Damn, cant hold back on this I totally agree with you, and feel we can all Work towards getting this draft done as fast as possible, and i know as well that if everyone takes 12 hours to make their pick, the game will fall apart. I just want people to realise, that there's a fine line between one and the other. That's all...

We are basically in agreement then, I just don't want to have people feeling like they can't wait for an offer or whatever, which was kind of the sentiment I was reacting to... And I realize I just said I wouldn't comment anymoe on this, but when I perceive this kind of thing, it really sets me off.... I'll try to control myself a Little more....

And I get this, and appreciate it, as I have at times, and will be if I participate in the future, a beneficiary of this, but I just don't apreciate the pushing of making a pick. Either change the rules (this forum logs "last on-line time", so we could use that in some way) or live with it.... Just what I'm saying. Sorry if I'm bringing up unneeded discussion, but I tend to react kind of aggressive towards what I perceive as bullying, and will leave it alone from here on out. People wishing to continue this discussion or show support or disagreement to this stance are more than welcome to contact me through pm, but I don't feel that anymore discussion through the general thread of this game will contribute to the game in any way.

Agree with you Andrew, but just trying to say that complaining about peope using 12 hours, if that is the rule, that everyone more or less agrees is the way to go, is bsically the same as bullying people into doing stuff they don't want to do. Now, if one player always uses 11.59 hours to put in their pick, I'm all for trying to talk that person into speeding up their proces´, but imo, people need to step Down from the bullying, or we need to agree in a shorter timeline, if 12 hours is not acceptable to peple.

Point no. 1: If we can give someone else "power of attorney" to make our pick, we can give that same power to acept a trade, no? Point no. 2: If anyone thinks that the pick allowance of 12 hours is to long, then we should change it. If 12 hours is the right amount of time, then people should shut up about it. just my opinion!

A lot could be improved I agree, but franchise tag costs is one of the easier ones to "correct" though not a major one. But the truth is that in RL, the franchise tag is more prohibitive than in our game, but fairly easy to change, as it is "just" a value... In my opinion the FT- value is a thing that needs to change to make the game more realistic, andto top it off, it's relatively easy to make the change, as it allready exists in the game. Though not the most important "inequality" of the game, it is, imo, the easiest to even out and make more ralistic.

Suggestion no. 2: We really need a 3-4 OLB designation on the Franchise tag, not only this game but the NFL as well... It is ridiculous tht Justin Houston costs 10 stars, when JPP costs 11,5 stars, this year in this game (the cost being ridiculous either way, as it should probably be 13 and 14 for each.)

Not disagreeing with you, but I don't think that the athletic guards who are worth a 1st round pick in this draft (outside of Scherff). Watching the senior bowl practices completely turned me off Clemmings. He has potential, but there's a long way to go. And with Matt Ryan turning 30 this off-season, the Falcons don't have the luxury of waiting 3 years for a guy to learn the game. The Falcons need Guys that change the team this year.... By the way, this is also why I have been downgrading the CB's of this draft, as I don't see anyone in this class who will be top 20 in year one.... The Falcons, imo has 4-5 years with Ryan to win a SB... Planning for anything beyond that makes no sense.

This. I see lots of talent, but none who are definite upgrades over what is or has been available for cheap in FA in our game. Outside of Scherff who I think can be an instant diffence maker on the interior O-line if he is playing there, I just don't see someone who assuredly will... There's maybe 10-15 prospects who might, become that after being drafted, but if those 10-15 prospects make it at a better then 20 % clip, I'll be surprised. And I honestly don't know who that 20 % will even be (outside of Scherff). Another thing is, that this class, at the top, is actually quite heavy with man-power "only" or "primarily" Guys... If you are running a ZBS, I think the value is way later (unless you need a LT, which I don't on account of having Matthews)

Thought I would just comment on my Strong-pick from yesterday. To get it out of the way: Yes, I reached, and knew that was what I was doing. Don't regret it, though. When moving Down from 8 to 13, I was gambling on having the options of either: 1. move Down further and target Strong, or 2. have one of Beasley, Ray, Scherff or Gregory available. Unfortunately I never got an offer for my 13th pick, and the above mentioned players all went off the board prior to my pick... My top-rated available players at that point (need factored in, as I am not Ozzy) was Peat, Dupree, Waynes and Strong. The available DT's and RB's are somewhat down the board, as the DT's who fall in this range are more or less carbon copies of Soliai, and there is, imo, no value in picking a RB this high, when I allready have Morris and Freeman on board. The OL's of this class, especially at the top, doesn't really excite me (outside of Scherff, as an OG) As for my other available choices at 13: Peat: I don't like him as a high prospect. He might be a decent RT, but I really want more potential with a top-20 pick. I don't see him as a potential LT, And don't think he'll be a top-level anything. He'll possibly turn into a good player, but not a top-5 at any position he can play on the OL. Dupree: Lot's of upside, but I'm not a fan, and think he'll bust or disappoint as a first rounder. People with huge bust-potential are wa Down on my rankings. Waynes: I have him as my highest ranked corner, and seriously considered him at 13. In the end it was between him and Strong for me. However, there is something about him that makes me thinkn he'll be a bust. I can't really put my finger on it, but I have it noted in my draft-notes going back more then 5 months, and I'm not going to spend a 1st round pick on a guy I have that feeling about. Now, I have been wrong many times before, and I might well be here, but that is what my gut is telling me, and I follow that more than not. (If the Ravens should draft him in IRL, I'll cheer for him to prove me wrong) All of the above led to me choosing to pick Strong, even though it was defintely too soon for him. I just didn't like anyone as much, and I love how Strong projects across from Julio with Vernon Davis at TE. If Strong can win on short routes while creating a litlle bit after the catch, this offense should be hard to contain. I also feel, that at this point of their careers Strong offers an explosiveness and big play ability that Roddy White no longer has. Anyways. Just wanted to explain myself Comments accepted.

I was pretty happy to get him at that Price.... Now he gets to pair up with Soliai Again on the interior of my line. With Johnson and a rotation of A. Branch, Abraham and Clayborn on the outside, I feel that Atlanta's pass rushand overall defense has been significantly improved. With some added weapons in the passing game, and a Young O-line with some potential (though in need of 1 or 2 more upgrades) and the Falcons are looking solid, imo. Happy with how FA turned out so far. Bring on the draft!

Well, I never should have traded for Carr in the first place, and felt the 8 stars could be put to better use elsewhere.
