  1. The fact that you're comparing Noah Spence to Z'Darius Smith says it all. Keep in mind Spence was injured for part of the season, at one point was playing with ONE ARM, dislocated his shoulder, popped it back in, and went on to strike fear in the eyes of Cam Newton. Meanwhile Correa was a healthy scratch in how many game? Spence is going to be a helluva player at a position that this team is sorely lacking ability in. Spence is just an example, am I scratching my head that they passed on him twice? absolutely. That doesn't mean I'm just another guy that's crying over a spilled milk. I'm sure others see the real possibility of them passing on a guy like Tim Williams to add to that list.
  2. West is also an unrestricted free agent. I'm not advocating for Dalvin Cook to be the pick. I would much rather have Mike or Tim Williams, as I feel they fill a much bigger need, but I wouldn't be upset at all with Dalvin Cook in a Ravens uniform. I think Dixon has potential, but it doesn't match Cook's.
  3. The only thing that would upset me about drafting Dalvin Cook is if Marty Mornhinweg failed to properly utilize him. Cook is a guy that could be an absolute game changer. Dixon is a good back, but Dalvin Cook has the potential to be great. In an offense lacking game changers, Cook would be welcomed.
  4. He also has a track record of making the run game non existent, and a track record for winning a coin toss in SUDDEN DEATH overtime, only to choose to kick the ball to the other team..... So forgive me for not being very optimistic.
  5. So the Secondary is already leaky, as you've said, so it makes sense to rush 3 and drop 8 guys in coverage who aren't very strong to begin with?! Wrong. You get creative and try to execute some type of pressure! It is a proven fact that if you let Ben Roethlisberger stand in the pocket of a 3 man rush, he will rip your defense to shreds, as he and many other good QB's have accomplished against this defense week in and week out. Those defending Pees need to realize that these end of game situations have just as much to do with the play calling as they do with the personnel on the field .
  6. Honestly, HIGHLY questionable coaching decisions, both in game, and in building his staff, paired with the lack of success this team has seen after the departure of guys like Ed Reed and Ray Lewis, has ultimately exposed John Harbaugh as a vastly overrated head coach, imo. It pisses me off as a die hard fan to witness the lack of accountability and fire week in and week out from both Flacco and Harbaugh. I hope, for his sake, Mornhinweg can figure things out, because this is not a city that likes to lose, nor is it one that likes to wait.
  7. I would honestly love a Mike McCoy hire.... but on the flip side of that, with our luck, he will light the world on fire next year, Joe will throw for like 35-40 touchdowns, and McCoy will go become the next head coach of the Jaguars or something, and we will be stuck looking for our 7th offensive coordinator in the last 5 years smh
  8. Today the Ravens released the numbers that our new additions will wear, and I noticed this: Is this a sign of a change to the uniforms? Who knows, probably not. but It definitely has me thinking and liking that number font so much more than our current one.
  9. Harlan Miller, Kentrell Brothers Still on the board....
  10. Matt Judon looks like a cross between CJ Mosley and Elvis Dumervil, lol.
  11. Don't compare tape to 40 yard dash times. Like grim said, using a 40 yard dash time to evaluate an edge rusher is WAYY overblown. Technique and burst are what you look for in an edge rusher. I HATE the 40 yard dash because it clouds the judgement of some and their understanding of what makes a "good prospect". The biggest knack on his game is being a good run defender, no one questions his talent and skill set of being able to get to the quarterback. I would much rather trust tape than evaluate a guy purely on him running a 40 yard sprint in gym shorts.
  12. Spence will be a complete steal, and I honestly think he's a good kid... Reminds me a lot of Jimmy Smith in terms of character. Made a few mistakes in college, but worked hard to prove that it was that and only that, a mistake. His last 20 drug tests have been submitted to teams, and I believe this kid will have a clean pro record, and a very good career, hopefully in purple and black.
  13. I haven't been actively posting on this board in years up until this past off season. But back in the day, We always had solid debates, which I'm all for. People can disagree without having to attack Lol.
  14. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-combine/0ap3000000639689/Mayock-compares-Spence-to-Von-Miller-Khalil-Mack
  15. Couldn't agree more! Which is weird because In the past you and I have respectfully agreed to disagree quite a bit haha.
  16. Let's be clear... He had a bad combine time. He already knocked it down to a 4.6 at his pro day. I didn't call him Von Miller, I said he Compares favorably, which he does. Don't believe me? Watch his tape, and look at the physical measurables. I think Von Miller and Khalil Mack are very fair physical comparisons, and like I said, Spence will be one of the best players to come out of this draft. Spence>>>>>>>>>> Whitehair and it's not even close.
  17. Spence will be the best edge rusher in this draft. He compares favorably to Von Miller. Had he stayed at Ohio state, I have no doubt in my mind he would have been picked over Bosa.
  18. I would probably cry real tears if we went OL with our first 2 picks. That would be completely ridiculous. This team has legitimate holes on the defensive side of the ball, and there's no way we don't address that early. Corner, PASS RUSHER, ILB.... And we go offensive line rounds 1 and 2? No way, and no thank you. I like the Stanley pick, but I will be furious if they don't go playmaker.
  19. I've said it all along, If there was one guy that I had to bet money on being drafted by us, it was Noah Spence. I'm sticking to that prediction, I think he's our guy. The Stanley pick becomes a whole lot sexier after tomorrow. If we can draft a premier defender in the 2nd that has first round talent, AND managed to draft our future franchise LT, it's a win win.
  20. Interceptions in college are a bit of an overrated statistic, honestly. Think about it, the talk of guys like Jalen Ramsey and Mackenzie Alexander not being ball-hawking defensive backs is way overblown, because college quarterbacks respect them too much to even throw their way most of the time. Patrick Peterson had 6 career interceptions in his career at LSU, I believe? That will change when they make the transition to the NFL. They will be tested from the start, so hold judgement until then.
  21. Youre right. He does use the bull rush quite a bit, but he's also 5-11 and is able to play low and gain significant leverage due to his size. The thing that scares me about Bosa, is his underwhelming ability to rush around the edge, and while his floor seems pretty safe, his ceiling isn't as high as other options at 6. It will be interesting to see how he performs against more athletic, NFL level tackles.
  22. I have to disagree on that. When Denver switched to a 4-3 while Dumervil was still on the team, he struggled mightily with his hand in the dirt. I remember trade rumors surfacing because of it. In my opinion, they are polar opposites. I don't have anything against Bosa, I just don't like him nearly as much as Jalen Ramsey or Myles Jack in terms of becoming a game changing defender.
  23. I really hope Bosa is drafted before #6, just so we don't have to worry about it. I have legitimate concerns about Bosa, and I honestly don't see him as a great fit. He relies heavily on his bull rush, and I don't know how his game will translate at the next level.
  24. I'm taking the report from Jamison Hensley with a grain of salt. For starters, the Ravens have never been the team to leak draft plans, and secondly, if Bosa is off the board when the Ravens pick at 6, do you really believe they would take Shaq Lawson or Leonard Floyd without at least trading down? Just doesn't add up...
  25. I won't argue that at all, but one Cowboys executive said That bosa is getting "Strong Consideration" at 4, and Stephen Jones apparently "Lit up" when mentioning Bosa. Casserly, Mayock, Kiper, the big "draft gurus" have just been adding to that. Like you said, it could be a smokescreen, as those become the norm days before the draft, but I see Bosa as a much better for Dallas than I ever see him being for the Ravens. Ramsey is still the dream scenario for us.
