  1. Just remember . . . the worst 3-0 team in history is better than the best 2-1 team that ever was. I'm not saying it's real but it's how they score the teams in the standings and in the end that's how they pick playoff teams.
  2. Incorrect..... The comments came after Ramsey speared Smith in the back during a scrum on the field. I was there. Ramsey went after Smith and said "I got you"... Steve went back at him then and said "I'll see you after the game". It started way before that. Ramsey needs to be careful. This isn't the first time either... when you're on a team that is 0-3.... just sayin. He didn't shut Smith down either. Watch the video of Steve's 23 yard catch and run. I didn't know that. Assuming you saw what you said you saw that kind of play by Ramsey can get ugly down the line. In the distant past in the NFL team retaliation against a player trying to injure other players was much more common. Back then players policed their own, so to speak. It's less common now but it still does happen. Message to Ramsey = beware of cheap shots for you are vulnerable to the adage "what goes around comes around".
  3. Yeah, but Ramsey's comments came in the aftermath of Smith coming at him after the game. Smith, for all his likability can be very brash and confrontational, and I'm not shocked that anyone who feels disrespected by him would try to disrespect him in return. I like SSS but I have to agree that his aggressive talk does invite retaliation.
  4. Ahhhh, the back-shoulder fade, almost impossible to defend without a penalty... If it was, it would be all we'd see played. Problem is it is perhaps the hardest long pass to throw accurately enough to be caught. All the other longer passes allow the receiver to adjust to a pass thrown slightly off. The back-shoulder, not so much.
  5. I noticed that too. Didn't want to say anything but now that you mention it something is going on with him. Hope he cures it quickly.
  6. It feels like we are still in pre-season with all the mistakes we are making. It's hard to believe we are the only undefeated team in our division.
  7. It's just that some of us would like to see some verified facts to go along with your opinions. We can all fantasize criminality in every closet. In fact we often do. But where is your evidence?
  8. I wonder how much of our disappointing run production is due to the limited time this unit has had to drill together under game conditions during preseason. If that is the major culprit then our production should go up as the season goes on.
  9. Read above. Or more importantly, ask yourself how it benefits the Browns at all. Guys like Mallett are a dime a dozen. I wonder if anybody trades for players these days. Seems that only draft picks are traded for players.
  10. LOL Well, if the the Browns are crazy enough to trade thier best player for a backup than l well say go for it and make it happen. But l extremely doubt it, there's no way they were to trade Haden for Mallett. That would be really stupid for the Browns. Well, they did sign RG3, didn't they? Not exactly the smartest signing I'd ever heard of.
  11. Should've stopped at "crazy thought". Please amplify. Amplify what? Why its crazy? Do I really need to explain it? You do.
  12. Should've stopped at "crazy thought". Please amplify.
  13. Here's a crazy thought. Wonder if the Browns would trade CB Haden to us for our backup QB Mallett now that their present QB McCowan is prettily badly beat up?
  14. Totally agree! They were the worst! Unfortunately we need a few more wins to gain the respect of networks to start covering us with their better broadcast teams.
  15. For all kinds of reasons I realize the following is illogical but I’m feeling good so I thought I’d say it anyway. As I look at the standings this afternoon (Monday) we are a playoff team. My admittedly Pollyanna logic goes as follows. At the end of the regular season ten teams will make the playoffs. We are right now one of only seven teams to be 2-0 (one of eight if Eagles win tonight).
  16. That's Shareece Wright who had a great game the week before.
  17. When the playoffs start and the Ravens are playing nobody will remember this game other than it was a W. Oh, no. This one will be remembered. Recovering from the shock of being 20 down after the first three possessions and our gameplay not even being that good is memorable. Wallace, who has plenty of league experience, was impressed with how Joe and others did not get rattled but simply went out there and kept on grinding to eventual victory. Every time, in the long months of this season ahead, when we are in a hole we will come back to this game and remember. And then pick ourselves up off the ground, go out and grind on, and eventually win!
  18. I sorta agree. I think we have the talent to go far this year. But the team played like they were still in preseason, like the first day of preseason. Nonetheless I am grateful for the wins. C'mon, Harbs, practice these guys up so they stop making silly errors. The competition is going to get tougher.
  19. With Doom out and now Z recovering that only gives us 3 OLBs, one of them being a rookie. I can see where Pees would be worrying.
  20. Exactly. This is what happened, I believe, to baseball's Dizzy Dean back in the 30's.
  21. I doubt it was the catch that did it, though it was a spectacular catch to be sure.
  22. SPOILER ALERT to John Urschel's math questions: I believe the answers to the first two of John Urschel's math questions might have a close mathematical relationship.
  23. That might not work out so well. I seem to recall a few years back we tried a play setting up on offense so that a normal non-receiver became a tight end. I think the man we used as the new tight end was Ngata. And unfortunately I think he injured himself on that play. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
