quarterback.

Really, you must be joking!  No weapons?  With Flacco's inaccurate arm it doesn't matters what you give him for he will find a way to overthrow and / or under-throw his receivers.

I always get a chuckle when fans whine about Joe being overpaid at $20M, yet every realistic person knows the floor for said player league wide is $17-18M a year.

So we make this big outrage over a 1-2% yearly difference in salary cap space. It's almost like fans think we are one $2M a year player away from being a SB contender or something.

It's really getting quite laughable with the lack of overall perspective. Go ahead, pay him $2M a year less so he's in line with the others just like him...and we will win zero more games.

We should ride out this year with Joe.  Joe has been very average with the exception of last years playoffs and the Super Bowl.  Joe is a good QB but we paid him to be a top 5 QB which he is definitely not.  This season when he played he wouldn't even be considered top 10.  

Top 10 not even the top 20.  He's awful!

Wow What????? Wilson is way better than Flacco.  I'm even a little upset you put them in the same sentence.  In free agency we need to look at a Quarterback as well.

 

I think he might benefit from having someone that could potentially take his job behind him. I don't mean Ryan Mallett either.

Yea, we do need to draft a QB.  Flacco, BKA, Mr. Interception is simply awful!  Indeed, Flacco name mentioned in the same sentence as Wilson is unthinkable for we all know Flacco lacks the discipline, skill set, intelligence and speed.  LOL,  pretty soon the Flacco worshipers will say that Joe is better than Johnny Unitas ever was..... LOL!

Stop the fear mongering. Flacco isn't special enough to have him match the price of guys like Rodgers or Russell. Flacco will never top guys like that.

There are so much young QBs that are more pro ready then ever before and you can match Flaccos progression among any mediocre QBs in the draft right now if you give him the chance like we have, EASILY.

You can take your 1TD/1INT guy and fear we are going to be the next browns w/o joe . I'm smart enough to know he doesn't have enough talent to offset what we are paying him to be a elite SB contenders.

If so, it's not because of Flacco but rather because his home base is in Virginia.  Very close to Baltimore.
