  1. It'd be idiotic to take a risk like that if Flacco's healthy enough to play. We're coming off six close games that all could have gone either way, with a lot of starters out already. Flacco can rest his shoulder during the bye next week. If we lose this game, our playoff chances are basically gone with the schedule we have late on.
  2. I was starting to think I was the only one with Super Bowl hopes this year. It doesn't hurt at all that Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are missing key players for part or all of the season too (Martavis Bryant, Le'Veon Bell, Tyler Eifert, Vontaze Burfict). I'm 100% expecting a career-year out of Flacco this season with all the weapons he has. The left side of the O line is a little worrying, but the Ravens seem to have a lot of confidence in Stanley at LT, and they sure as hell know better than me or anyone on this board, so I have a lot of faith in him. Our early schedule is relatively weak as well, 8-1/7-2 to start out the season certainly isn't out of the question if a few things go right. It's that late stretch of tough games that will make or break us. Joe has proven time and time again that as long as we make the playoffs, we'll always be Super Bowl contenders, and in my eyes this offense is better than the offense that won Super Bowl 47, so I'm very excited for this season.
  3. I don't see why they shouldn't attempt 55+ yarders as the first half is expiring, it's worth sacrificing Tucker's FG % if it means a shot at 3 more points before the half.
  4. You can guarantee it was his agent's idea at a bluff to make sure he was signed today, it's way too out of character for Justin.
  5. What you are asking for is a full blown report. Typically such reports take considerable amounts of time, resources and cost. What return on value is there for going to such lengths? As you say there is not much information available in such a format, mostly due to this exact issue. No one does anything expect to gain nothing. Even giving kindness one expects/hopes to make a positive difference. He didn't say he expected it, just that it would be nice if more information was provided. I agree with him; I have almost no idea if these are good or terrible moves because I don't know who they've scouted in the past (apart from the couple of players mentioned), these scouts are just names to me. That's not the fault of the writers by any means, it's just hard to get excited over moves if I know very little about how skilled these scouts are. I've got utmost faith in our front office though, so I'm just gonna assume they were good moves and trust Ozzie's judgement.
  6. Don't forget about Judon.
  7. I don't think they could risk that, even on day 3. Wouldn't be hard for the guy to text his friends about the draft board, then he texts his friend, then someone ends up putting something up on Facebook or Twitter. It's an interesting idea though.
  8. I thought I was the only one who noticed that Ryan's prediction has us getting bounced out of the playoffs in the Wild Card round? I noticed this too. I might have deluded myself a little after we had such a great draft, but I have Super Bowl hopes this year. This is probably the best offense on paper that we've ever had, and I really like what we did in the draft on the defensive side. If someone can step up and fill Daryl Smith's shoes, or if we sign a FA, then I don't see why we shouldn't have a shot. The schedule is significantly easier this year too.
  9. Yup. He makes for great trick play options. Might see the Ravens going for two points more often with the versatility of the offense. I dunno, it would be nice to see, but I know Joe's said in the past that he hates trick plays like that. I remember he lined up at WR once (2013 I think) and just stood there, didn't put any effort at all into the play as a protest.
  10. I would have to say the biggest thing I was upset about was passing on Myles Jack, I understand his knee problem and that we still got a great player. In my opinion he just isnt a player that you can pass on in the 2nd round, not only is he a top 5 player when healthy but he is so versatile that he can play any level on the Defense. I understand with the injuries we have had on the team and Perriman missing all of last year it was hard to spend a high pick on another questionable player. However I think we could of got a higher pick in return for trading down. While Jack has rare athleticism and would look good next to CJ, I think you have to ask if he's worth more by himself than Correa + Moore + Judon. Exactly this, I think a lot of people are forgetting that we got three players out of that trade. Arguably the best deep threat in the draft class, the college leader in sacks last year and very good pass rusher in Correa. I'd take the three of them over Myles Jack and the baggage of worrying about that knee his entire career. I guess we'll see how their careers all play out, but I'm very happy with the moves the Ravens made.
  11. This guy will be what convinces us as the fans that the trade down in the 2nd round was a great move. I like the sound of Chris Moore as well, after reading up on him a bit.
  12. You don't sound like you've thought this through at all. The choice wasn't between a "5th rounder vs Myles Jack", nor was it "a 4th rounder vs Noah Spence"... The choice was between "a 4th rounder, a 5th rounder and Correa (who they liked more than Spence) vs Myles Jack or Noah Spence". It's an easy decision to make, and I'm glad Ozzie is a man who sticks to his draft philosophy and doesn't listen to fans who have no idea what they're talking about. Moves like this are exactly why the Ravens have been so successful in the past.
