Just heard this Bill Polian character on ESPN saying that Ngata is a cap casualty because of Flacco's contract and that the Lions won the trade. He couldn't be more wrong and ignorant.
"Flacco's fault" says the guy who claimed he was fired from Indy because he didn't have "an adequate backup to Peyton Manning." More like Manning's injury exposed the terrible draft choices he made.
Ngata is a cap casualty because of his own contract. The cap hit was simply too much to take and he refused to take a pay cut, so we got rid of him.
@paulhs94 we also won that trade considering that it was likely a desperation move by the Lions. Now the Lions have to take on Suh's dead cap and Ngata's colossal contract. Lions should have just franchised Suh and saved their 2 picks. Bad management. Period.
