He is supremely better at off coverage. Wright played off to play safe, Humphrey plays off to play aggressive. He plays off to diagnose the play and come downhill and blow up any short pass.

He needs work, but Humphrey defends the short pass as well as any corner I've seen

For the most part, I'm hoping that weddle is designated on his side of the ball as over the top saftey help to help deal with his one but really important flaw.

so Thomas could not cover nor rush the passer because he was to heavy?

different kind of player. Of course he could, he was an athletic freak. If he was in this draft and seeing who he became hes acually the closest thing to myles garrett.

I decided to watch full games. He was hsed in coverage so much it got annoying....and thats not a bad thing.

I read a lot of analysts say lack of production was a problem but in my eyes it was because Houston used him in coverage way too often. Its a miracle he got those sacks given his limited opportunities.

When in coverage he rarely was targeted and if he was, he was typically in good position.

I watched the 2015 bowl game vs FSU because i heard Daniel Jeremiah say he "ran with cook stride for stride 45 yards down the feild" so i had to check it out

Theres proof....he said he did it.

Now i watch the game film and IT NEVER HAPPENED!!!!! Cook never even had a carry pass 8 yards in the entire game! He had a 20 or so yard reception and Bowser was on the complete other side of the feild.

FYI GUYS!!! sorry to post this in this thread. I just really wanted to call out Daniel Jeremiah for being a LIAR!!!

actually, it was another game and i wasn't cook but it was a running back. I knew of this error when he said it.

I wish you and Harbs would stop saying that after every interview LOL.

Hey this is harbs, we feel this is one of the best drafts in years, all the players... they play like ravens. We cannot wait to get to work, God is great, we have the best QB in football and also we have faith, faith in the guy above, I have no idea what I'm saying but we're going to be a great football team next year, if we put in the work, i believe that we've addressed many of the issues from last year but as ozzie said, we also are not done yet.

Tim Williams is one of very few DL/edge picks that embody that. John Simon, Upshaw, DTs not named Willie Henry and Bronson Kaufusi, and even Paul Kruger had no hand use or burst. Just hustle. Sergio Kindle had both but...

We're getting better at it. Judon last year has both. ZDS has hand use, at least.

I realize Tim has what I'm looking for, but he's been the outlier.

Sergio Kindle was never tim williams when it came to burst. to this day I'm wondering who started the sergio kindle hype train

Ozzie, didn't you also trade up in the 3rd to get him? I mean, I can live with missing on Houston, but that's assuming we drafted another quality player instead. What exactly were you smoking when you thought Jah Reid was a better player? Please seek rehabilitation.

But, great job the past several drafts; I'm quite pleased.

Well, he was one of our 200 draftable players but when you have a talent like tandon doss being selected in the following rounds it was an easy decision. Don't forget that we still have sergio kindle who will be ready for training camp. We got better today..

  7. Imagine if this was what we could have done IF we traded back in the 1st and simply got an extra 3rd and 5th

    Round 1: Tre'davious white

    Round 2: Tyus Bowser

    Round 3: Chris Wormley

    Round 3: Tim Williams

    Round 3: Antonio Garcia

    Round 4: Nico Siragusa

    Round 5: Desmond King

    Round 5: Corn Elder

    Round 6: Isaiah Ford

I would give them a cautious 'B' at this point. However, it can quickly be amended to either an A or a C depending on how many players of this draft become starters. I can surely see 4 of them as potential starters with a 5th as a rotational player by year's end.

If we had got a bit luckier and had lattimore fall for us...boy this draft would have been epic. I just cant stand taking a corner who gets burned by the deep ball often in the first round

As much as it was kinda a bummer not to get away with a WR or 2, I didn't really think there were any receivers we could have taken that wouldn't have been pretty bad reaches. I'm glad that they stayed disciplined and stuck to the board. I mainly came in with players I didn't like that I didn't want the Ravens to draft, and the Ravens didn't draft any of them, so I'm generally pretty happy. I'd give it a B+

I think Cleveland had a pretty decent haul- not phenomenal, but decent. Garrett is going to be a beast (obviously), but I'm not sure that the developmental guys (Peppers, Njoku, Kizer) were good picks bc Idk if Hue gets to be there long enough to get them ready. Got some decent role players (Ogunjobi, Wilson) in the middle rounds. Generally a pretty future-focused draft. I'd give it a A-

I'm not big on Cincy's draft. I think Ross was a huge reach at 9 and the questions about his availability are pretty well-founded. Mixon is solid, but Cincy has no OL who are worth anything. Pretty jealous they snuck off with Dielman though. I'd give it a C

Pittsburgh was okay. Watt isn't someone to bet against, but his tape wasn't that special. JJSS is pretty polarizing, I think he'll be decent in a rotation, probably not a game-changer though. Sutton probably stuck in the slot competing with Golson. Conner was a reach. I'd give it a B.

    question,

Would you have taken TJ watt over Bowser?
