  1. Nah 2011 collective agreement bargain has changed this completely... dead money can be evaded, the eagles showed this just few years ago with their trading craze. The Eagles walked out like kings unloading dead cap on Murray and Maxwell.
  2. I see so many people its majority saying our Oline is so terrible needs new faces... man oh man this bothers me how can Ravens have to many misinformed fans what are they basing their information on? I know the Ravens Oline isn't the best in the league but its not area of the team that is high on the list of signing bigger names. I honestly think this Oline is where it needs to be like anything it could use some improving but the Oline wasn't the reason for our season.
  3. Ravens can't trade Joe Flacco no one wants him because he is a risk after his seasons since the superbowl no one knows who they're truly getting which puts GM's at odds with him including our own. The Ravens fans are dumbfounded as well going into the 2017 season of what we are going to see at QB. Dead cap can be traded in the NFL now days but someone still has to flip the bill and I just don't see any team out there stupid enough to accept such a burdening contract. I don't expect big things or wonderment from Joe Flacco in 2017, I expect 2016 Joe Flacco too also be 2017 Joe Flacco. Look he got paid, he has kids, he has nice home, nice wife, loving family, strong supporting cast at home. In 2017 unless contract changes 24.5 will be dropped into his bank account along with commercials or whatever else he does on the side. I think Joe Flacco like most men would at his point in life feel... well, they have nothing left to prove to anyone including themselves. You know you're never going to be the best nor were you ever the best but they have achieved more than anyone ever thought they would in life (football) now its time to relax and reap the many favors of success. I don't think Joe Flacco cares anymore, and if he got cut tomorrow he would still have enough money to last him his entire life. I am just realist fan and I don't get heart broken as often when we lose been watching this team so long I understand ups and downs. I also understand this team is surely in rebuild mode... I don't expect a successful season next year just a 8-8 maybe 7-9 maybe 9-7 kind of year AS we are right now. If this team can be lucky enough and have cap space enough to land a few good players in free agency and have a nice draft I may be more hopeful. But to end on the main point, Joe Flacco appreciation? I think his payday is more than enough appreciation, more than enough being key. If he comes out next year and falls flat again, then I will probably be ready for a new QB on the roster. At the end of the day, any haters must face the facts rather you love or hate Joe Flacco his contract state he will be apart of the Ravens for quite awhile longer, rain or shine.
  4. Free agency and the draft... the draft I am excited for it. I am hopeful we a game changing playmaker. I am honestly not excited for next season I will watch all 16 games like I have done now for 10 years but I will be more excited if Ravens get new faces that will be day 1 starters.
  5. Another disappointing news to top off a disappointing season. I really liked Zack was just thinking the other day Zack and CJ gonna be beasts together next year... ugh but I wish him the best after football help Ravens can help him with medical bills.
  6. I have never been a Joe Flacco supporter and I never will be... let me say I was here watching his games all 16 when he was a rookie and I didn't like him as a player in that era either. Joe Flacco has never took any steps forward since his rookie season, he has never progressed... honestly after this season it seems like he has regressed more than anything. Nothing would bring my heart more joy and my year more pleasure to see him traded along with his dead cap space. HOWEVER, I know he isn't going to be traded for many reasons. So that said, I hope beyond hope the Ravens can get the running game going, find a WR in the draft that can catch passes thrown behind his back, over his head, or in thick traffic. You know that feeling you have when there's light at the other end of the tunnel? I see no light with Joe Flacco... I have completely lost faith in him, I did have a little faith after that superbowl run but that's dead and gone. The Ravens need their own Bell behind Flacco and I don't see that on this roster either. I don't blame the Oline because they were actually decent one of the betters in NFL. I play OC, I blame Flacco for the offensive struggles and I don't see it clearing up unless the Ravens have one outstanding offseason. My hope remains in the defense and hoping they continue to improve and carry the team.
  7. I am sure gonna get thumbs down for this but its how I feel. Cut Watson, Cut K Lewis, Cut Arrington(obvious reasons), Cut Webb it will free up much needed money and he isn't worth the contract. Also Cut Dumervil 2017 is his last contract year will free up quite a bit of extra money. We drafted Matt Judon and honestly when he got to play he stepped up to the plate I thought he looked better as pure pass rusher than Suggs or Dumervil. Pitta on the other hand will cost 6.6 mil dead cap over next couple of seasons cutting him may not be idea(Plus I thought Pitta played well). Honestly I believe strongly all of these players will be cut for sure around free agency kick off. Correct me if I am wrong here but with these out 15+ million in cap space? This not counting Smith retiring, the Ravens will have enough space to go out and sign some solid talent. I just hope Joe Flacco will consider another restructure... I mean come on man help the team out, atleast look at 15-16 mil per season. If Joe Flacco would do that the Ravens will be able to have a very good offseason on top of the other hopeful possibilities.
  8. Rasul Douglas seinor WVU leads NCAA football right now in INT's Rasul has a good personality, very down to earth. Rasul is a CB which we need so badly and he is a playmaker which again we need badly. And he is 6'2? Big physical style CB which can go up against any WR.
  9. I am not sold but I think its the only meaningful fit for Webb. Webb I think still has football IQ and great hands, he will get some INTs. I won't count him out until I see what he does this year. A lot of people are down on Webb but I remember his good years and the promise of being being a top 5 CB in the NFL... he got injured lost speed which hurt his CB stock but at safety he might surprise a lot of people.
  10. Honestly I wanted Stanley all along if Ramsey wasn't there. I like Stanley's footwork and he is a bull in the run game. I also like his character the Ravens got some guys with superb character this year. Honestly, I think Stanley will probably be a Ravens for next decade so we should probably let thoughts of another player go and embrace Stanley 100%.
  11. I wanted him also and I wanted Jack, Jags stole both of them! Anyways, not sad over it I like the guys the Ravens drafted. I think the Ravens had a good draft this year would have wished for another good CB but eh I am not gonna make a fuss.
  12. Matt is super humble guy and big time team first player. I hope he pans out not many people are as deserving as Matt, really good guy. I am pulling for him 100%!
  13. So pumped to watch him play this coming season.
  14. Yes
  15. Mean while Tom Brady makes 9 million in 2016 and possible he goes to another superbowl. Joe Flacco needs to accept ballpark 15mil so Ravens can get talent.
