It's time to put 7 up on Denver like they did us last time. Payback's a... Let's start this season off right and build on it each game. Right now I'm wishing Wednesday was the new Sunday...can't wait!
"There%u2019s not a fracture or anything like that, as far as I know." ... not the best thing to say after waiting weeks to finally do an MRI on Perriman... Let's not make the same mistake twice. It's been a week since Monroe's injury. Hope we don't find out next week that it's something more serious than they first thought.
It's always 2 or so games every yr where as a fan u walk away like, "what the..." Last yr it was a few games that the Ravens probably should've won: either one or both of the Bengals games, the Colts game, and I'd even throw in the Texans game and maybe even the Chargers game. Had we shown up and played like we needed to play, whether on O or on D, we would've had at least 12 wins for sure. It's like the Ravens enjoy the hard way... when homefield was on the line, we lost...but when playoffs were on the line we won
As much as I like Webby as a person, and as much as I hate to say it, his injuries and play lately are hurting this team instead of helping it... The best ability is availability and he's been sidelined(or hasn't started) for nearly half his career... 52 starts out of a possible 96 games in 6 years
Would be extremely disappointed if Waller doesn't make the 53
With Perriman's knee injury, he will be sidelined for the 2nd consecutive preseason game and will likely miss more training camp practices to come. Being that Perriman is a rookie who went out on the first day of training camp with no clear return to practice, it will take time for him to get a feel for the quickness of the game and build chemistry with Flacco. With that said, when will Breshad Perriman make an impact for the Ravens offense?
Hopefully starting Week 1 but realistically probably between Week 5-6. I figure if he starts practicing at least a week before the season begins then it will take him about a month, or 4 games, to start feeling comfortable. He'll start getting more and more reps. And by November-December I think we'll be seeing what he would've looked like had he stayed healthy early...which is seeing him make plays like a true 1st rounder.
I agree... I think there will always be a few plays per game where we go for it for either a PI or long bomb... but Idk if Perriman will be healthy enough to get reps over Aiken, Camp, or even Waller at that time... b/c he'll have a lot of catching up to do, no pun intended...not to mention Brown if he stays healthy and plays to his potential. Perriman's not even running right now and we're 3 weeks away from kickoff... I'm nervous. I'm thinking by next week, he'll be running, by last preseason game he'll be practicing, and by Week 1 he'll be close to 100%... so maybe you're right about the Raiders. Can't wait!
Not sure why my completely different and specific topic was arbitrarily lumped into this thread when one has nothing to do with the other but whatev... I guess it's hogpog, just throw it in with the thread that already has Perriman in the title, they won't be the wiser... probably should rename title, "Everything Perriman" in that case
I'd say in the 2nd game of the season. The Raiders secondary isn't particularly good so that seems like the moment for them to really see what he can do. Though I can see the Ravens at least trying a few long bombs to him during the Broncos game to test their corners, and make the safeties back up.

Not at all liking the news about Perriman's Osgood-Schlatter disease... saying the pain could get "excruciating" and that "if somebody just grazed his knee cap, the pain could level him." Not good...not good at all... Am I the only one like, "W T French Toast!!"
"Campanaro has shown an ability to consistently get open" ... that's all I need to hear
With all due respect, who has the "reputation for being the NFL%u2019s offensive genius"??? Chip Kelly??? After just 2 years in the league and two-10 win seasons??? Hyperbole much... But I agree, Joe's elite
Rub some Tussin on it, Perriman
Too early to tell whether any of these will be issues... TBD for all of the above
That was a sweet move. Showed some toughness and athleticism. Good job. Lt's keep it up! He is still just no. 87 to me right now(no disrespect, just gotta earn your strips on this team) BUT he's starting to earn a nickname.
I know it's early and it's just preseason but Davis did an awesome job! Between him and Jernigan I feel confident with our players in the middle. So excited about this season! An elite QB, one of the best O-lines in the game, a probowl RB with a young hungry backup, a potential HOF rcvr with young talent becoming more and more reliable by the snap, two double-digit sack specialist on both sides with young talented players in the middle, a savy vet middle LB along side one of the best young probowl LBs in the game, and what should be at least a solid secondary, if not better than solid if Smith and Webb can play up to their potential.....if we can stay healthy(knock on wood) we are world-beaters!
To me it's a no brainer. I've always expected Ozzie to get the nod when it's all said and done. Never even thought about the double inductee "problem". He absolutely ought to be recognized for his work as GM and that should be separate from his playing contribution. I guess if you can't go in twice then Ozzie will be the only one in that "elite among the elites" club.
Hopefully we can send him off with a huge Super Bowl victory parade downtown in February and a 1st class ticket to paradise! Let's go, Ravens!
The Ravens are not known for dating their exes. Pollard to me is the epitome of how to "play like a Raven", however, if we made the decision to cut him 2 yrs ago directly after a year in which he contributed greatly which ended with a Super Bowl win, I don't see us signing him 2 years later. There was obviously something behind that decision that had nothing to do with production. He led the team in tackles that season and if fans can remember, the Ravens had signed him to a 3-yr extension several months before we let him go so he and Harbs or he and the FO evidently bumped heads along the way. I remember the same conversation had about bringing McAlister, Reed, and a few others back...and despite the need, the Ravens never looked back to the past. Harbs has filtered out every outspoken player throughout the years who don't completely buy in no matter their production(all except Ray who eventually did buy in and retired on his own merits and Reed who decided to leave)... similar to what Chip Kelly is doing now but w/o the racial epithets. That could be because Harbs seems to relate a lot better with his team and former Ravens players than Chip does.
So on the same day I hear a player on our secondary goes down, I hear the Steelers pick up a potential starter for a 5th rd pick that could turn into a 4th rd. Btw, he's been available for awhile now ...smh... I hate when these players slip thru the cracks...and out of all places he lands, it's Pittsburg...smh... makes me wonder if we did our due diligence or is a 5th(or potential 4th) rd pick that coveted?
You said you'd be suspicious because he is a huge Steelers's fan. Just pointing out, that he was here is all.
No I get it... you're right I should've been more clear... I would originally be suspicious of it unless I found out he was genuinely here to enjoy himself... which it turns out he was... btw, did anyone check to see if his entourage was recording anything lol jk
?? except?? This article and what I said doesn't contradict the other. As I said, if he was genuinely here to enjoy himself and watch practice, as it seems he was since he was invited by his friend Ray, then I'd be interested... which I was b/c I do remember this...specifically the man holding Snoop's umbrella. So yea, no "except"... however I'd think the Steelers more than the Raiders would be more shocked...
So do we not mention Snoop either? The media will tend to mention that certain personalities are present. It's interesting to some, and some more than others. But it does draw attention to the activity.
You're right I get that but is it surprising? I do understand that there are new Ravens fans, new Baltimorians, and plenty of Phelps fans out there but saying Phelps was at the 1st day of training camp is like saying to a New Yorker that Spike Lee was at a Knicks game
Btw, personally I'd say Snoop is a different story if he was at our practice for a couple reasons. 1) It's well-known that he's a HUGE Steelers fan so if he was at our practice, I'd be suspicious more than anything(spygate II lol) and 2) if he was genuinely here to enjoy himself and watch the team, it'd be interesting to me b/c he's not known to be a fan of ours...unlike Phelps
I'm not hating on Phelps or the author of the article, it's just not surprising at all to me that Phelps was there, and shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has followed the team for the past few years...so I personally didn't think he needed to be mentioned... however Phelps IS pretty much an honorary Raven so I guess that's why too lol
Then... why should you care that he was mentioned? Sheesh
What? Why do you care that I care?? Sheesh lmao ...moving on...

This is gonna come off sounding real homerish, but the Ravens are a top-5 team at worst
