Quincy Wilson is terrible at getting off blocks and his tackling is questionable, but I absolutely love the way he competes in coverage and with the ball in the air. His size is a major plus too; hopefully our defense won't become trash if/when Jimmy Smith misses a snap. I am shocked to see Mike Williams at 15th and Corey Davis go 27th though; both are studs and steals at those spots. Especially Corey Davis.

I think Quincy Wilson has a very legitimate shot to go top 10; he will test well in addition to having great tape.

Mike Williams + AJ Green would be a nightmare.

Essentially the take home message: Fanspeak's Big Board is preposterous. But really until the combine, most available big boards are hot messes.

Team needs: 2 CBs, 2 pass rushers, 2 WRs, 1 gamebreaking RB, 1 C, 1 backup QB This draft is incredibly stacked, but our hope (as usual) should be that as many QBs go early as possible. Deshaun Watson, Deshone Kizer, and Mitch Trubisky could maybe go 1-2-3, as they did in my mock draft using FanSpeak. This was the result: Round 1: Mike Williams, WR Round 2: Tre'Davious White, CB Round 3: Solomon Thomas, EDGE Quincy Wilson, CB Round 4: Ryan Anderson, EDGE The board fell miraculously from the very beginning. However, FanSpeak does have a very questionable board; in what world is Quincy Wilson a third rounder? Also Ryan Anderson boosted his draft stock with his National Championship performance so a 4th rounder may be a pipe dream. However, the power of early quarterback picks is evident in this mock. Mike Williams becomes our number 1 almost out of the gate in the mold of Playoffs Anquan Boldin, Tre'Davious White or Quincy Wilson start at outside corner, Solomon Thomas gets into the rotation and eventually replaces Timmy Jernigan, Ryan Anderson pushes Zadarius Smith, Matt Judon, and Kamalei Correa to be more useful (we are assuming Dumervil is cut for cap reasons). That makes at least 2 immediate starters and all 5 would see playing time barring injuries. The most difficult decision I faced was Ethan Pocic or Solomon Thomas in the third; center might be a larger need but I love Solomon Thomas and think he could be our best D lineman and a Pro Bowler within 3 years. What would you all think if the draft went this way?

A Bosa Spence combination is actually a possibility in this draft. Bringing the 2014 national championship winninh pass rush onto our team? I'm okay with that. But if Jack's knee checks out, we have to take him. Or we WILL regret it. Just like every team that passed on Adrian Peterson because of his collarbone still regrets it to this day.

In fact, I'm going to officially switch out Coleman for Shilique Calhoun. Watched the Iowa game and I am sold. Also, would trade up to 30th for William Jackson, losing the 104th pick (Yannick Ngakoue) to pluck one of my favorite corners in the draft. New look: Round 1, Pick 6: Myles Jack, ILB Trade Round 2, Pick 36 and Round 4, Pick 104 for Round 1, Pick 30: William Jackson III, CB Round 3, Pick 70: Shilique Calhoun, OLB Round 4, Pick 130: Charles Tapper, DE Round 4. Pick 132: Cyrus Jones, CB Round 4, Pick 134: Rashard "Hollywood" Higgins, WR Round 6, Pick 182: Vernon Adams, QB Round 6, Pick 209: Moritz Boehringer, WR This is darned close to a perfect draft in my eyes, despite the lack of O-line help. First 5 picks on defense? You better believe it.

And in the 3rd Round, I like me some Shilique Calhoun, who is a slightly better Ngakoue to me. If Fackrell is there, he is the pick, over Coleman as well. I would be shocked to see him there, his tape is excellent.

If WJIII is avaliable at 28-30, I think we trade up for him. This is super unlikely. Out of the trench guys, I love Chris Jones, extremely explosive despite the fact he falls down a lot. If Alexander is there, I'd take him over Burns, although his lack of even ONE interception in his career is hugely concerning to me.

Absolutely a fair point, and there's a solid chance that the 36th pick goes in another direction. That's probably the most difficult pick to determine in this draft, because who knows who will fall to that slot.

This is heavily based on Reuters 7 round mock on Nfl.com to gauge what range prospects are in, and according to that mock as well as others I've seen online, all of these players would actually be around the draft slot I have them in. I don't know much about Nate Sudfield, but I'd definitely be willing to look into him.

Agreed, but 1. I don't know who else I would rather have at that slot, and 2. I feel huge jealousy when I see what the Steelers are doing. We suck at developing receivers anyway, might as well take a shot on an athletic freak rather than not if we're equally likely to miss.

I completely agree, he's more of an athlete than a football player at this point. However, they said the same thing with Ziggy Ansah and he's been the most productive pass rusher out of that draft. Basically, he's also likely not to be pure BPA at that spot. That's basically a fact. But two major points here: 1. He has legitimate potential, and 2. There's gonna be a big run on corners in this draft from late 1st to mid 2nd round, and I really think our hand will be forced to take a corner earlier than we might have that player graded.
