  1. Beats me. Probably has something to do with being on overachieving teams with great defensive minded head coaches (Dungy in Tampa and 12-4 first year as OC in Carolina).
  2. Actually the #2 was Smith. The primary target was TE Greg Olsen, who was usually in a boot during the week between games.
  3. You realize the Panthers OC last season was Mike "Wildcat in the Redzone" Shula, right? The guy who went six weeks without a TD while OC in Tampa.... the guy who couldn't win at Alabama.... the guy who can't figure out deep routes don't work against an 8 man rush. Even Jerry Rice would put up pedestrian numbers in that offense.
  4. I pick up on the sarcasm, but since you were replying to a post about Flacco being a head scratcher.... I just wanted to point out Steve Smith spent the majority of his career with Jake Delhomme. I'm not sure there is a more boneheaded QB in the last decade (excluding Favre)
