  1. Not gonna lie, it would be nice to have one of our 2nd round picks play their 2nd contract here. For crying out loud, it's almost like every 2nd round pick for us as of late has either flopped or played their way out of our price range.
  2. I see a lot of negative Backlash from this signing. Let me put it this way, You're adding a guy that has started every game of his 9 year career to a secondary that was starting Rashaan Melvin, a practice squad player, in the 2014 divisional game. Finally some actual durability in our secondary. He's not Shareece Wright people!!! If anything he gives you a SOLID #2 that can hold is own if injury occurs.
  3. Brandon Flowers?
  4. Just because Claiborne wants $7.5 mil doesn't mean someone's going to pay that steep price for a talented, but injury prone corner. My guess is he realizes that sooner rather than later, and accepts the $5 mil from the Ravens. Unless of course, the jets pony up and make a desperate attempt to sign him.
  5. Not a La Canfora fan at all, but to be fair, he did call the Tony Jefferson signing LONG before anyone else. I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
  6. Without Jacoby Jones, This franchise has 1 super bowl ring instead of two..... just food for thought.
  7. That's not to say that they don't draft a Mike Williams or a Corey Davis in the first round to pair with him. Or if not the 1st, Zay Jones, Juju Smith-Schuster, and so on in other rounds. Signing a Jeffrey or a Pryor to a 1 year deal wouldn't make sense to me, honestly. Perriman has the measurables, draft a guy to pair with him and see if this team can actually DEVELOP a group of wide receivers for a change.
  8. Yeah let's hate the guy because of his 40 time. Did y'all hate that future ring of honor linebacker from Arizona State bc of his 40 time? How about that Wide receiver from Florida State that did pretty well here? His 40 time was atrocious. Smdh, I'm really excited about Jefferson, like Orr, he's one of those UDFA with a burning passion for the game and the hunger to improve his craft. To think he just turned 25 too.... he can be a special player for this defense.
  9. It's a good feeling knowing that the carousel that was the safety positions for this team finally have some talent and stability. I think they saw how Elam, Brooks, Kendrick Lewis, worked out (or should I say didn't) and finally just wanted to go out and get there guy. He just turned 25, was the top rated defensive back on the Cardinals per PFF, and seems to have a passion for the game and will to improve his craft. I'm sold.
  10. Tony Jefferson to the Ravens
  11. I guess if there's a silver lining of Juice leaving for SF, it's that Joe now has one less checkdown option!
  12. "In Ozzie We Trust" Went away after this team fell flat on its face 3 of the past 4 years. If anything Ozzie, Harbaugh, Decosta need to do everything they can to EARN that trust back.
  13. Pretty unimpressive that the front office was most likely unable to retain any of our high profile free agents. Not even 1 of the 3? Unacceptable.
  14. I can already see the Stupid grin on Harbaugh's face if they bring back Torrey Smith. Then we will have to hear about how he "Plays like a Raven, has chemistry with Joe, blah blah blah" Meanwhile, our WR group will be even worse than last year.
  15. tell me this guy isn't Russell Wilson
  16. Zay Jones can't catch a break but he can sure catch those balls!!
  17. Yeah I don't see it either, Good thing the Ravens will most likely have 2 picks in the 3rd round!
  18. Zay Jones would be a helluva guy to get in the mid rounds. GREAT hands, tough.... He's surely put that small school stigma to bed. The more he impresses, the harder it will be to steal him tho.
  19. I'm excited for the "complementary" wide receiver that isn't on the roster yet. I say if you add a Brandon Marshall type guy to this team, watch it flourish. This offense had its best years with Anquan Boldin moving the chains, and Marshall is a 6'4 version of that.
  20. Any running back not named Dalvin Cook taken early by the Ravens will have me pretty pissed as well. Dixon looks like he's going to be a very good NFL back, but the reason I say I wouldn't mind Cook is because I think he's really special, and the value would outweigh the need. However, it would all depend on who was still on the board if they took Cook to truly form my opinion.
  21. Eric Weddle was graded as one of the Best Safeties in the game last year... he's not going anywhere. Weddle is a playmaking safety. He's not Bernard Pollard or James Ihedigbo. With that being said, and with Webb almost certain to be a cap casualty, maybe they get a thumper to complement Weddle.
  22. I don't think it's whether or not someone wants to release Wallace, it's a matter of if they bring him back With an $8 million cap hit. Wallace is definitely at risk of being a cap casualty, I don't think anyone is questioning that.
  23. As we've seen and heard so many times from guys like Harbaugh, Ozzie, and Decosta, year after year they are looking for guys that "Play like a Raven", so I'm asking you guys, when are they finally going to say enough is enough? I don't know about you all, but I'm sick and tired of this front office taking prospects completely off of their board, simply because they partied a little too much in college, or happen to be a little out there in terms of intensity, and settling for much less talented and impactful prospects that "Look like a Raven". A prime example, passing on a guy (MULTIPLE TIMES) who would have led our entire team in sacks as a rookie(Noah Spence), for Kamalei Correa, who couldn't even perform well enough to dress with the team most games. We've seen it happen numerous other times, and in my opinion, that's what's keeping this team hovering around mediocrity. That's not me saying that I want the next Greg Hardy or Aldon Smith, as domestic violence is a HUGE red flag, but lets be honest, Football is not a sport for choir boys, and sometimes you need guys that have that extra edge. Our best defensive player was labeled by many as a "bad character guy" coming out of Colorado, simply because he smoked a little weed in college, and we all know what our defense looked like without him on the field. So my question is, how many busted picks is it going to take for this team to tweak its drafting strategy? I'm not saying let's be the Cincinnati Bengals, but let's take some calculated risks on guys like Tim Williams, and see what they can do. What do we have to lose, Because "Looking like a Raven" has sure looked a lot like 8-8 as of late.
  24. I hear you, but Sergio Kindle fell down a flight of stairs, although he had a DWI charge in college. Kindle was a clear miss but no one would have predicted his career would come to an end the way it did. Cody didn't have a single off the field issue in college. The animal cruelty charge came well after he'd already been on the team.
  25. Ken Weiman from 105.7 the Fan touched on this and I just wanted to elaborate on it as a forum. He's spot on, IMO https://www.google.com/amp/baltimore.cbslocal.com/2017/01/04/ken-weinman-rants-over-ravens-keeping-coordinators/amp/
