  1. Prediction: Jernigan was traded up to pick up higher third round pick. This trade gives us enough points to move up further.

Pick 74 is worth 220 and Pick 78 is worth 200.

    Pick 16 is worth 1000.

    Pick 8 is worth 1400.

The Ravens trade picks 16, 74, and 78 for the 8th overall pick and select a WR. This trade is with the only plausible team in the top 15, the Carolina Panthers; just ahead of the bengals.

Now you all can laugh and call me stupid because it's never been our philosophy..  but I promise you the second that it happens, I'm coming straight back here.

EDIT: just saw ravensnj posted about 8 above too. I definitely think the move up is a STRONG possibility

  2. People: While the Ravens usually go BPA, there is precedent set for us not. In 2008, Biscotti overruled ozzie to trade the entire draft for Matt Ryan.. Didn't happen only because the Rams baulked..

In a league that is much different than it was 15 years ago, what do you all think generates the most revenue? Not defense, it's OFFENSE.

Looking at this from an owners perspective, after missing the playoffs for two consecutive years, I want offensive fire-power because that is what is going to generate more revenue for me and give me the best chance to win. Aren't you guys sick of playing in 2 or 3 point win/loss games????

I absolutely would not be surprised if we see something happen in this draft that we haven't seen before/very often. With the way this FA has shaken out, I definitely feel it coming on.

Further, yes I understand Correa and judo are both OLBs but don't be surprised if they try to move them inside.

Bottom line: we need offensive help far more than we need a pass rusher right now.. lol mike wallace should be our slot receiver at ABSOLUTE best with perriman at the 2 spot..

  3. Just want to bring this up.. We just put A LOT of focus into our defense. Anyone who thinks we're going D in the first round, let me just tell you: you're DEAD wrong. There is a reason Ozzie hasn't even glanced at any of these FA WRs, and thats because he has BIG draft plans...

After signing Carr I am now 100% certain that RD 1 will be offense and the remainder of the draft will be HEAVY on offensive picks..

We need a WR, OT, and C more than ANYTHING else right now. The only way I'd entertain a defensive player early if something falls to us we simply cannot say no to. Judon and Correa will fill in nicely for Orr. Especially with a DEEEEP CB class, we need offense now more than ever.

    RD 1 - WR

    RD 2 - C/MAYBE DE... MAYBE

    RD 3 - OT

    RD 3 - RB

    RD 4 - CB

    RD 5 - LB

    RD 6 - S

Mike Williams just had a great pro day for Clemson. He ran in the mid 4.5s, probably solidifying himself as the #1 wr in the draft.

And as for possession wr, we don't need a "possession Reciever; we are looking for a chain mover. Ross can do that!

Then we have M. Williams, Boyle, Crockett, and Waller whom can be possession dudes. I even like rotating Waller in at WR for a "possession WR."

Imagine drafting Ross and having him be our kick returner, while Campanaro is our punt returner and WR in dime situations.

dude ross will not be on the ravens.. we need POSSESSION not more speed

Huh? So when are you drafting both Ross and M. Williams exactly?

So you don't think we should get a pass rusher or CB early? That would be a huge mistake IMO.

Absolutely not... this CB class is incredibally deep. I think we can get a STUD CB in the third round. We need to invest in our offense.. I don't feel comfortable going into the season with perriman and Wallace as 1 and 2..

Also one thing no one mentions: right now we have Terrance west and Danny woodhead as the one and two on our carousel of running backs.. that's another position I would t mind going after a true #1 in Rd one if we don't go after a receiver

either way with that being said my draft crush this year is absolutely Mike Williams -- going to be awesome

250 lb receiver?? That's called a TE  we have 20 of them already.

Breshad is 6'2" and over 200lbs. He's thin in the legs but big upper body.

Pryor is like 6'4" 215. Big dude.

Not sold on Williams. Not a good route runner and is slower. Treadwells skill set hasn't projected to the NFL and I see Williams as somewhat similar. Prob better overall but he's not the slam dunk everyone makes him out to be. I like Davis much better.

I agree OL should be a priority and CB depth in the 2nd/3rd. But I'd much rather grab Barnett in the first if he's there. Prob would take Foster over a WR too. Tim Williams and maybe Charles Harris. Those would be a close call.

And if BWill is gonna cost us $9-10m idk. Love him and at $8m/yr or so I'd be happy with it. But don't wanna break the bank for a NT who only plays 60% of our D snaps.

Especially when Pierce, albeit in limited snaps, looked like a monster run stopper but with much better penetration as opposed to just eating blocks (though he does that too) and far better pass rush.

Calvin Johnson was 6'5" 240lbs.. obviously I don't want another TE and obviously asking for Calvin Johnson is asking for a lot lol - what I was elluding too is that unless we get at least a BIG body possession receiver, (and I'll prob get negged for this) our offense just won't be good next year.

I personally was was hoping for a Bmarsh/Alshon and Dalvin in RD.1. Woodhead is ALRIGHT - should be a good 3rd down back. Idc what anyone says come back from ACL tears is hard and can fundamentally change you, no matter how much you have healed - ask Webb. Especially with KDs sus, We need a legit #1 RB AND a legit #1 receiver.

Pryor Is an interesting candidate. If I he had maybe another year of experience and good stats to back him up I'd be much more on-board. But idk we have all seen players have 1 great year and then disappear. Idk.

Mike Williams is definitely deserving of his title. He might be slower but THATS OKAY! We have enough speed. Why we need is a bigger body player that has good HANDS to snag catches over the middle. The last thing we need right now is a speed demon.

Honestly, I'll be pretty mad if we go defense in Round 1 OR Round 2. In a year where the CB class is incredibally deep, we can get a SOLID CB in RD 3. We will have a VASTLY improved secondary next year in Smith-Jefferson-Weddle-Draft Pick..

IMO WE GOTTTTTA work on our offense. I'm so sick of seeing teams put up 40 points when we can barely score 17 and win/lose games by 5 or less.

With that being said, after addressing RB/WR - we should absolutely address CB/LB/DE - Orr's leaving provides a hole and this very well could be Suggs' last year.

  7. y'all are crazy.. I don't want any of these free agent WRs left.. now that BMARSH and Alshon are gone, none of these people would be good enough for us to be worth the cash.. and I ABSOLUTELY don't want old man boldin in here..

We need to focus on bringing back Brandon Williams, make sure we do all we can to strengthen the OL.. and then TAKE MIKE WILLIAMS. if that requires moving up a few picks who cares.. do it..

also pick up a corner in the second or third round (deeeeeeep CB class) and get as a good a RT as possible after Mike in the draft

Let webb walk, let pitta walk and let Kyle Arrington walk..

I am SICK of small body receivers. I want a 6'3" 200-250lb+ WR with HANNNNNDS.. are you going to send breshad over the middle against james Harrison or hightower lol he will shatter..

Imagine if we had a megatron WR for Joe... If bisciotti is willing to trade an entire draft for matt ryan, he absolutely would be willing to trade up a few picks to snag mike
