I just gave you 3 people, and there are others but I'm not going to waste anymore time on this. You claimed Swearinger was a 2nd-4th round talent whike Reid was clearly much higher rated on all respectable boards, but sadly that's not the case. I showed you the first round projection for Swearinger. I can also show you a lot of boards that have Reid as a 2nd or 3rd round pick. So getting back to the point, you were wrong in stating that Reid was rated significantly higher going into the draft. I could care less about where he was drafted. SF has already proven they will reach for players, AJ Jenkins. And I definetly could care less about what a niners fan thinks about their draft pick.
How does Cosell count? He never gave a draft projection. For the most part Reid was ranked higher, like here: http://walterfootball.com/draft2013S.php
here:http://www.draftcountdown.com/Rankings/S.php
here:http://cfn.scout.com/2/1285673.html
here:http://www.footballsfuture.com/2013/prospects/db.html (my personal favorite, as Reid was no.3 while Sweariger wasn't even top 10)
and here (there's tons more also):http://www.kffl.com/a.php/132916/
There are also tons of boards that showed Reid as late first-mid second (I can link those as well if you want)
I know the pick was reach at pick 18 but the good 'ol front office in Santa Clara had Reid as our highest safety prospect available.
What was your point again?
2 people =a lot? I actually wrote a whole scouting report on him. Watched tons of tape on him and he is very similar to all pro/pro bowl safety Dashon Goldson. He is a very strong hitter and is pretty good in coverage. He just is a risk taker (both bad and good). I'm gonna go with Harbaalke's opinion over yours here. Trust me, Reid will be a top 10 safety 4-5 years down the road.I just showed you one guy, Norris had him ranked at #27. I'll do the math for you, that would make him a first found pick. Red was overdrafted and will be thrust into a starting position.so he will accumulate stats, but I think there are several rookies including Swearinger (if he gets the PT) that will have better seasons, If you actually watched any tape on him, you would know he repeatedly got beat in coverage and took bad angles while also being an inconsistent tackler. I think he does have talent, but there was not much separating him and Swearinger in a lot of people's minds. And as I just showed you, a lot of talent evaluators preferred Swearinger.
True. Swearinger's front 7 is pretty darn good also though.I'd hope so though... Couldn't ask for an easier job with that front seven
Fair enough.Whoever got Reid can tell themselves that they got a steal. I'm rolling with Swearinger because he's tearing it up in Texans camp and I need his enforcement attitude to make Tight Ends to think twice about approaching the middle.
I never argued his skill level. He's good, but even you can't find 1 guy who said he's a 1st rounder. At the end of the season I'll enjoy laughing at you when Reid will be on of the top rookie safeties.Greg Cosell. He doesnt rank players or do projections, but he had a lot of good things to say about swearinger
I also know quite a few draftniks who were much higher on Swearinger than Reid including Rotoword writers Josh Norris and Eric Stoner.
Enjoy being wrong.
BS. Find one credible source who said Swearinger was a 1st rounder. SMHHe was.
Swearinger was linked to the first just as much as Reid.
Keep telling yourself that...
Where was Swearinger considered to be a 4th round prospect?
A lot of people thought he's slip because of the deep depth at safety in this draft.
Since you think so highly of him, then you should take him.
I would take him if I didn't have so many DBs though, he's way better than Swearinger lol.
Since you think so highly of him, then you should take him.
Yeah that makes sense. My 6th DB in like 23 picks. That may make sense to you but not normal people. I already have 3 CBs and 2 S.
Everyone knows he was a reach at 18. But most pre-draft rankings had Reid as a late first or early second rounder while Swearinger was supposed to be late second-early fourth. And both Reid and Swearinger can play both safety positions, like most of the safeties in this draft.
You guys really hate the 49ers. Swearinger>Reid? LMAO!!!
Pookie Sexbomb would like a word with all of you.
Woah! Hold the phone! Someone willingly bought tofu?
Like I said before, We will vote once we near the end. If everyone ( stress all 32) wish to continue, we will. If some dont want to go more we will stop at 25.
And if you disagree with the vote?
you like the game? suck it and play! until we vote on what the final rounds will be - the rest is outside this thread's discussion...
There are a whole lot of things you don't know about. If you knew the situation you would actually know we are pulling a Gabe here.
If we do vote:
I choose 33 rounds
If it doesn't pass I quit
Oh the irony
Hah perfect. I second this.
We're not even going to vote on it?
Gabe and voting don't go together, as we found out yesterday.
Slot CB is indeed a starting NFL position
They are on the field 55% of the time I believe
Three safeties wouldn't be a bad thing either, a lot of 3 S packages are used

If we were doing 33 rounds (cough GABE cough)
my bad, three CBs -
Chris Culliver Tim Jennings Corey Webster
Two outside guys and a slot corner (slowly becoming a position of its own)
why three safeties?
3?
Then why don't u like the Raiders
#thebetterteaminthebay
Yeah funny I'd sooner like the Jets. I'm not that crazy.
I like Eto'o more than Drogba personally.
So you admit you bandwagoned on spain? good to know
Iran soccer and West Ham all the way
To be fair I bandwagoned in '06 lol. Pakistan was banned by Fifa many years ago. My Dad is a Argentina fan (half of what they showed in Pakistan was Argentina soccer), so he grew up watching Maradonna. When I was little my Dad once said that it was a good thing I raised 2 kids to like exactly the same sports teams I like, and me being little I got mad and said I hate Argentina, and since a Spain game was on at the time I decided to banwagon to Spain and here I am now lol. My Dad and brother never let me forget that lol.
You are a huge bandwagoner
You bandwagon on spain, heat, and now barca get real man
Heat? I hate them lol. Barca on the other hand I've always like them (though they've always been good). Two reasons. Simply put I love their play style, however boring it becomes at times, and I really, really, really hate Real Madrid, especially Ronaldo and Ozil. I like Atletico more than I like Real Madrid (I do like Falcao though).
