Not an athlete who happens to go to classes. He clearly cranked up the intensity several notches when he dominated Leonard Williams. So football is important to him. A challenge excited him and he wanted to win the confrontation. So he will work in the nfl and hit the weightroom. So he has shown work ethic and competitiveness. I agree his interview is necessary to draft him. I understand there is much to prove about his game. But same can be said about your top6 players. Buckner I do not like very much. Boss I'm a fan but he has not checked the boxes. Hargreaves was toasted. There is more excuses for Ramsey not making big plays than big plays. Jack is not penciled in as the next Patrick Willis or even Luke Kuechly. He is the safest player next to Tunsil. The best player in this draft Nkemdiche has character drama. You could make a case Ron Stanley is as good a player as any in the draft. He holds blocks is athletic intelligent has balance long arms and although he could use some muscle he shows a very stout anchor. More so than Tunsil. His only question is will he turn his attention to weightroom after his graduation. My opinion he really will. He showed work ethic to get his degree when it us not really necessary. And he shows pride in his play when he turned up the intensity to dominate his confrontation with Leonard Williams.
We argued so many times during the season about u talking about how much we need tuNsil. come on dude

He is currently ranging to be going anywhere from end of 1st to some mocks in the 4th ... Really will come down down to how his knee is.
I dont See him slipping past tampa At 39 they Have kwon and lavonte and an aging daryl Smith. After that a bunch of no ones... He needs a team that doesnt Need him right away.
Could y'all we us getting a guy like hatcher after the draft regardless of what happens. I think he would be great in passing situations with the talent the team has now

Meanwhile Ryan Fitzpatrick wants $16M a year from the Jets.
While von miller is about as consistent as you get... 22 mil is a lot of money

Forsett will become a back up to another runniitng back.
No Ravens receivers will eclipse 1000 yards (balanced attack with Smith, Wallace, Perriman, Aiken, Campanaro, and tight ends).
Elam has significant role in defense as nickel corner/safety after torn biceps.
Arthur Brown is cut before the start of the season.
Defense will rank top 10 next season.
Webb has 6 interceptions in the 2016 season at safety.
I really could see all of these happening... Interesting to see if the Ilb spot is not addressed if elam Could see some time inside for Passing situations.

I think thats A very bold prediction to say especially after last season
I Get the shivers when I hear it... Still doesn't seem real... Things like this takes the heart out of you... Wish we could have seen him blossom, but the lord had other plans... 23 years old too...
Was it really worth 3 million? We have asked this dude to turn his life around we give him a two year extension last season, dude has been the one bonefied baller in our backfield for the past two years... And now he's cut... Yea there's some upside to the cut in terms of cap... But I mean out of all the people we could have cut we cut will? I don't get this one
That might be the greatest game I've ever seen
He wont do anything against a good defense... With more and more teams going zone scheme and west coast and boots and all that... Rbs like him that are strictly power oriented are becoming a luxury... I don't see him anything more than a change of pace back to be paired with a quicker back... Goal line type if that... It would surprise me if he slipped into early day 3
I wondering if we had taken Burfict and he had a year with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. A few years with Coach Harbaugh and Suggs, what would he be like. I believe with our strong leadership and Ray's guidance we would have tamed his thugness. What do y'all think
I mean If its one thing he has had was mentoring oppurtunities... veterans around him maualuga peko james harrison coaching staff reggie nelson etc... Who knows though
Friends, i love the Ravens as much as anyone on the forum here but after what i saw Saturday we may be 3rd place in our division for a few years to come. Looking at what we have now we cannot outscore either team and their defenses are just aggressive and mean.
We cannot compete in a game against them unless we play the perfect game and they play very badly. It looks like the Bengals are set to make a run for a few years straight unless they self implode like Saturday and the Steelers offense is just WOW and their defense is no slouch either.
Thank goodness for the Wild card slot huh. LOL Seriously though i am very worried after Saturday. How did we fall so far behind so fast ?
Well the thing is I firmly believe we have the steelers number... they are way more talented than us but we have won 8 of our last 11 with them... And with cinci... there is a possibility that both coordinators will leave and will have to start over... PLus a significant number of free agents this offseason... I firmly believe we can compete with these teams in future years
To be completely honest I would like to see upshaw sign somewhere else for the better of the team... yes because I mean he is a glaring factor in how kruger and mcphee walked... granted kruger cant defend the run to save his life but if upshaw isnt on the roster I believe we retain at least one of those two... I am excited to see zadarius develop I like him outside more than inside... and I believe he can develop into a solid edgesetter
After tonight's game I could never root for Cincy ever again, ever, never. Foul fans of a magnitude that surpasses most rectal excretion. You just don't throw drinks and debris on an injured player while being carted off the field, even if it was Big Ben. I'd much rather see things the way they turned out. And the refs got this one right by penalizing the bungles with 2 consecutive 15 yard penalties. Marv Lewis must be humiliated and should consider not coaching at this location again. As for Burfict, he should be permanently suspended from football, period. The crown shot on Brown was malicious with possible extended physical injury to this player. Not cool. I really like the sport but not players who behave like morons.
Our warriors and those of the Steelers have been clashing for 2 decades now. We've seen scuffles, hard hitting, broken noses, shoulders, some cheap shots (looking at Hines Ward) and general rough housing. You know what we've never seen?
Refs having to form a barrier between both teams in pregame warmups.
Players getting into it with the visiting teams coaches.
Players harassing refs and putting their hands on them.
Players head hunting opposing players to injure them.
Fans throwing garbage at opposing players being carted off the field.
Players exagerating their celebrations to such a degree that they run off the field into the tunnel and dissappear along with fellow players.
The Steelers are the Steelers. They're aggressive. But what we saw from the Bungles tonight was unbridled bafoonery. Their coach should be ashamed of losing control so wantonly.
Well im pretty sure now everyone knows now why i really hate the bengals and nothing they did last night surprised me... Their fans Are trash... their players are trash... The outcome of the team in big games are trash... What I saw from the bengals was a bunch of pepped up thugs thinking that they have already won everything... '0-3 bottom of the division baby'... lol I heard karma was a... well you know the saying...
Ah! A poll. Can I vote on who we take. We fans pay the bills so I should be able to pick...
Oh wait...
I think we take Treadwell. He's built for our offense. He gets jump balls, is a smooth route runner. Good but not great speed. Great hands. Physical.
To have him and Perriman. That's problematic for anyone. I think Trestman wants to replicate what he had up in Chicago. Jeffery and Marshall were two tall and physical WRs. Both had strong hands.
And yes, Breshad has strong hands. He suffers from a concentration drop issue. That's fixable.
I want Stanley... BADLY. But I think Treadwell is the pick. He's got a high ceiling.
Stanley kinda reminds me of KO too.
Why use #6 pick on Treadwell when we could get Mike Williams from Clemson in like the 5th round lol. DB is also a deep draft in my opinion, so take a DL or OLB. If Bosa is there take him. Maybe try to trade up. We're going to have a good amount of picks this draft. And next draft Ozzie can trade comp picks, it's well worth it. Bottom line. We need a playmaker if that playmaker is Treadwell or Ramsey etc. I'm fine with whomever we pick. It just needs to be an immediate impact playmaker.
Ehh i dont know about getting a reciever all the way in the 5th i like travin duval from lsu or derunnya wilson from miss st in the 2nd 3rd round
Actually, I can clearly remember having a faint foreboding about that last summer. Just go back and watch Suggs' pressers from last August - just before the season started. Instead of his usual "August" self, he seemed definitely moody, low key, reserved, and never really answered any questions about his future and veteran leader's role directly - straight forward admitting for example, that the fact that he may be at the end of his career has crossed his mind. He definitely seemes like someone who's just realized that there may not be much more ahead for him...
yea because i remember two seasons ago when asked about it he had said yea ive been playing for 11 or 12 years but im only 32... then at the start of this season he had said he was 'definatly on the back 9' when he tore his achilles again people were saying was he done... I thought for sure not... but I mean how long is he going to be around for?
Sorry about it but... terrell perriman?
But I don't think buck is near forsett though now if your talking next year or the year after mainly the year after I could see it... But defiantly not next year...Yes... I do. It's simple really. We have a top pick, and this is a pretty good RB class. If we feel Buck isn't ready, and want to save some money(albiet it's not much), then Forsett will go. Running back is one of the easier positions in the NFL to replace. And tbh. I think he's replaceable. If Ozzie Newsome has his heart set on Ekezil Elliot in round two, or a James Connor so on and so forth, and he takes him, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. If Harbaugh goes, "yeah. Buck is ready". Then I think Forsett goes to a team where he could be a starter(Denver?).
It's a circumstantial yes... But I think under the correct circumstances we are ready to move on
Buck Allen would be better in kubs system and vice versa... Let me ask you this though... Do you think they plan on moving on from forsett ... That's the question you must ask yourself before you say this and this might happenNo, I'm saying that Kubiak just made him look better than he was. It happens. If you have good oline play, you can get a good run game going. I'm saying we could do better.. And I think Buck is GOING to be better. When that is, IDK. But I want Justin for at least another year. He's good as a mentor, a decent runner, and great in pass pro. I just hope that Allen pulls a Ray Rice(not that one) and succeeds him before the season starts.
I'm saying that because I wouldn't be infuriated if we cut him. Hell, I thought we were going to let him go last year. Was happy we didn't, but I don't think he's as good as you're making him out to be. He's not bad either. He's a solid RB who looked great when we got him a great line.
well your talking like forsett can't run the ball though he can run it as good as buck can if not betterI want to keep him. I'm saying there's a strong possibility he's cut. I think/hope Monroe is first to go. Because Buck is a mentor, he's good in pass pro, he's not bad. I think Buck is eventually going to overtake him. But there's a possibility he's gone
But forsett is better than buck allen is right now... Buck is not at all consistent in finding the wholes... Its like he never cuts back yeah I like buck in space better than forsett is but when our line Runs the zone scheme I mean who do u want honestly if u think we should cut forsett... I question your knowledge of whats right for the teamBecause tbh. Forsett is a mediocre back who Kubiak made look better than he actually is. He isn't bad. But Buck's ceiling is a lot higher and he has flashed. I want to keep him for various reasons, but I'm saying it's likely.
Who would you in the league prefer kicking the football? Gostkowski? He's getting played 4-5 million. Come on dude.Lol you are hilarious. Do you have any idea how much the current franchise tag is for a kicker like Justin Tucker. Well it's around $4 mil and we can't afford that. Sheesh
Well if you followed the team during ota's and the off season last year you heard flacco say we'll get some type of restructure done I'm not concerned about my cap number at all for next year...Flacco restructure? How do you even know he will agree to one? Come on Man
yup... Nuff saidBilly Cundiff.
Sign Tucker.
I don't know why these forums are so content on cutting forsett... I know the idea of buck Allen is great but I'm not sold on buck's vision... That's what this run scheme is completely based on... Finding the right hole off combination blocks making one cut and going... He ran the same thing down In USC but I like buck as a backup to forsett and a passing down back... Let's not forget forsett is one of the best backs in the league in pass pro and is lightyears beyond buck at that element... If anyone goes it might be LT...So 15.2 million(though I do agree with the Forsett thing)..
Okay. With those we can easily get back Tucker.
Ohh man... Everyone screams bosa and Robinson... I scream deforest buckner... Yeah on some plays we will lose the leverage batlle and will get pancaked... But it looks like 90% of his snaps are knock backs and can shred one on one blocks... If we draft this kid No one will be able to run the ball on us next yearIf there's a beast DL in the draft, get him one way or another.
Imagine if will davis could get back to the level he was playing at last year...People are underestimating how good the defense got the second half of the season when they moved Webb into that FS/NC slot and put Wright opposite Smith on the outside. That secondary shut down two elite receivers the last couple weeks and held up nicely against some others. So maybe that 1st round pick can go toward a receiver or pass rusher.
As for Joe, of course he is going to restructure. Everyone in the world knows this is happening. He's not going to hold the team hostage and no reasonable person thinks that is his mentality. Plus IIRC doesn't Rice and Ngata's contracts come off the books this offseason? We should be able to do something without the ridiculous prospect of cutting Justin Tucker or KO which I have read.
Let's see what the state of the team is in a couple weeks before we go over the ledge that we're in a cap purge situation.
Mckinnie had 4 good games as a raven and that's when it counted the most... He SUCKED before he got traded to Miami... That's why we got eugeneI've never been a fan of Monroe. Didn't think we should have acquired him. McKinnie was just as good. Would have endorsed the Tackle Arizona got, but we traded average for average. Lost track of Monroes contract status, if he is a Free Agent...good riddance.
Upshaw has been ho hum at best. I don't think the NFL will be beating down the door to get to him. He's steady mediocre. If there's no significant offers we should keep him. He was another bad pick, but that's not his fault.
