  1. I agree with you that Hewitt should be getting the same treatment as Pees.  I was left speechless in the second half of this game on how drastic Pees changed the gameplan.  I understand losing Webb, Dumervil and Davis hurts significantly, but we played a very good first half of football and the second half the whole defense looked horrendous.  I hope Harbaugh realizes what is happening and takes action this week, we have way to much talent on defense for this to be happening

I don't think John will push fire Pees until the offseason, if even then.  I honestly don't feel panic mode has hit John yet! It has never had a losing season, never been embarrassed like this in the NFL.  I think he will wake up, but not until the year is over and the season has been a complete embarrassment.  I could be wrong, but its just my gut feeling.  John isn't a very emotional guy, and he is always glass half full kinda guy.  I don't think he remotely blames Pees at this point, but the team as a whole.  I think it will come down to Ozzy releasing Pees in the offseason.

  2. Start with Chris Hewitt. Then deal with Pees. I honestly can't believe how little Hewitt is being mentioned.

Start with Pees, get a good defensive coach then he will hire good staff under him accordingly.  It all tops at the top, the defense has never been good since Pees took over.

  3. Browns loss hurt... not because it was the Browns, just because it basically deletes our season.  I hope we can move forward and pick up a win against the 49ers, hope the defense can show it can stop those big slash plays in the clutch on 3rd down.  I want to see some kind of life out of our secondary, very much so from the 2 safeties.  I feel 49ers are better team than the Browns, we have our work cut out for us.

    Good luck!

  4. Time to hit the panic button folks...  Now, someone is to blame and I am calling out Dean Pees.  I hate to single out a single person, but I think he is to blame for us losing these close games.  The defense honestly can't give up 30 points and expect to win unless you have the best offense in the NFL, which we don't, so I blame the man in charge of the defense.

  5. As for the player ratings?  They mean very little if you play franchise mode.  8-10 years in franchise mode count on it... every player will have a rating of 90+ and when you sign free agents.  You will be signing safeties with ability like Ed Reed in his prime for 1 mil per year because no one is worth giving a contract to because all players have over the top ratings, which is a pointless game killer.

  6. The problem with madden it has no real personality, the players have no personality, and the stats and abilities like impact blocking, footwork, footwork strength don't mean anything. EA needs to get more alike to other sports games such as MLB The Show.  The Show is the only sports game I find that delivers.  Madden has basically been the same game since early 2000's. EA seems to enjoy this fact because they don't change much at all with each release.

Madden does make changes but if you was to play Madden 12 and then played current Madden you wouldn't be able to tell any strong difference.  This is the problem with Madden.  I have bought every Madden since 2010.  I am now unsure rather I will buy this years... just not enough improvement, I have been basically buying new Maddens for the new rosters.

Madden needs to launch a game every 3 years, between those 3 years do DLC.  New rosters, new uniform packs, new features for creation mode... such as add tattoo, hair, bread, revamped create a character.  Add a fun career mode.  Then once 3-4 are up release a new and completely improved game, then again BUILD on that platform adding even more content with cost effective DLC.

This method would improve our football experience with the game greatly and force EA to actually do work on Madden.

  7. I expect the next 2-4 years with another Cam Cameron.  The Ravens hit with Jim Caldwell and Gary Kubiak... I just feel a miss coming on this time.  Still the pass attack can't get get much worse than it was this past season.  We never came through in the clutch in big games.  I also don't see the run game remaining the same and I don't think Justin Forset has it in himself for another 1,000+ rushing yard season.  He will get a nice contract then get hurt or just not produce like he did this past season.

Bottle half empty is how I am looking at this offseason. I still have some hope as a fan things will get done right and be successful in 15/16 campaign.

  8. Elite? Does Smith have to be "elite". Was Mason elite? No. But he was reliable and a mentor for our younger receivers. I have no issues with Steve becoming a possession receiver the offense can count on. No issues at all.

The Ravens would have never won a championship with Mason/Flacco.  Mason was never really that great he was just all the Ravens had at the time.  Anyways I have been a fan long enough to remember when the Ravens had losing seasons like it was yesterday.  Steve Smith isn't the answer and Ozzie makes mistake signings from time to time.  I think Steve Smith is one of those mistake signings.  I doubt Steve Smith goes over 500 yards receiving this season.

  9. I just hope most of you guys are right. I am not as sold on this signing. He will be 38 at the end of his 3 year contract. I just don't know many 35 year old WR that are still elite in the NFL. 35 at WR is considered a age for retirement. I hope Smith works out.

  10. Born in western Maryland, currently in hell I mean Pittsburgh! Actually it is really not that bad until football season kicks in.

I am from Morgantown, WV. Its hardcore Steelers country, you see Steelers bumper stickers, flags, merchandise etc. everywhere. I had someone turn me down for a job because they found out I was a Ravens fan. When I wear Ravens gear some people give me the stare down.

Still, I have converted 2 people from my area, they're now Ravens followers. lol I also met a couple of locals from my community that are Ravens fans. Now I don't feel so singled out! :P I am going to get me a big Ravens fan flag to hang from my porch. lol that should ignite the locals.
