  1. In addition to the boards being made by members here, I want to say that Russell Street Report has an excellent website and a great board to discuss all things Ravens. Like most of you all, I think facebook Ravens is a great place to get ticked off at the ludicrous comments made by fair weather fans who have no clue what they are talking about. I just thought I'd pop in and let you guys know there are far better ways to communicate in boards like this one without having to discuss with moronic fans in places such as Facebook.
  2. IF we had a better DC, we'd be using much more 4-3.
  3. I just think it's awesome how a guy drafted in the 4th doesn't even showcase his supposed "one trick pony" skill, yet he completely impresses in other ways. From football intelligence, to solid hands/routes, he was balling out. Judon and Stanley both impressed as well. Judon looks special, like he plays with a chip on his shoulder. His second sack was amazing, just drilling into the QB without forgetting how to properly wrap up for the tackle. So many times you see a guy going for a big sack and he completely whiffs and the QB gets to live to see another day on the play. As for Stanley, he is definitely showing why he was drafted at 6. Not only his skills, but his smarts and leadership potential along the line is a beauty to see. Orr also did great, he always seems to find the hole to the backfield and knifes his way through. Reminds me a lot of Bart Scott actually.
  4. Kamar is a poor man's Anquan Boldin.
  5. Well let's see.... Roddy White, Golden Tate, Mohamed Sanu, Marvin Jones, etc... I can go on and on. All better than the [profanity deleted] we currently have at receiver.
  6. Huh, kinda like Peyton Manning his entire career. What a shocker.
  7. I'm definitely thinking this guy can make the roster. With Elam's injury, an additional spot opened up. With Trawick playing terribly (and has been for quite some time actually), he has a clear-cut opportunity if he "take the bull by the horns"
  8. I'm kinda disappointed in Butler, thought he'd do a little better tonight
  9. LOL sounds like Harbs is beginning to get pissed at that bend but don't break crap mentality
  10. 6'2, 210
  11. So there is a lot of talk going on about Butler, but I don't see a thread devoted to him, unlike with players such as Melvin/etc. I believe he is lighting it up enough to have his own thread, but if mods wish to merge this, then that's perfectly fine. Butler seems like he will be a star one day. Not the quickest guy in the world, but speed isn't the end all, be all in the NFL. His routes are crisp, and he catches pretty much everything in sight. Why not use this guy in the slot? He has the perfect size/attributes needed to be a star in the slot. What do you see his potential as being, and what player does he compare to? To me, his story seems to be similar to Tucker, just a year later (not breaking out in his rookie season due to injury). He was undrafted, but he has potential to light it up with enough snaps/targets.
  12. This is a move that has a lot of components flying underneath the radar. The Ravens love versatility, and they love special teams. They may indeed be trying to make him a receiver, but he can also play emergency safety if needed. And the guy knows how to tackle, so he could contribute to the ST at the very least. Or.... the guy doesn't make it beyond first round of cuts.
  13. IMO = in my opinion
  14. I honestly believe that this team will be playing with a huge chip on their shoulders this year. Losing to a hated enemy, after being up by 14 twice, will do that to a team that has highly motivated players and excellent coaches, as this team does.
  15. Woohoo!! 4 players out of thousands. Such an elite scout.
