check out the PFF scores for the O-line Sunday. Bottom 5 were the line. They were manhandled...is it any wonder Flacco appears rushed and frantic. Granted multiple new pieces but even Yanda got his butt kicked. If Monroe is in the game Joe doesn't get his leg rolled up. His constant inability to be on the field is alarming for the money he's paid. Kudos to BW and CU who led the defense in a fine effort. Coaches-good teams have discipline and the constant stupid penalties have got to stop. Sunday's effort was uninspired and the next 6 weeks will tell us all how many holes we have going forward.
Wrong John Urshel scored a +1.7 i believe with a lot of snaps. So dont say them all. And Yanda got smoked for the reason that he cant block 2-3 guys at once. A O-line is just like a Phalanax if one piece is gone or out of position then it breaks.
3 ppl thts gonna be hard to place on this roster first maxx williams pitta may or may not turn to form and crockett gilmore aint goin down without a fight and i cant sre maxx as a #3 blocking tight end or special teamer they prob turn to nick boyle for tht. Next is touissant i think hes good and he can return punts thats a difficult cut there he can replace forsett if he goes down same style of play. And last imma say the whole wide reciver corp we been mediocore there for so long and now were too too deep alot of difficult cuts jermey butler campanaro marlon brown we cant keep em all it gonna hurt to see one of them go
Well Maxx Williams is staying. Pitta is most likely gonna be on the PUP List for the first 6 weeks of the season. Reason behind this was Pitta was not medically cleared for mandatory OTA's. With that being said he rushed back fairly quickly last year, and well we know what happened into the first month of the regular season. Now Gilmore is gonna be around. They got rid of Supernaw i believe and Nick Boyle is gonna be the second run TE with Gilmore. So with Pitta not taking up a spot on the roster due to the PUP placement it will be 3 TE's instead of 4 which is Williams, Gillmore, and Boyle in that order.
Touissant is most likely gonna be gone unfortunately i believe DEPENDING on how Campanaro works out. Heard he over-bulked up his hammy's (because of last year) and over did it that is why he injured himself in OTA's this year. I see Campanaro returning punts IF healthy.
Yes the WR corps has been not Medicore but DISMAL through the history of the ravens really. There has been some stand-out's here and there but nothing like our defensive players. And i mean that by we draft em, build em, train em, and they hang around for the duration of their NFL career. BUT with the release of Jones, Torrey Smith AND the tenure of Steve Smith SR coming to a end either this year or next, I see ALL the WR's we had last year staying WITH the addition of maybe 1 or 2. Right now it is Smith Sr, Brown/Aiken (can choose to put either 2/3 or 3/2) Perriman, Williams(can be utilized as a WR more then a TE) and with williams he can be counted as a WR spot even though his main position is TE. So that is 5 for a addition of possibly 1-2 more since we kept 7 WR's last year. Now can also make Williams ALSO as the fill in role for Daniels who left with Kubiak to help instill his system there in Denver, just like how he did here in Baltimore last season,
All in all I can see us keeping ALL the weapons from last year, WITH the addition of there being 4 TE's on the roster AFTER week 6. And mainly because that Williams can be essentially one person that can be used in 2 different positions. Instead of having a dedicated WR and a Dedicated TE. So Williams in essence I believe will HELP free up a roster spot due to the flexibility of having 1 person filling in 2 positions.
Anyhow just a thought. ![]()
It it possible to sign both if we could somehow extend one of them this year. The best strategy would be to extend K.O. this year because he's younger and will cost more if we sign him next year and will save a lot of money. Then we could sign Yanda next year because Yanda is older and probably want a 3 to a 4 year deal hopefully Joe will help us out to free some cap space to sign other players. But according to Wilson, K.0. is unlikely to extend this year is unlikely so this great strategy unlikely won't happen but if we extend Yanda instead of K.O. this year then it's very unlikely we would sign K.O next season because he will definitely cost too much to sign by bring a free agent.
doubtful. If you signed one this year you would essentially be banking on Joe Flacco to take a re-tool of his OWN contract. Remember at the end of this season Joe Flacco's Salary cap hit jumps from like 12.5 mil or 15 mil ALL the WAY to 28 Million. SO with only what 7 mil left over this year, to issue a BIG Money deal, and prety much roll the dice, and you might wind up like The Saints Trading away Jimmy Graham because if Flacco doesnt re-negotiate a contract then you are way in the red and that would be WAY worse then losing just Kelechi. Cause remember depending on the type of trade, you still might have to eat his Salary cap space. IF you would try to give one of the two a mega deal. Just saying
I agree, this team is pretty much set. The one "extra guy to put where want" will be a 6th corner back (Smith, Webb, Vaughn, Arrington, Melvin, Jackson and Walker). I think they keep 9 OL and 4 TEs however. We would lose Boyle if we put him on the PS and we need him in case Pitta goes down. The issues will arise at kick returner. If the Returner is a receiver, then we will keep 7 receivers and only 5 cornerbacks. If the returner is a cornerbacks then we keep 6 corners and 6 receivers (Smith, Perriman, Brown, Waller, Aiken and Butler). That means Campanaro or Carter make it as a returner or they get cut. The 6 DL look like Davis, Jernigan, Williams, Urban, Canty, and KLM. That means we cut Guy and Tyson? That would be tough to do as both played well last year when we needed them. Maybe keep Tyson or Guy and let Canty go? Barring injury, this team is ready to roll.
Actually we will keep boyle till week 6 on the starting roster. After that he MIGHT goto the Practice squad. And they might move him up and down all season like the TE's did last season. I believe they won't Rush pitta back and keep him on the PUP list. But that is jsut me. Before we needed him cause we didn't have depth BUT after this draft class it isn't that demanding to have him return by week 1.
What are you talking about Popeye the Sailor Man? Cam Cameron bringing Joe along slowly? Joe started from day one due to injuries in the preseason. That was just a lot of Huey. In my opinion Cameron was holding him back, hence the Joe Montana run to the Super Bowl. Caldwell didn't do much that was a status quo. Kubiak changed the system entirely. Now we have Mr. Trestman the "quarterback whisperer". Joe has all the tools and is a smart guy. I think this is going to be one of his finest seasons yet. Hopefully we keep Trestman for awhile? I think this is a great fit of personalities and the best of Joe is yet to come.
Believe we signed Trestman to a 3 year deal so he should be here for awhile unless we run him off.

Just wondering if and when they will post the signup for Training camp visitations? I really enjoyed it last year, and was stoked that I was picked to go last year. Just wondering if it is in the near future, to sign up with the dates like last year. Any information that anyone could possibly give would be great, went to the contest pages, and still nothing posted there. If in a different section or buried deep somewhere if someone could post a link to the page (if it is even up atm) for said registration.
Thanks and have a great afternoon!
