  1. Ray Rice did Ray Rice dirty. Ray Rice is to blame for why Ray Rice isn't playing for a team right now. Ray Rice spit on his wife, hit her once, and then slugged her and knocked her right out. Ray Rice then decided to lie about it to Roger Goodell and the Ravens. Ray Rice decided to sit there and act like it was his wife's fault that he slugged her like that in the press conference he held with Janay after the fact. Ray Rice is lucky he's not in prison. Ray Rice poisoned his name and Ray Rice doesn't deserve the privilege of playing in the NFL and making millions of dollars playing a game. Ray Rice is free to seek employment in any other venue he chooses. Ray Rice should be used as an example to NFL players that if you do something completely horrible you might very well be forfeiting the privilege to play in the NFL. You can't just get away with everything because you are a special athlete. Stop doing drugs, stop beating up women, and stop hanging out after midnight with guns in nightclubs. You're memory of history is faulty. Go back and read what really happened. Goodell and Biscotti responding to sob sisters of the media rather than their own humane judgment.
  2. So Rice knocks out a woman, on camera no less, but it's the Ravens fault his career is ruined? Brilliant. Not the Ravens fault. Only one man. Biscotti, the shame of Baltimore.
  3. I think you may be quite mistaken. Had the Ravens kept Rice, he would have continued to stay in the news, he would have continued to be a target for abuse organizations and he never would have been able to participate in the things he did to help him get his life back together. The Ravens would have been picketed, you had people burning Ray Rice jerseys and the publicity factor was too negative and would have had an effect on the locker room. Hardy is proof that even a very bad person can get a job in the NFL if they have the skill set. There are 31 other teams and, like Hardy, had they felt he was good enough, he would have gotten a chance. People told him over and over, go to the CFL, go to Arena, go somewhere where you can show you still have it and he chose to pursue a NFL career only which is never going to happen based on his skill set not his legal issues. He can still pursue a career in Canada where he could prove his worth, but he chooses not to do that. That is his choice. Well, we'll never know now, will we? The cowardice of the front office to try to do the right thing is the only real legacy we will ever have out of this sorry incident.
  4. Totally agree with your opinion. I'm afraid that's an episode the Ravens management will never live down. It's the shame of the front office, not the team or the players.
  5. Well, it's a Christmas Day game so when we beat them up there it will just remind all the Pittsburg kiddies of the coal we Ravens just stuck in their stockings that day.
  6. It's not happening. Don't know if you missed it but when Bisciotti was asked if there was any scenario that would have Rice back as a Raven, he said "it is safe to assume that he is done here" Maybe we can trade Bisciotti with someone for a fourth round draft pick?
  7. Pitta and Wallace understand how football is played. You don't smack your teammates like that in training camp though. One time? Okay you're a rookie we understand. He should have gotten the hint after Pitta went at him, considering I have never heard of Pitta doing that before. Then he decides to lay out possibly one of our most important weapons in Mike Wallace? Come on. Guys are trying to get through camp without injuries, and having a rookie linebacker laying out guys in training camp lowers those chances. I'm sure Flacco made that point known to him. I like the aggression he has and the way he is flying around the field, but you protect your own. Totally agree. C'mon, guys, wake up! It's the folks with the non-Raven birds on their uniforms you're supposed to bat around. We have enough injuries as it is.
  8. Totally agree with you. The shield was so big and multi-colored the players got lost to the viewers when they lined up on it. After all, the whole idea is for the fans to be able to SEE THE PLAYERS. Long live the cleaned up field!!! Play ball!! Reply
  9. You seem to be outnumbered...
  10. I agree there Sami. His may be a name we hear a lot more about!! Of course "popping" goes both ways. Yanda may get a little tired of seeing his side of the ball being beat up and plant Mr O a few rows up into the seats one of these days. Sort of a "welcome to the NFL" greeting, if ya get my drift.
  11. Webby popped one of his knees when he tried to stop too quickly on the artificial turf a few years back. I remember seeing it and almost barfing at the sight. It was terrible!
  12. Really? How many teams today could completely fill out a 22 man roster with only 1st and 2nd round players. Actually, I'll go further. How many could claim even 10 such players on their team?
  13. Turns out that there's a ton of waterfront property in Florida. And some of it isn't even on the waterfront! Go figger???
  14. We could do injuries like the New England Patriots and list everyone as day to day. Sounds like a plan!!! And when you think about it this is reality anyway. Anybody could go down at any time for virtually any reason. So relax, take a Valium, sit back and watch the games when they get here. All the rest is BS anyways.
  15. Maybe. But it sure doesn't hurt that they have been in the weakest division in the NFL for those same 14 straight seasons.
  16. Let me put my paranoid plotting hat on here. Let’s say a team has too many good players over the 53 man limit. Let’s also say they set the league record in having players get injured during the season. How can they solve this problem? Maybe they have some of their bubble players fail a drug test. So now they’re out for 4 games and don’t count against the limit. So the team gets to stash a bunch of players this way. By the time the suspensions are over several other regular players have gone down with injuries just in time to be filled by all those guys coming off suspension. Sounds like a plan to me. If not now then some time in the future?
  17. Because its the off-season and we need to talk about something. You got that right!!! September can't come soon enough.
  18. Looks like you can drop Waller at the TE spot. He was just suspended 4 games for substance abuse. smh
  19. I wonder at times if they are this stupid how can they retain plays from the playbook. They don't. Then the QB gets blamed for the incomplete pass when the receiver ran the wrong route.
  20. The QB position is the last one I am worrying about this year. Joe will probably heal up fine. And if he takes longer than expected to rejoin the team on the field then Mallett's performance last season is reassuring.
  21. I like the realism in Joe's comments. He's not just handing out the usual rah rah baloney that he's doing great and he's going to have the greatest year ever. He's being candid both with us and himself. He doesn't know what the year will bring and he's brave enough to maintain the curiosity to find out. One thing I've always liked about Joe has been his basic character trait of being real.
  22. TWEST-B.W.I ‎@TerranceWestBWI I changed 14 pampers today. 4 times out of the 14, both of my girls peed on me as I was changing there pampers. ? Hey, Terrance, They're not able to give you much else at this stage. Enjoy it while you can.
  23. "DEAN PEES SECONDARY'S IMPROVEMENT WILL SURPRISE PEOPLE" Hopefully in a good way.
