Mcshay and Kiper did a mock on ESPN earlier and had Jalen Ramsey going to, wait for it.... The team that happens to be picking at 6. To go along with Casserly's mock from earlier, it's at least encouraging to see that it remains a possibility. (Insert Jim Carey "So you're telling me there's a chance"). Ramsey has been my guy since the beginning in terms of the guy I would cry tears of joy to see holding that purple jersey on the stage, and I'm sticking with my faith. I think SD goes Tunsil, and I think Jacksonville loves Myles Jack. For some reason, and this is just a gut feeling, I think Dallas pulls off the first swerve of the draft. Dallas has broken our hearts once before with Dez.... They couldn't possibly do it again, could they? COULD THEY?!?!
6 hours ago, Italian Raven said:Probably my fav mock so far.
Even with LT being unaddressed it can't be the end of the world; Castillo proved to be a very good O-line coach, turning late round prospects into valuable players. Good play-call would also def help Joe to get rid of the ball sooner than later.
I only wonder how do you see the first 5 picks going because that's where everything is decided. Why shouldn't the Chargers get Buck, the most solid and with the highest upside DT in the draft, given they're desperate for inside help?
Â
The way I see the first 5 going is as followed....Â
Titans: Tunsil
Cleveland: Wentz
San Diego: Ramsey
Dallas: Bosa
Jags: Myles Jack
I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all, knowing Jerry Jones, if Dallas shocks the world and grabs their future heir apparent to Tony Romo. That would be the best case scenario, obviously, because it would allow another defensive guy to fall. It is all opinion and speculation of course, as this is one of the most hard to predict top 5's in recent memory. I just see Ramsey solidifying the back end of the Chargers secondary, but you're right, they could definitely use Bucker.Â
Edit: I also didn't address LT simply because I have a feeling that one of either D'Brickashaw Ferguson or Ryan Clady will end up being cap casualties, and the Ravens will pounce. The Ravens will also most likely be moving around and acquiring more picks, and they could pick one up later in the draft as well.Â
Would definitely be satisfied Hargreaves in the first. I would have actually mocked him to us if my gut wasn't telling me that I don't see the Ravens taking a DB in the 1st unless it's Ramsey. Solid mock.

If we got him in the 4th I would cry... I think he's too good of an athlete to fall that far tho... 3rd round is even a stretch, IMO.Â
Just now, ellicottraven said:For all the Elliott naysayers and there are many understandably, here is an article I came upon researching him. I thought it would be an interesting read and provide a good perspective on him besides your keen film watching abilities. I thought what was said about him was impressive to say the least. If any RB can be mentioned in the same sentence as AP, he shouldn't be dismissed so quickly.
Â
How many running backs have been compared to Adrian Peterson coming out tho? Quite a few. Not saying that he won't be a great player, I personally think he will be a workhorse at the next level. I just don't see the Ravens having a running back that high on their board when there are much more pressing needs at key positions.Â
8 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:I love how well miller picked up the route tree and how quickly. He's got superb work ethic and football smartsÂ
But wasn't there a lot of talk about him having hands that just aren't suited for success in the NFL? I may be imagining stuff and I really like Miller but I could've swore I heard something about his hands
There are questions about Miller's hands, as there should be. He was a first year player at wide receiver. However, I feel like he is naturally gifted enough athletically to improve. Like you said, he picked up the route tree surprisingly fast, and has been cited numerous times for wanting to work hard enough to be a big play receiver.Â
Round 1:Â

Deforest Buckner, DL, Oregon
Although Jalen Ramsey is by far my favorite defensive prospect, it's a near certainty that he isn't available at 6, Myles Jack could also be in play, but I think Buckner is the pick here. The Ravens get a MASSIVE athlete to instantly plug and play alongside the young stars in Williams and Jernigan. He adds a much needed interior pass rush, and allows Carl Davis to move to a rotational role.
Â
Round 2:

Â
Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Kentucky
Corner could be alternatively addressed here, but I see edge rusher as perhaps our most pressing need, and a beefed up pass rush is a proven solution for a questionable secondary. at 36, The Ravens get incredible value by grabbing in my opinion, the most gifted edge rusher in this year's class. I know the ecstasy issues are a concern for a lot of people, but I see Spence similar to Jimmy Smith coming out, a college kid that just needed to grow up a bit
Â
Round 3:
Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State
I know this is going to be the most head scratching, scrutinized pick that i've made in this mock, and that's OK. The one thing the 2015 team lacked most, was playmakers on BOTH sides of the ball. Miller, although new to the position, is an INCREDIBLE athlete that is determined to excel at receiver. I think this kid is special, and grabbing him at the beginning of the 3rd round might even be unrealistic, but if he falls, I would jump on the opportunity to add another weapon to the offense.
Â
Round 4(1):
Scooby Wright III, ILB Arizona
Â
Wright could easily go in the 3rd round, but I think he falls to the early 4th. A tackling machine that had a monster sophomore campaign, Although a bit undersized, Wright adds an athletic, instinctive linebacker to compete for reps alongside CJ Mosley.
Round 4(2):
Harlan Miller, CB, Southeastern Louisiana
The Ravens are known for dipping into the pool of small school prospects, and I feel this is a typical Ozzie Newsome pick. Miller had a productive 4 year career, looked good at the Senior Bowl, and had a disappointing 40 time at the combine, which allows him to fall here. Will definitely need to add muscle in order to handle NFL receivers, but could provide depth and eventually develop into a solid player.
Round 4(3)
Isaac Seumalo, OG, Oregon State
Perhaps another mid-round gem on the offensive line, Seumalo is one of the more pro-ready interior lineman in the draft, and adds the versatility to play multiple positions if needed.
Round 6:
Yannick Ngakoue, OLB, Maryland
I can't stress enough that adding young pass rushers is the biggest priority, which allows the Ravens to double dip at edge rusher. I'm not quite sure where Ngakoue will end up going, but his lack of run stopping ability could cause the local product to fall. Would start out as a situational pass rusher, and could end up being another Pernell Mcphee-like steal.
Â
Not really. You think the Steelers are upset over Rod Woodson being the Raiders DB coach? Also for as great of a player Reed was, doesn't mean it would translate to coaching. Whether it was us or Buffalo in this case, it was a gamble not knowing what they are getting. I'm happy for Ed, I wish he was coaching here but that's it.
I don't see it as much of a gamble..... He's going to be their assistant DB coach. If anything else, Reed adds one of the most intelligent defensive minds to ever play the game, to a defense that is already VERY good. Hope everything works out.
Who cares about depth chart... All I'm saying in this thread is that the guy got his chance to play and he showed up and played really well for a young guy like himself. I just hate when players never get a chance or aren't put in a position to succeed.
I'm not taking anything away from James, he was a feature attraction in "Hard Knocks" for his work ethic and overall character, but what limited playing time he has seen does not validate the assumption that our Brass "missed out" on him. Rashann Melvin played well early on last season and got TORCHED in the divisional game. Any way you split it, this pourus secondary needs a lot more than Charles James to be saved, starting with a new safety.
Maybe trestman can do for schaub what he did for McCown a couple of years ago.
McCown also had more weapons than he could dream of lol. There's a Major difference in McCown throwing to 2 top 10 wr's in the league in Jeffrey and Marshall, not to mention one of the best pass catching backs in football, along with a pro bowl tight end lol.
As unfortunate as the Forsett injury was, and with Joe being out for the year as well, I have to say, the runningback position has me intrigued the most going forward. Buck Allen has the chance to prove that he is capable of being a workhorse that can catch out of the backfield in this league, Terrance West, who has always had the physical tools, but immaturity issues, has a chance to show the coaches what it means to really buy in to your hometown team, and put it all together. So my question is, If somehow, Allen and West tear it up the rest of the season, what happens to our then crowded running back situation? LT has shown flashes of being a bruising change of pace from Forsett and will be coming off of IR as well. This is all irrelevant until we see what Buck and West accomplish with the opportunity that has presented itself.
I was at the game, and CJ was getting FIRED UP by the Rams players.... They were taunting the crowd and other players all game. It was good to see that fire, he's had a rock solid first two years, but now he needs to realize that this is HIS defense.
Joe Morgan, the Savior?
If we win 9 or 10 games, it will be Joe FLACCO, the savior. This is the worst group of receivers in the league.
This meme has been used quite often, but it definitely sums up this home-run of an offseason. For the haters....

Would Love to bring in Kyle Arrington. Solid nickel corner that could add some much needed veteran depth behind Jimmy and Webb.
The Stephen hill comparison seems really lazy on Miller's part.
Yeah, I really don't get that. It's not even a fair comparison other than height and speed. Hill played in a completely different system at Georgia Tech, with an extremely limited route tree, where as UCF runs a pro style offense. Hill also had extremely raw hands. I actually think Hill could have been closer to Demaryus had he not had to play on that lackluster Jet's offense.
Idk. Depends on what we offer. What's his value? About a fifth?
What it really depends on is the contract the team is going to have to give him before the trade is even finalized. That's the entire reason why Chicago is selling in the first place.
Id watch for Arthur Brown RN. After Boreland retired 49ers could approach with an offer, similar to how Detroit went for Ngata.
Q back and a 4th and they have themselves a deal, lol wishful thinking.
If I remember correctly, a certain Texans receiver made a pretty big mistake in a divisional game against this Ravens team, and ultimately resulted in him being booed out of town. You'd be crazy if you told me he went on to help that team In Baltimore win their second super bowl with that exact play that he made on Rahim Moore that everyone is talking about!I think people are wrong on Moore possibly not signing here because of that play. There's no way a player will turn down a contract because of that.
No reason we can't get both of them. I'm very happy with Lewis signing, signed him myself to the Bears.
And Cox should be much cheaper than what he went for in forum mock FA
3 years, 15 million to be exact
Cox is off the market.
I knew the silence would end soon. Getting to be about that time where Oz and company start striking deals. Now add a Corner, and a Vet WR or TE and Get to the draft.
im concerned with our inactivity...... we have had a much more boring offseason than everyone else
Too quiet, which means it's the calm before the storm. The Ravens are just being extra patient to utilize what cap room they have left. Just because it isn't on Twitter, doesn't mean they aren't being active.
Relax. All of this talk of next year being a year to give up and wait for 2016 is ridiculous. Just because the team hasn't signed an opposing free agent, does not mean this team will be the same on April 30th. We obviously have a few holes, something that goes against The teams BPA method of drafting. Guys are still getting Cut, with wide receivers like Greg Jennings recently added to the mix. We will be fine.

I would have agreed with you a few days ago, but I'm really starting to buy into the Bosa to Dallas hype. In my opinion, that's the rumor that has been picking up the most steam. We will see.Â
