  1. He may not have been our most pressing priority this offseason, but how can you say that a player of his talent will not improve the team? Do you seriously think we would have gone to the Super Bowl without him, or won last year's Vikings game without him?

past tense. Use the eye test and judgment. if flacco messes up for the next 2-3 years are you going to keep on brining up the 11-0 ? I hope not

ravens need to know when to move on. With boldin they shouldnt have. With a guy like jacoby ...another story

  2. im going to be brutaly honest here. No sport is more based on physical prowess than the NFL. A knee construction can and usualy does mean the difference between all-pro and out of the league in a few years.

Im a bit dissapointed we didnt get byrd as clemons is hardly a game changer and not that good.

  3. Remember the last time we signed an aging future HoF CB and moved him to safety? His name was Rod Woodson and he was crucial to our amazing defense and Super Bowl run.

Champ is around the same age Woodson was and don't forget that Woodson led the league in interceptions during his final year at 37 years old.

All I'm saying, is give Champ Bailey a chance. Would make a great free safety and shouldn't be very expensive.

I think Rod is better than champ . Champ has declined big time in the past couple of years. NO thanks. Maybe as a backup

  4. A lot of fans seemingly would rather find another LT to replace him rather than pay him upwards of 10m. We do have 26m in space (give or take). Haven't we tried this since JO retired and failed? Keep it simple. Sign the proven commodity in Monroe and let the other chips fall where they may. We'll find cheaper talent at other positions .. But I'd rather invest in a franchise LT first and foremost.

If Haloti Ngata did what suggs did we would have a lot of options. Sadly he isnt a true raven.

  5. pitta wasn't a big need. plenty of excellent tight ends in the draft.

seriously 29 years old? let him walk! the draft isnt loaded with OT's but it is with TE's. If pitta was 25-26 Id be all for it. Lets face it, most of the board here would rather have pitta walk then monroe. Pitta is a good tight end. Not great, not a superstar.

LOL someone has already - the comment. I'll bet if i wrote this 3 weeks ago that wouldnt be the case. Thats the problem with homerism. If we didnt give pitta a contract but tied monroe up this board would be delighted. Now of course if we get monroe tied up before FA, I'll eat my words.

  6. Nope not really  a trade can happen  at any time  and its highly possible that a guy like Ebron would be gone before the Ravens are on the clock.  I really dont expect Ebron and Amaro both being available by the time the Ravens  are allowed to  draft. I can see Ebron going to the Bills and the Jets or Patriots  trading up for Amaro . Overall anything can happen theres always a what the heck why that team draft so and so when they have so and so moment in the draft.

There are 15 players way higher ranked . 4 qbs clowney, barr watkins are 100 percent certainties to be top 14 picks. I am certain ebron will be there for us at 16. Also plenty of indemand o linesman. In such a loaded draft no doubt ebronwill be there. I dont think the patriots will trade up 13 places.

  7. Haloti ngata has some nerve. He could really try to compromise. Hes a selfish so and so who isnt a true raven. In 2010 he was my fav player. Now i actualy wish he wasnt on our team anymore. Hes average. Hes more about money then helping the team. I laugh at the ad on this site with him smiling and the caption " get your money for nothing" ironic lol

  8. Apparently Pitta contract talks aren't going well and moving along. Pitta must want to get tagged as a WR. I just hope we lock up Eugene Monroe. Its much harder to find a capable LT than a TE.

Pitta is 29 and is looking for his first payday. Draft amaro or ebron. Sign a wr free agent. 2nd round go for an o linesman. Resign monroe and daryl smith.

  9. Who we gonna replace him with? The problem we are not the Seahawks, we are the Ravens. Why copy other teams? When we are the original blue print for Defense that the teams follow and copy

Draft the new Ed Reed/Rod Woodson then and cut down on the terrance codys and matt elams.

by the way, our 2006 Defense was in my opinion, talent wise the best we ever had. No one cares though.

Outside of Dwan Landry And samari Rolle I wouldn't select any seahawk over our starting D

  10. In this league, there is no room for sentiment when you are a rebuilding team. News Flash we are a rebuiling team. We are not as good of a squad as from 2008-2012. We need cap. a 32 year old past his prime edge rusher is taking up a lot of it.

Time to move on. We also need to learn how to do contracts.

  11. I think with Kubiak in the fold he's going to want an Andre Johnson-type WR, and I think that Kelvin Benjamin could very well be that guy! I'm getting really excited.

Kelvin is a good prospect..but comon..andre Johnson is in that rare class.

I think  we work a lot of 2 tight end sets. My guess is we get a physical big blocker ala CJ in the draft to go along with pitta. We lost a lot of blocking upfield with the departure of boldin. We are a smashmouth team. Expect us to be bigger in every aspect.
