Very good hire. Trestman knows talent. When he went to Chicago he drafted 2 O linemen to correct one of The Bears' most glaring problems. Then he went on to make a good QB out of Josh McCown. Trestman's biggest attribute is that he knows talent a valuable asset when we need to restock the O line.
Seems the NFL doesn't care about AFC North QBs. Flacco, sprained MCL and double spear to the jaw, no call. Big Ben Roethlisberger, broken nose, no call. Yep, I do indeed believe some are protected.

Great hire which is true to John Harbaugh's form. Again hired a former head coach with a great resume for leading an offense. Best man available for the job. I don't think for a minute, now that Coach has made his decision, that Biscotti had his hand in this. Kubiak gives us exactly what John Harbaugh said he was looking for.
I don't like any of the 4 candidates mentioned. Harbaugh is good at picking talented coaches. Not always the best but often is the case that the coach he chooses has been very successful in his field previously. I was unaware of Jim Caldwell's success at developing a tremendous passing attack in the college ranks until he got the job in Detroit. Unfortunately for Caldwell we had such a horrendous O line this past season He really couldn't get anything going however his ability was showcased in our Superbowl run. Harbuagh is right in wanting to develop a balanced attack. Only that will reestablish the Ravens in post season. Harbaugh will probably look to the college ranks. Also look to shore up the offensive line!
Certainly Harbaugh will bring in an offensive coordinator that is his pick and not a high profile guy brought in just to save his own neck. Agreed Kubiak and the rest would be good but they may look at it this way. "I'm coming in to save your neck. You are on the hot seat and you want me to save your career." Kyle Shanahan worked under Kubiak and may have some of the same skills but reports are that he is a spoiled brat. He's not a Raven. I feel strongly that Coach Harbaugh will look to the college ranks for who we need. I don't know of any at the moment as my knowledge there, as in many cases with pro sports, but I'm sure many of you learned fans have some great suggestions. Let's get it going and see who we can come up with!
Harbaugh is the one who hired Hue Jackson. Hue accepted a promotion in Oakland as an OC then to head coach. When Hue was fired Harbaugh didn't hire him back. I guess that could lead one to believe he didn't like Hue.
What Oakland fiasco? Hue Jackson ran a rag tag bunch of misfits picked by a run down old owner to 6th best in the league. Look at his body of work with the Bengals then Falcons, Ravens for the 2 years he was here, the Raiduhs then again for the Bengals. He traded a few maybes for a proven veteran. I will not give up on Hue Jackson. Best OC in the NFL.
I agree on Kubiak. He had a great offensive line with Elway and Terrell Davis behind it. He went to Huston where he again had all the moving parts. When the parts went away so did his effectiveness. I am the biggest Hue Jackson fan on earth. Hue is a true genius of offense. he can make a silk purse out of a sow"s ear on offense. Look at our offense the first 2 years he was here. Best time of possession in the league, rookie QB taking us to the AFC championship, Ray Rice the most yards from scrimmage in the league and in one game 2 of our running backs scored on 70 yard running plays against Dallas. Hue Jackson was just our QB coach at the time but he had much influence in the offensive scheme. Everywhere He's coached that offense excelled. My hat is in the ring for Hue Jackson. It is an absolute crime he isn't running an offense or head coaching somewhere in this league.
