No.16 pick should be Elite Pass Rusher, Sizzle will be 35 coming off productive 8 sack season, but nobody else because injuries (Dumervil) or lack or elite talent put up equal or better numbers.
Ravens need Barnett,Harris,Williams, etc 1 of these new Von Miller,Sizzle type sack machines. I would say 2 of them and a top shelf Cb

Only good thing is now they will pick in the 15-16 range at 8-8.

Dont be blind great Hc, Billy B in boston if he says were running it, runs the ball. I know Harbaugh isnt involved and a lot of head coaches arent.. but thsts the problem. And it was a prevent defense any type of zone coverage where you give the wrs across the board 10 yard cushions is a prevent defense(Cover 6,cover 3,cover 2 etc) it doesnt matter when you take your foot off the gas its prevent defense.

3) I wasnt saying Pollard specifically can still play its been a couple years now atleast since he last played. I was saying that type of player is still around, enforcer type SS. They made it sound like pollard was a dying breed, obviously not Kam Chancellor is that guy bigger but enforcer who smashes anybody across the middle. Imagine Chancellor on the Ravens Defense..or a younger Pollard...Fear factor from opponents.
As for alpha comment, you obviously dont get it. You have to be a alpha to play nfl football, but majority of players this city and fanbase identify with are the raa raa swagger alpha males you obviously dont get

Im not advocating Harbaugh getting fired, Im just playing Devils advocate. And I do think the seat is hot even if Harbaugh does have couple years left.

1) Who would realistically be better and take the job, McDaniels, Shanahan, You want to automatically fix the offense, hire a offensive guru as your hc, you have the franchise qb in place etc. Probably shouldve done it with Kubiak but let him get away to Denver.

2) Who had more playmakers? Call it even or even in favor of Ravens. Yes Steelers have Big 3 Bs. Ben,Bell,Brown. But Ravens dont have slouches. They have atleasr for 1 more game Smith sr, who wasnt used nearly enough in 2nd half and redzone, Pitta who was solid except a big no catch td, Dixon&West no there not Bell but together they are a top 10 rb duo, should have been used more. Biggest issue was Pees sitting in prevent defense with a 10 point lead, elite qbs can carve up soft zones. You gotta play like you did 1st 3 quarters.

3) This was a rivalry game, players have pride. Regardless of the coach.

What you can definitely lay at Harbs feet is he lets his coordinators run everything because hes originally a ST Coach. Fans and media alike have repeatedly said this about him, a great coach takes control, makes adjustments and when you say your going to run the ball every week, yet your oc continues to draw up 45 pass plays a game, you as head coach veto that junk and call run plays cause its your job eventually on the line.

Secondly
We have seen that Harbs is a Yes Man type coach. He mutes the Raa raa swagger type alpha males or elimates them all together and his influence over the organization since sb proven fans correct by bad record, likely influence input in drafting away from say a Noah Spence or Shane Ray..bonefied Ballers and sack machines who might have a red flag for weed or raa raa swagger.. but are nasty football players and Ravens would be in playoffs right now.
A token tough guy like Sizzle or Smith sr, doesnt prove Harbs excepts alphas.
No more nice guys..draft nasty swagger ballers, like fans identify with...the Rsys,Pollards,Eds, Sizzle in his primes.
And I hate the excuse pollard cant play in todays nfl..Kam Chancellor is the same guy bigger but a enforcer type SS all he does is blow people up, so pollard could play, More proof Harbs didnt want nasty tough guys

Von Miller, JJ Watt, Khalil Mack, Justin Houston, The guys who the Ravens passes over last year.. they dont have 15 sacks but they have that talent. Noah Spence and local product in the 3rd round Terp Yannik Ngkwe for jags. Both have like 8-10 sacks. So dont say these dpoy type sack machines are hard to find.
Stop picking nice guys like correa, start picking ballers like Noah Spence regardless if he has a weed issue.

@DrewP I follow all the mocks closely just for Ravens future player purposes, and majority of them have Charlton in 2nd round.
As for King hes pretty strong 1st rounder so.. Ravens would have to take a cb 1st rnd to take him. But at 16 they could probably get Adoree Jackson or Tabor a better CB prospect.

Pass rush is most important though... gotta get 2 impact 3down (15 sack a yr)dpoy type edge rushers to replace Dumervil and sizzle when he retires.

Any time you miss the playoffs you under achieve if your the Ravens organization, any time you dont make any kind of playoff run its a bad season.
Last year was a fluke because 20plus injuries, this year was 2 fold season long lack of commitment to running the football, which eventually would catch up to this team and Jimmy Smith being injured in the biggesr games.(Nyg,Steelers,Cowboys,Pats) all probably very different outcomes if Jimmy could stay healtier throughout his career.
Finally Steve B put the hammer down on demanding pass rush last year, yet they passed over local stud Yannik Nkaqwe, Noah Spence and many others for bums and nice guys like Correa and Koufusis.
We are done with nice guys. How many times does Mike Preston have to say it, fans, hosts on 1057 the fan, we need the edgy, nasty players back.

Steve B better put his foot down at State of the Ravens address. Ravens fans patience are thin, his has to be. No playoffs, no teams identity, fan enthusiasm leaving. He has got to see whats going on with this organization, and lack of Smashmouth football, and lack of Raa Raa Swagger filled brash young centerpiece defensive players fans identify with (Ray,Sizzle,Ngata,Ed of the next gen) has fans feeling uninterested in this team after back to back no playoff years.

Critics will say Cj Mosley centerpiece, B.Williams. Grant Mosley is a very good pro bowl caliber Ilbr if like Ray had or luke Kuechly has, he gets those big Ngata,Williams Star Lutylelei NT/Dt eating up Og/Ocs so he can run free and get 4 ints a year and play great in space. But likely Ravens will lose Brandon Williams a franchise defensive player, and must draft another.


All because Flacco is playing like a average Qb, and you cant be average for 20million.

Bottomline is...Harbaugh should lose all power now. Hes a good coach but hes not the white knight he thought he was. And year by year fans are proven right, he won on the backs of HOFrs Lewis,Reed, Sizzle, and very good borderline hofrs like Ngata etc, with a group of alpha males like Boldin,Pollard etc who ran the asylum. Not a yes men type cheer leader coach, who picks his besties for OC jobs who fail miserably.

Now Ozzie needs to go get those edgy, nasty alpha males.. Sizzle,Ray Lewis, Ngata esque players who may have never been picked if Harbaugh was originally coach. Well now he doesnt get a choice, cause correas and Koufusis bums from 2nd rate schools with nice guy attached to their name dont cut it.

1 thing that bothered me a lot bout this game and the nfl in general, not trying to be "Mr Conspiracy" but it puts doubt in your mind about integrity of the games not being fixed.
1) how in the world is Sizzle on the bench for final drive of the game? Or he was atleast until they got down into the redzone. Dont tell me he needed a breather, not like that excuse doesnt work when the games on the line.
2) Steve Smith sr? He was a ghost in the 2nd half especially in the redzone when he dominated 1st half. Thats fishy.

Those things make my antennas perk up and sound the alarms

And I believe 2 more years locked into Flacco contract if Im not mistaken.
He aint getting another extension without another AFC title run/ SB run..
That 20mil contract and average performance has cost Ravens the ability to keep gamechangers in other areas Defense, Oline. (KO, multiple raven defenders over years Mcphee, probably B.Williams etc)
If your not going to be Aaron Rodgers and throw 35 tds a year..

Then its better to have a Loaded up defense and pay your Qb nothing, draft 1 every 5 years until you hit on Rodgers or Marino type

Definitely need to fix some holes in defense. Run defense was gr8 turned avg partially cause a pass heavy offense. Partially because they fell off.
Secondary better with guys like Tavon young,Powers(F/A) but witu often injured shutdown CB Jimmy Smith Ravens must address the position early in the draft
Along with the lack of 1on1 pass rush, Sizzle at 34 shouldnt be ssck leader.
Must address this in 1st round... with new franchise edge rusher

I have never seen a defense go from looking so good to looking to bad in just a few weeks.
They havent had a dominant pass rush all year long, when 34 yr old sizzle is your leading saxk artist you have issues. Run defense was on lock then it fell apart personally think its personnel choices, but its still unacceptable.
Next year spend the 1st round pick on a Von Miller type Edge Rusher, whether it be Harris of Mizzou, Devonte Fields Louisville Smoot Illinois

No.1 bonefied Edge Rusher
Shutdown Cb, since Jimmy is always injured
OG/T, losing Wagner likely kicking lewis outside.
DT/NT, Replace Brandon Williams is money gets to big

back to back non playoff years and all of a sudden mediocrity is becoming the norm under Harbaugh. Marty will be gone, Steve B has to get some1 more committed to the run game a playaction deep passing game, Joes strength.

Gotta fix the Defense. A defense that was highly ranked all year and Run defense collapsed down the stretch persennel or scheme, fix it. And Cut Dumervil, no legit 1 on 1 edge rushers except sizzle and he shouldnt be leading team in sacks at 34.
1st round next year draft a Von Miller type beast edge rusher.
