Round 1:
Deforest Buckner, DL, Oregon
Although Jalen Ramsey is by far my favorite defensive prospect, it's a near certainty that he isn't available at 6, Myles Jack could also be in play, but I think Buckner is the pick here. The Ravens get a MASSIVE athlete to instantly plug and play alongside the young stars in Williams and Jernigan. He adds a much needed interior pass rush, and allows Carl Davis to move to a rotational role.
Round 2:
Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Kentucky
Corner could be alternatively addressed here, but I see edge rusher as perhaps our most pressing need, and a beefed up pass rush is a proven solution for a questionable secondary. at 36, The Ravens get incredible value by grabbing in my opinion, the most gifted edge rusher in this year's class. I know the ecstasy issues are a concern for a lot of people, but I see Spence similar to Jimmy Smith coming out, a college kid that just needed to grow up a bit
Round 3:
Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State
I know this is going to be the most head scratching, scrutinized pick that i've made in this mock, and that's OK. The one thing the 2015 team lacked most, was playmakers on BOTH sides of the ball. Miller, although new to the position, is an INCREDIBLE athlete that is determined to excel at receiver. I think this kid is special, and grabbing him at the beginning of the 3rd round might even be unrealistic, but if he falls, I would jump on the opportunity to add another weapon to the offense.
Round 4(1):
Scooby Wright III, ILB Arizona
Wright could easily go in the 3rd round, but I think he falls to the early 4th. A tackling machine that had a monster sophomore campaign, Although a bit undersized, Wright adds an athletic, instinctive linebacker to compete for reps alongside CJ Mosley.
Round 4(2):
Harlan Miller, CB, Southeastern Louisiana
The Ravens are known for dipping into the pool of small school prospects, and I feel this is a typical Ozzie Newsome pick. Miller had a productive 4 year career, looked good at the Senior Bowl, and had a disappointing 40 time at the combine, which allows him to fall here. Will definitely need to add muscle in order to handle NFL receivers, but could provide depth and eventually develop into a solid player.
Round 4(3)
Isaac Seumalo, OG, Oregon State
Perhaps another mid-round gem on the offensive line, Seumalo is one of the more pro-ready interior lineman in the draft, and adds the versatility to play multiple positions if needed.
Round 6:
Yannick Ngakoue, OLB, Maryland
I can't stress enough that adding young pass rushers is the biggest priority, which allows the Ravens to double dip at edge rusher. I'm not quite sure where Ngakoue will end up going, but his lack of run stopping ability could cause the local product to fall. Would start out as a situational pass rusher, and could end up being another Pernell Mcphee-like steal.
