  1. Finally got around to watching Carl Lawson, and this kid is insanity. The explosiveness is off the charts, and he's got a mean streak a mile long. He's ahead of Ogbah as a prospect for me, assuming a clean bill of health. He is also my favorite pass rusher based on my (rather cursory) study of this class.
  2. I went to look at some MacKensie Alexander tape. He is impressive, but he isn't as good as his numbers make him seem. He benefits hugely from Clemson's monstrous pass rush, and most throws that end up going his way are off target. Based on the 2015 Ravens, I don't think we have a comparable pass rush to take the heat off. He'll be a good player, but he isn't as sticky as it may seem.
  3. In fairness, Ridley is a bonafide monster. But to me, Hargreaves is a slightly worse Jason Verrett. For comparison, Verrett went 25th overall in 2014. Although that draft was far better than this one in terms of star power.
  4. I'll put this here for posterity: Desmond King is better than Vernon Hargreaves and better than Jalen Ramsey. I have not seen a corner in this class that is better than him on tape. And the kid gets picks. He is going to be the best impactful rookie corner next year a la Marcus Peters (not necessarily the best overall rookie corner a la Ronald Darby).
  5. Thw questions about fit are because Ramsey is a man corner if he plays corner at all, and we tend to use a ton of off coverage. Not deal breaking necessarily, but could cause some leeriness.
  6. If we do this, we might have 4 tight ends on the field at once for most plays. That would be revolutionary. And arguably a better route considering the health of our receivers.
  7. I love his athletic talent, I just wish he had more football awareness overall. He seems to get confused on who has the ball often, and that really keeps him from shining to his utmost ability. Maybe that can be coached away though. And when he is on and feeling it, he is a blast to watch.
  8. I would love Yannick, but I really doubt he will fall to the 3rd round. I think he is more likely to go in the 2nd, and I'd be glad to snatch him up there.
  9. I definitely like Hargreaves more, especially if Webby is going to move to safety.
  10. You make a great point. If the Ravens decide he's a diva, he won't be on our squad, and good riddance. I do have tons of faith in our coaching staff to temper him, but if he's a jerk then definitely not worth the pick. And yeah his susceptibility to double moves is what really weakens him as a corner prospect imo. Even more so than overaggressiveness and a poor backpedal.
  11. Only in the eyes of people who overvalue height in a DT predicated on quickness and speed. Him and Mack were, based on tape alone, far and away the best players of that draft.
  12. I believe that he has top 10 potential as his ceiling. His floor does scare me if he pulls an Elam.
  13. As far as work ethic, the reports remind me of some of the top players in the league right now. Obviously that could be skewed by whoever is writing it, but he's also the first freshman corner to start for FSU since some guy named Deion Sanders. He's had quite a long streak of success.
  14. I don't see him as an off coverage corner for sure. Man cover corner, safety, or linebacker as far as position. With a lot of potential to grow too; his work ethic has already been well-documented.
  15. CB?

Depends on the available players. I think one corner somewhere in the first three rounds.

  17. Agreed. The 2016 Ravens are going to be determined more by the development and health of the players we have. It is unfair and unrealistic to expect rookies to be saviors in my opinion.
  18. I think that the injuries are really what knocked Diggs down. His talent was never in question for me.
  19. CB?

For sure still need a corner, but pass rush remains a bigger deal overall imo.
  20. Time will tell. Admittedly I might be getting swayed by his 2014 tape against Miami. Most dominant performance I've seen from any prospect this year.
  21. Tunsil protected his mom from his stepdad. That makes me like him more if anything.
  22. I don't see it like he doesn't have a position, he just has many he can be useful at. From linebacker to safety to corner. A Swiss Army knife of a stud.
  23. Depends on the pick though. I'd think about it for a 5th, maybe a 4th. Not any higher than that.
  24. I'll definitely look at his tape, I've heard great things.
  25. And totally agree about Alexander. Frankly there is no "perfect" prospect in this draft, like Khalil Mack or Aaron Donald.
