Happy to get Abraham to mentor Branch for a year, and Clayborn as an understudy to Johnson... And all at low cost too...
Yes, I thought he would go final free agency when I cut him, but that was not the case. So I had much less cap room than anticipated to resign him.
Auch. That's unfortunate.
Did the Eagles just cut T. Cole gaining 8,5 stars only to pay 11,5 to get him back?
Andrew post your 4 Guys at great prices, while we wait for the bid-offs to be over! Please
I'm in the market for a TE if anyone has one they're willing to move
Kyle Rudolph (5 stars) is available as well.
Given some of these guys that have got cut any way we can have a FA period with everyone before the draft begins? and another one at the end..
Just a thought as many have come directly after the position period and there is a ton of talent
Just bumping this suggestion, especially seen in the light that we have (with the recent change in Colts leadership) 3 new owners who didn't have the opportunity to participate in some or all of FA. I would be i favor of this.
Wait. Seriously!?
Actually it was 27 mil, according to the list that was posted by the CoCo when we were discussing this, but whos counting once we go North of 20 mil?
I loved my trade with Elmo after obtaining Cyrus Kouandjio via trade. I love Antonio Richardson and while he went undrafted, I feel like he will be a solid RT in the league but I really needed a 1-2 punch with Jonathan Stewart after missing out on Ingram in FA. Montee Ball/Jonathan Stewart/Fozzy Whittaker combination will be a solid rotation of guys. Hopefully, as Stewart is wearing down with age, Ball will be hitting his stride.
I'm glad you liked it. Worked out pretty good on my end to, I think... I feel the same way about Antonio Richardson, and feel he will give me at the very least a reliable starter at RT. I was unhappy to miss out on him in FA, but I only had a total of 30 minutes to place bids during the OL FA period, and being under a CoCO-advised limit on the amount of bids I can put in, I just couldn't get my bids in on the guys I wanted. So trading for him after was the way to go for me. Ball kind of became expendable when I traded for Alfred Morris, and I am very comfortable with my top 2 RB's in Morris and Freeman.
I don't think I ever once asked to change a rule, and certainly didn't ask to change a rule for this season. If a rule was changed it would need to be for next year
Don't get me wrong, it isn't specified in the rules, I was just pointing out, that I brought this up earlier (I believe it was right after QB free Agency), I got the above response...
That's not what I'm saying.
If you have 46 players and 5 draft picks then that's 51; however, those draft picks don't count until the draft. So the reality is you only have 46 players. You're essentially losing out on stars that way.
If you're over 51 players by the draft, which is really likely for most people here, then you'll have stars leftover because those players you acquire after the third round won't cost much as they'll be 0.5 Stars. Under this scenario you saved those stars unnecessarily, you see what I'm saying?
This was discussed way earlier in the thread. The ruling by Andrew (I think) was that keeping track and making sure everybody understood the rule and got it right was to complex, and that therefore it is just tough luck, and the price of adding that many players to the roster.
It's a Little late in the game to change that stance, isn't it?
CB Brandon Carr (8 stars) available for a 5th round pick
C Scott Wells (2 stars) available for a 6th round pick
TE Kyle Rudolph (5 stars) available for a pick in the 60-80 range (late 2nd-early 3rd)
Offers will be listened to
Feels weird to see Elmo only get two guys.
^^
Great
Who is handling final 5 ?
Brandon Carr (8 stars) and Kyle Rudolph (5 stars) still available.
He's at 1,0 stars if memory serves...
Nevermind... I believe he's at 3 or 3,5 on page 5...
Is Maxwell at .5 star bid still? The reason I ask is I see the Redskins GM posted his original bid back on page 3 with two player bids, but he reposted Maxwell's bid a page later but it was edited which is invalid. So is it .5 star or no?
He's at 1,0 stars if memory serves...
Good, just making sure it is clear for you or anyone else who may have questions on it.
Absolutely
Just remember that you can only have 90 players on your roster at any 1 time. You have 62 counting draft picks. May not be a problem now but at the rate you are signing guys it could become one.
Don't worry... I'm pretty good at counting
I guess, still I got corrected 5 times when I messed up in LBs FA
Not really since it has been the same strategy for 3 periods now
Good point
But it's part of the grand strategy, though ![]()
Not very secret at this point
Or is it?
Elmo again bidding for plenty of players...
It's my secret tactic...
Jesus, elmo. 12 linebackers. I barely have that many defensive players on one side of the ball.
I lol'd there.
You just jealous man
Besides most of them cost me nothing because of rule of 51....
But hit me up if you're interested in one of them... Got some solid back-ups in that Group, that could be yours for a late-round pick or a move-up in a round (like the Dawson deal
)
Very happy with LB FA, I think I upgraded significantly
I second that on my roster
Allthough I do have a lot of LB's now... If someone felt they missed out, they are welcome to contact me ![]()
ELMO

And outside of Watkins and an amazingly deep group of RB's, not much unless you expect a 35-year old Wleker to suddenly play like he is 10 years younger.
