  1. Secondary I think we should almost wipe clean.. Keep Will Hill and Elam to give him one last shot since this was gonna be his year before he got injured for the season. The rest we need to to look at cuz none of them are worth anything on the field right now Jimmy Smith is not good Webby his body just let him down so much that he isnt the same player, he has the heart of an athlete in an old mans body.

I dont think you guys realize that if we keep doing that were not going to get anywhere... Remember back when our secondary was good... We had conitnuity we have this secondary for at least two more years... Stew like kendrick came on late in the year and no one wanted to give him credit they just focused on the play early in the season...

Aiken is playing well, but I think this his progress needs to be kept in perspective. We needed this Kamar Aiken back when Steve Smith was the only reliable receiver on the team. After you're real #1 goes down, and your #1 draft pick never sees the field, Aiken should be viewed as a productive #3. That's what he'd be on a team with reliable receivers.

and the thing with Joe is he only really looks at one read then checks it down... Hes already got in mind what he is going to do before he snaps the ball... He's got as on a slant or then he can look at Crockett then he would check it down... Its kinda like a one read offense without him escaping the pocket every 5 plays that's why we never saw kamar.

Harbaugh should have benched himself after that fake punt. One score game, 9 yards to go, deep in our own territory, it fails, we lose the ball, and they score easily. What's the difference between him and Allen, besides the fact Harbaugh consciously decided to do something stupid as opposed to simply making a mistake?

I get the feeling he is a big madden player

  2. To you and the other 10,.. I beg to differ, the Browns have NOT sucked forever! They beat our Baltimore Colts in 1964,... They were powerhouses with Jim Brown LeRoy Kelly, Ozzie Newsome and more!

Drop the kool Aid and get it straight! lol

Every team has been good at one point I'm lying when I'm saying that... But how far ago was that? Did they ever win anything besides with Jim brown.... As I remember they always choked or had bad misfortune or just plain sucked

"All in all, for a team playing with it's 4th string players, the Ravens looked good today. Shows the coaching is sound. When the 1st string comes back next year they ought to be a force to be reckoned with."

Not really playing with a lot of 4th strings on the defense. Still the defense is the most disappointing part of this team.

Not necessarily when dean pees mans up and puts some confidence in playing cover 2 and cover 1 we excel. But dean pees gunna dean pees

Im glad we lost this game. were not playing for nothing, its already the worse season in franchise history. All were playing for is draft position. Lets loose out and get a top 5 draft pick. Which wont be hard, judging by this team of soft players ozzies put together

What type of fan is this?

Thank God this season is over :)

oh but wait until next week when Pittsburgh offense comes to town.. There pretty good...

  4. “There are probably high odds in one direction,” Harbaugh joked.  Not one to typically volunteer injury information, Harbaugh played his cards close to the vest and didn’t give any hints about who will get the start.  “I’m probably not going to name a quarterback today,” he said. “That’s probably all I have to say on the matter.”

^ Sooo, as many in here constantly said of him that..."Tyrod is not the answer (as our backup QB)"...then I'd like to know who the hell is?  He's up in Buffalo ballin'....about to set franchise records for the franchise once led by Jim Kelly!  And to think....this is what we let him go for?  What a damn shame!  Smh!

Ok, sorry!  Just had to get that off my chest!  Carry on! Lol!

we could have thrown 10 mil at tyrod this offseason and he might have still went to buffalo... Joe never got hurt... I mean I think we all know that he's a competitor and wants a chance to start and shine like he is now

  5. I didn't say they would make the roster. They will be back in camp next season where they'll compete.  If Mathews shows he be consistent there's no reason to believe Ozzie pinch a penny and hold on to him in some fashion. This is even more likely if Waller doesn't pan out in camp. We already know Mathews can play on a big stage and in clutch situations. That's a huge plus.

yea I would like if either of those two started on the PS earlier I think on another topic I posted I doubt they would be on our 53 week 1 but after this season I would not be surprised if one of those guys are our #1 reciever I'm truly prepared for anything lol

  6. Bleeding purple over hear, but wondering what's the use? When we develop a starter, we let him go,... then go scoop up "discards" from other teams and field a mediocre team! Now, we're hearing K.O. may go,... meanwhile, how much is "Average Joe" bringing in 2016? We are steadily becoming the Baltimore "Browns"! This fan needs a transfusion of confidence!

browns have sucked forever we have sucked for one year

  7. lol you want him to be Boldin so bad. It's not going to happen. He's a mediocre WR who is being force fed the ball. That's all there is to it.

and your someone from the internet who has never played football at a high level before arguing over someone who doesn't even know you exist... I don't want him to be bold in if you actually have been reading my posts I say he is not boldin and will have to work hard to have a name like his... He's not mediocre when PFF has him as a top 25 reciever in the league... That's A OK in my book... And if he's being force fed the ball then first off why did JB catch like 7 balls the other day and still got 5 for 50... Do you watch games or do you look at stats and hate on people that are making checks?

  8. fair enough.

he has potential and certainly is a depth guy, but its going to take a miracle to having him reach boldin level.

aiken does have the advantage that flacco has grown a lot as a QB though.

id say if we had this flacco from 2010 , then boldin would most likely have more impressive stats then the ones he had now.

And he doesn't have that boldin name or credentials but from eye test he's not that far off if at all talent wise from Q... His short and under mediate routes can matchup with most corners in the league and has decisive intermediate in and out routes... And he's underrated on the 9 route he goes up against a corner that is not top notch he can go up and make a play... His yac examples against the browns on Monday night in new england last year during the playoffs in Miami last year in the game where he broke out... He's better than what we ravens fans give him credit for

  9. They should have taken a DB last year. Why the hell they took a wide receiver who was not even a worthy wide receiver still mystifies me. The drafting has been horrible. The defense is comprised of people who can't rush the passer, can't cover, don't make plays, and have no leadership. Look at the Ravens drafts over the last 4 or 5 years then tell me how many of those guys were really worth the high draft pick the Ravens used to pick them. Kindle? Elam? Cody? Jah Reid? Perriman? All wasted picks. You can't blow that many and stay competetive.

Its WAAYYYY to early to start saying perriman was a wasted pick... that being said we got jimmy KO BWill CJ Maxx looks like a good tight end crockett was a third rounder... jernigan if he is consistent can be tremendous... im still willing elam another year... torrey... not to mention the udfas and late round picks we have hit on

    3

  10. funny cause he actually played in 2 games in 2011 and 1 in 2012.....

so he has been `` playing`` since 2011.

Cant really say you have been watching football longer then 2 years when you put aiken in the same sentence as boldin lol.

Compare there first 5 years in the league and you might get a clue what the difference is between the 2....

PS: you dont really have to quote the same thing 2 times lel

and I won't either .. Boldin has more savvy for the game and has made bigger plays for us in bigger games... But if you put kamar Aiken right now in boldins shoes I don't see why he couldn't produce at boldins level that's what I'm trying to say... I personally believe he is a slot or a 6th man in basketball terms the reciever who is first up when Steve or breshad need a breather... Because all I see is solid play... Sure he has dropped some balls who hasn't?

Listen, I have respect for boldin... but im not underappreciating what kamar has done for us... just read the quote... im not trying to start some big argument/fight... i respect you as a poster... ive been on here since 2013 so clearly i have been a fan since that year... been a fan since 06... he was a part timer on special teams all up until last year... you can see from the post above what i think of kamar and my expectations of him... hes no Q but i believe he has the talent he does

  11. Kamar is a 5 year pro....

guess you started watching football 2 years ago lol

Because he started in 2011 with the bills and then went to the pats and finished the 2013 year on our practice squad... hence i said he has been 'playing' in the league... ive been watching football for more than 2 years trust me dude

anything else you want to try me on?

  12. Can I just mention that while not being a big boldin fan, I am in no way putting aiken anywhere near boldin

and I won't either .. Boldin has more savvy for the game and has made bigger plays for us in bigger games... But if you put kamar Aiken right now in boldins shoes I don't see why he couldn't produce at boldins level that's what I'm trying to say... 13. Clutch catches especially in our Super Bowl run. Was the number one WR in the best corps we've ever had. Was tough as nails. Leader of the offense. Good route runner. Reliable hands. Good RAC ability. Need I go on?

during 4 games against sub par competition... I remember this forum was not too fond of him before the playoff run... And our offense ran through ray rice ... Boldin if anything was a tremendous blocker... Which kamar is an adequate enough blocker... Boldin dropped balls while we were here and so has kamar... Boldin fumbled balls so has kamar... Boldin made clutch plays kamar has made clutch plays in Pittsburgh earlier this year in Miami last year and last game before the end of the half when we were still fighting that game and he went up and snagged the ball away from the db back to back. If I can quote Steve smith here 'How about you suit up and line up press coverage against kamar, see how that works out for you.'

  14. Sorry to say, but Boldin dropped his fair share of balls here. I'm not sure I think the comparison of Aiken to Boldin is necessarily appropriate, but this comment bothers me because Boldin dropped his fair share. He had a critical drop against (I believe) Pittsburgh in the playoffs that could've won us the game. I just don't like how Boldin is practically given god-status around here.

If your thinking about that divisional game i believe that was housh ... Im still upset about that one... Butits like the only way you guys will be satisfied with him is if hes calvin and doesnt drop or fumble one ball for us at all... News flash recievers arent perfect... Ive seen sss drop like 3 or 4 ball against cinncinati in last years season opener and then caught what was then a game winning ball... Ive seen steve smith senior catch a ball and blatantly fumble against indy... If you slap a credible name on the back of his jersey right now you guys would have no problem with him

Aiken has been force fed the football since SSS went down. That's why his numbers have been inflated. He would've been on our practice squad in 2012 and I would only like him back next season as the number four at best.

This post just absolutely makes 0 sense and it shows your hate for the man... First of all 2012 was almost 4 years ago... Time goes by player get older/regress/improve... Second of all if you get open and your catching ball and your doing it consistently what are you supposed to do tell the quarterback 'hey don't throw me the ball'... I mean wasn't sss being force fed the ball I didn't hear you complaining then...

  15. Pretty good 3rd WR. Campanero>Kamar when healthy though.

both agree and disagree two completely different players and different skill sets

I still don't think you all are giving him enough credit. Your probably looking at your #2 reciever for the foreseeable future. Aiken/Perriman are to be our Boldon/Smith

PFF has kamar rated right now as like an 85...

This is laughable. Aiken is nowhere near Boldin's level. He can come back as the number four next season but that's it.

I mean what did boldin do that kamar hasn't?

  16. LOL. maybe the people that run the twitter account should read some of the things fans have said since the loss to the Seahawks. In the last 72 hours fans have begged to be flexed out of Prime Time and defended an empty stadium.

I don't think I've as ashamed to be a Ravens fan as I have been the last couple of days.

I agree with fellow posters like RMC and Crusader et al. It's all just random feel-good bafoonery in our heads.

Ravens fans have proven to be no more or less loyal than any run-of-the-mill fan base in any sport.

    Just sad.

And its sad to embarrass the loyal fans that would have stuck it out if they had a chance to go to the games

  17. what they should if fire the whole secondary and start over including the def coach and hire ray lewis as a def coordinator.

Thats a pretty good dream you got there

Can't wait to see what coaching roster moves are going to be made on Jan 4th or shortly afterwards.

Nothing would surprise me after 2013 they promoted juan costillo... who knows they might fire jerry and harbs might step down for pees. lol dont take me serious

Smith didn't restructure. He was extended 4 year $41mill/21gntd.  Ozzie was outflanked by Drew Rosehaus who threatened with open market being that Smith was in a contract year and corner were expected to go at a premium. .  Smith has 1 season of decent play. His first two  teetered between getting burned and getting hurt. His fourth season he was hurt and before he was even cleared to practice Ozzie inked him without knowing what player would show this year. He's back to playing as he did when he arrived but it doesn't matter.  Nobody is eating his contract and he's too detrimental to the cap to cut.  He'll play lights out in 2016 or he'll be cut in late 2017 when his dead money is under $3mill.

*2 1/2 good years... some more upset fans complaining that jimmy is playing injured just saying he sucks

Why is anyone worried about winning . We are now in 2016 training camp to see who we keep on the cheap so that we don't have to go into free agency searching  or burn draft picks .

Givens and Mathews are sure to be back and they are testing Tray Walker next week to see if they have a candidate to facilitate moving Webb to safety.

Givens or matthews have about a 10 % shot at the roster lets keep it real... givens has done his job but nothing to waste a space on... we have 3-4 capable tight ends and 4 capable running backs and a fullback... that means there might only be 5 receivers next year think Perriman kamar a draft choice/free agency/cap casualty player Campanaro and kaelin clay for our return man

  18. I guess us fans are being little tough on him, but I guess that is what happens when we are all used to having the best center fielder to ever play. I think he is a good player, but when I watch the deep ball get flung down field I feel as if he isn't ever back in coverage or he is so far away from the ball that he doesn't have a chance to make a play on it. At this point I feel it's time to get a new coordinator so that we can see where the real problem is or was.

But Thrill hill is our centerfielder ....

  19. We still won't have the money to sign an Alshon Jeffery or take on Calvin's contract, but we could definitely snag a cap casualty like Garçon, DeSean, Vincent Jackson, Roddy or Mike Wallace. We don't need a superstar WR, we just need a reliable and competent cast like Joe had in 2012.

I mean whats vincent jackson gonna be 54 whats roddy gonna be 55? Mike wallace is a deep threat that hasnt amounted to anything after he left pittsburgh i would take givens who wont even make the roster next year over him. All d jax is gunna do is get hurt... The only name i like that you mentioned is garcon... When hes the #1 he can get you a 100 catch season but the kicker is he also has big play ability. I mean everyone loves how we like getting players off casualties but i mean we havent really had too good of history with that. I mean yeah sss was a hit but look at the names that comes to mind b-mack was benched until he played 4 good games in the superbowl run... I dread bringing his name up even to this day but... Lee evans the only game he ever came to show up in had the biggest dropped ball in team history... I mean what are you gonna expect from these older guys like roddy or jackson... Theres gotta be some reason he isnt getting the ball this year.. I mean look at andre johnson this year he isnt the same player.

Gotta love the front office sinking money into questionable investments like Monroe and shipping out Boldin after he plays a huge role in us winning a SB, I'm still salty over that. The front office has squandered so much money we could be spending it's ridiculous.

well to be fair no one knew he would have as many injuries as he has had everyone at the time thought that was a good signing... I don't want to see him cut after this year... If he's traded cool and if we can keep ko cool... I just don't want to see Hurst next year play... Get someone who can at least hold fort for him

I just don't understand the fascination fans have with givens. I'm sorry I just don't see it.

I don't either I got negged the other day for saying something about him not gonna be on the roster next year... He's done his job but I mean there isn't nothing saying he has a spot on the roster next year

  20. You can't blame all the defensive mistakes on Pees. He is kind of limited by the personnel. However, it sure looks like the players out there just don't know their assignments and I know I have lost all confidence in the game plan. Is this the same for the players and their confidence in him OR are they just that lost?

Ahh come on dude... What have you been watching this season? Anytime we play a solid offense pees has no confidence in our defense... He will constantly play 10-15 yards off the ball in ANY AND ALL SITUATIONS it could be third and two and hes calling off coverage... And we are STILL getting beat deep.

My quick little 2016 wish list:

1.) That everyone comes back healthy, Flacco, Sizzle, Forsett, Perriman, Zuttah, SSS for an actual farewell tour

2.) We find an aggressive D coordinator that can develop talent.

3.) We address the holes in the draft, as I see it we need major help in the secondary and pass rush departments

I'm praying for Bosa, HGIII, or Ramsey, who I think will be a legit FS! Because god we need one.

4.) Sign Tucker and KO, plus make him LT and send Monroe anywhere for a pick!

5.) We land some awesome vets that will contribute. Some of the recent ones have been, well not the greatest, cough Arrington cough Lewis...

You had me all the way up until you said cough lewis... Lewis is not a bad player... Sure he dropped the ball in jacksonville but ever since he returned from that knee injury he has been playing solid football... I'm tired of people bashing on him for his horrible first 6 weeks... Stew did the exact same thing last year finished the year strong like k Lew has and is now a top safety in the league.
