  1. Ravens run the ball and spread the ball around too much for Perriman to lead in yards or receptions. Keep in mind Cooper and White are playing on teams that will amass huge amounts of junk yards once they're losing in the 4th quarter. Maybe TDs, but I doubt that too because we spread the ball too much. Plus I bet we start using all these TEs in the redzone.
  2. I wonder if Suggs and SS89 will help convince him to accept his baldness gracefully lol I can only imagine the locker room jokes.
  3. It's a shame they spent that pick on Wenning in such a loaded draft class. So many good players, even in the 6th and 7th round. I mean, they took Campanaro in the 7th by trading next year's 6th, if that's any indication of how deep it was.
  4. Elam will be camp fodder, a little competition to help make Nick Perry be the best player he can be.
  5. If they want a 1-dimensional SS, then Swearinger would be a good candidate. Keep in mind they rotate a lot of safeties. I mean, it's better than depending on Elam to make a tackle. Plus worst-case scenario, you cut Swearinger for no loss before the season begins (still on his rookie contract, and the Texans already paid his signing bonus).
  6. With the rookie wage scale, it's only news if a draft pick doesn't sign.
  7. DJ Swearinger was cut by Texans. He may be really slow, but he can lay the lumber as a SS. Plus he was teammates with Kendrick Lewis last year.
  8. I didn't see anything impressive out of him at GT, but then he wasn't asked to do much as a receiver anyway. I'm interested to see what he looks like in preseason.
  9. So basically the Sports Legends Museum? lol /although I will say the football annex is awkwardly placed kind of in the gift shop, and it pales in comparison to the baseball section. A better museum would be nice, but that costs $$
  10. "Perriman’s hands have been the biggest question since the Ravens drafted him, but he only dropped one pass all day."
  11. Sleep-study doctors and timezone doctors. Plus they apparently have statisticians who calculate added win % when attempting to convert a 4th down (they called upon them in the Dolphins game). Our coaching staff is remarkably diverse. ...and Chip Kelly thinks he's cutting edge, hah.
  12. Will Terrance Brooks even be able to practice before the season begins? His injury looked ugly.
  13. When we signed Nick Perry, the first person I thought of was Elam lol. Say what you want about Saban, but he teaches his players good fundamentals, which is something Elam lacks.
  14. I think I want Brady suspended just because it would piss off the NE bandwagon, fair-weather fans. Steelers could still lose anyway--they're without Bell and playing on the road, and their defense is going to be really bad this year with no LeBeau, a garbage secondary, and no pass rush.
  15. Hearing about Pitta doing better made me happy, but I really don't want to get my hopes up.
  16. I think a better solution would be to have Kyle Boller throw 5-yard slants as hard as he can--you know, how he normally played.
  17. Bengals will stay about the same, maybe improve if their receivers stay healthy. They still have no pass rush, which they didn't address in the draft. Steelers will take a step back. Their secondary looks league-worst on paper, and I'm not sure where they're going to get their sacks from. Plus they lost Dick LeBeau. Browns may be more competitive, but they still have no QB, so not too concerned there. I think the draft put us ahead of everyone else in the division, since we really answered our needs outside of CB pretty well (and if they just stay healthy, secondary should be average, at least). Losing McPhee as the 3rd pass rusher probably hurts us the most, since we kind of replaced Ngata with Jernigan/Carl Davis/B.Williams. Probably won't be top-3 in sacks this year. With the AFC/NFC West schedule, getting a WC spot will be difficult for the runner-up, so I hope we win the division.
  18. I wish I could afford a new jersey every year. I'm hoping this CJ Mosley one will hold me over for the next 10-15 years lol
  19. The players themselves are like fearsome predators, i.e. a bear. They have bear-like weapons to dismember opponents and catch footballs. If every team's players had to match the attributes of their mascot then Arizona's players would subsist on a diet of seeds, berries, and insects; New York's players would shuttle passengers around in their fuselage; and all of Cleveland's players would be brown.
  20. I read the title as Bear-Like, as in they have ursine properties that make them quite grizzly and ferocious. I honestly find it more applicable.
  21. I actually think the Browns may have had the best draft. People who hate on the Cam Erving pick don't realize that Alex Mack has the option to opt out of his contract after 2015, which he most assuredly will do if he ever wants to win a SB. I also liked their Orchard and Johnson picks--2 players I liked. Gaines is a steal in the 6th, and Ifo was a high-upside gamble in the 7th. They addressed every need except QB. Bengals and Steelers had mediocre drafts. Bengals drafted for next season by taking two OTs, TE Kroft isn't good at anything, and Paul Dawson is really the only pick I like. Steelers got good value with Dupree and then reached on 2 short nickle corners after we ruined their Maxx Williams pick. Chickillo and Holliman were good picks late. They didn't do a good job of addressing their needs. Our strong draft, coupled with the Bengals and Steelers' weak drafts, could set us up nicely for the future. This comes on the heels of a strong 2014 draft, too. I feel like we improved more than our division rivals with this draft.
  22. Also I'm not crazy about all of this ZaDarius Smith--Pernell McPhee talk. Like when they wanted to minimize the CJ Mosley--Ray Lewis comparisons, I say ease off on the McPhee comparison because those are some big shoes to fill as a rookie. Smith actually reminds me more of Upshaw, since Smith doesn't have great burst off the line. ...a lot of people on this forum compared John Simon to Jarret Johnson...
  23. I'm noticing the trend with how Ravens scouts seem to highly value the EW Shrine Game and Senior Bowl. I know Boyle, Carl Davis, Crockett Gilmore, and Brandon Williams all stood out in their Senior Bowls, and there's probably more than that. Plus DeCosta said they value senior bowl performances during a post-draft presser the other day.
