  1. Its quite bc John wants to slide jim hostler or Castillo in there

If he does that, and the team fails again this year, I will seriously be pushing for Harbaugh to be fired. And if anyone thinks that is insane, then I will tell you this... there are plenty who are already seriously trying to push for that to happen. Imagine if the team fails once again.

  2. "Every one"  here wants to replace Flacco too, so maybe Billick and Boller.

It will be just like old times.....

(yes I realize how horrible the old times were, thats my point ;)  )

Now there's an idea! We could hire Boller in as our QB Coach. People keep saying it would be great for Flacco to have a QB coach. That's a perfect fit.

  3. The level of quietness coming from this search tells me there is something brewing in Charm City. We very well may be in for a huge surprise when they hire the OC. The OC may be someone that we haven't even thought about yet, someone who may possibly be even better than the guys we're supposedly considering hiring.

  4. Just saying, Derrick Mason gave his endorsement of Hostler today on WNST, for what that's worth. Mason endorsed him and it's well known that he's well-liked by the players, especially Torrey. Who knows? It might be good to have a player friendly coach after control freak Cam and the not-fiery Caldwell.

And Mason also thought he had a good chance of winning the Super Bowl with the Jets too... your point??

  5. Ya they don't even need to waste time interviewing Hostler.  The guy practically had his ex players paying his plane ticket to get the hell out.

And also, Hostler "knowing the system" should be another reason he doesn't get interviewed.  The offense needs a philosophy change or some monster WRs.

I wouldn't be opposed to interviewing him, only to tell him at the end of the interview that he has been fired. The guy is a waste. He's not even that great at developing WR talent. I just don't see how anyone can consider him a legit possibility as OC. If he becomes the next OC, you can go ahead and skip watching the team next year. If you thought this past year was horrible, wait till next season.

  6. Harbaugh has always been the first to praise his players and coaches. He has strong belief in all of their abilities or they wouldn't be here, so it shouldn't come as a surprise for him to say that he has faith that Hostler is qualified to be OC. He has held the position before and has been on Harbaugh's staff since he has been in Baltimore. He knows the system and is a trusted assistant. It would be a slap in the face to not at least be considered for the job.

How about considering the fact that the last time he was an OC, he flat out failed?? How about the fact that last time he was an OC, his players pretty much hated him because he sucked at his job? That's consideration for ya.

  7. What? Bama lost in spite of AJ, not because of him. Their special teams made Cundiff look like a god in comparison.

AJ actually did a good job tonight. He kept Bama in the game when both their ST and D was starting to miss a gear. He was partly responsible for the 99 yard TD that put them up 28-21. He can't help that his team missed 4 FG's, and he definitely did not cause them to kick to the returner/give him a 109 TD return on the last play.

  8. Screw these announcers questioning Saban's coaching decisions.  I'm not even a Bama fan and I concede he's already the greatest college coach of all time.  His record speaks for itself.

Just because he's the greatest coach of all time does not mean he does not have flaws. No one is perfect. I think it is refreshing to be reminded that perfection doesn't exist. It is perfectly okay for people to give constructive criticism to his decisions.

  9. LOL at Bama losing tonight. Serves em right. Although, they do still have a chance to go to the BCS National Title game, if Auburn loses to Mizzou, and OSU loses to Michigan State. I don't see Alabama being ranked any lower than 4th, right behind FSU/OSU/Auburn.
