  1. I know I missed something now we replaced three lineman from last year who and with whom ? I know oher is gone but I don't recall seeing anyone else being signed or replaced . oher has not been replaced either. your correct we have the exact same offense as last year with smith and daniels in for clark and stokley there is absolutely no reason as all to think we can't finish like we did last year . and most of the idiots know Justin tucker is not going to beat either manning brees , or brady .

Maybe you gotta give youth a chance. In this case wagner...

  2. Cj Mosely was BPA. Actualy if any of you remember daryl smith coming out of college thats who i compare him to. Smith became a coverage monster as he developed. Oh and in my eyes Daryl Smith has been a pro bowler for years. Just with the wrong team.

btw every team has its weakpoint. FOr us it probably will be free safety. I predict we pick up a RT or WR in this round.

None of the free safeties in this draft impress me much

  3. I dislike the pick for a number of reasons;

I don't think ILB is a valuable position in today's league.

    Mosley has medical red flags.

Even if he pans out, good ILBs can be found throughout the draft, they don't need to be taken mid-first.

The quality of player in this draft. I personally didn't have Mosely as a First Rounder.

Alabama players have a tendency to cap at being solid role players or just busting completely (Upshaw, Barron, Jackson, Carpenter, Ingram, Richardson, Cody, Arenas, Kirkpatrick, Hightower). Of all the highly touted Alabama players only Dareus, Jones and Lacey have lived up to their billing.

I respect Ozzie and our front office as much as anyone else, but please remember that they're human. They make mistakes, as evidenced by their not having drafted a Pro Bowl player since 2008. The only other teams to do that have fired at least one front office staff since. I'm in no way saying that should happen, just pointing out how poor the drafting has been the past few years.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't be happy with Ozzie, just don't blindly follow "In Ozzie We Trust". You can have a different opinion on players. It's not illegal and it shouldn't result in people being called out.

The draft is as much luck as it is skill. Remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if they can back it up with tangible facts/evidence then I don't see where the problem is.

true. I havent liked his picks in recent years

but mosley is a baller. He has high IQ and great instincts. Something which we have lacked in our draft picks in recent years.

  4. lol....this is the first hig IQ player we have picked in a while.

I was horrified by the elam pick last year

IM actualy pretty happy with this pick. The guy is a football player. Dare i say it, he reminds me of a young Daryl smith in college.

    We took BPA

I have him higher then HA HA and Pryor.

Just Get a saftey in the 2nd. Maybe trade up for ward. A DE and WR in the 3rd. RB and TE in 4th.

    Call it a day

  5. Hahaha, tolucaraven is talking out of bis butt, dat is 100% YES.

Dean Pees would never made comment like that to anyone, anyway

I see the O-Line forming on the horizon

LT Monroe - LG Shipley maybe? - C Zuttah - RG Yanda - RT Osemele

Thats not much of an O line. Wouldnt be scared if i was the opposing d-line. I feel we have too many holes and not enough star quality. We are an ok team, but roster/talent wise we are middle of the park

    -2

  6. haloti ngata has been a massive dissapointment. His production based on his salary last year is actualy an insult to many d-linesman not even getting 1/4 of that and putting up double the production.

i have lost a lot of respect for ngata. If he had taken a slight paycut this year it would have changed my opinion of him.

  7. look hardbaugh, I am not the biggest joe flacco fan around. I think he is horrendously overpaid and will always be inconsistent but he is a bit better then some of the names you have put out there.

Flacco is probably between 14th to 17th best QB out there but he can make plays. We have to build a team for him and not build the team around him. He isnt a tom brady who can make anyone look good. He needs talent to bail him out! hopefuly we can do that for him this season.

  8. steve smith is a great player. great players remain relevent until they retire. ( see rod woodson etc)

smith is going to make us better but we have a long way to go before we can say this team is good enough to get to the Super Bowl. The roster needs upgrades big time

  9. I think someone else pointed this out, but I'm not sure where. I'm surprised to see the Ravens "haven't shown interest" in a center. BDLP is the best option on the market and it's surprising to see zero about him. Ozzie said he wanted to improve the interior offensive line and the free safety position, but so far, we've heard zilch about either.

This strike anyone else as odd given how weak the draft class for both positions is?

    yup

    very odd

  10. Not sure if I like the signing of S. Smith or not. 35 yrs old WR is a scare to me but I will hold judgement till September.

Smith is no regular 35year old. Hes a freak athlete. But the reason why hes been so good for so long is his route running and hands along with his epic speed. He might not be as quick as he once was but Did it stop mason?

  11. so you are saying we should have gone after Veldheer and risk turning Monroe off to a deal with us completely, only to potentially not land Veldheer?  knowing what we know now about how the market unfolded, I suppose MAYBE that works, but still not smart all in all

Monroe is better than veldheer. Nuff said

    4

  12. We could have had Veldheer

Have a low opinion of Monroe, but will not say any more until the season. Will point out every sack he is instrumental in allowing. PFF won't agree but they haven't a clue.

He can't run block either. Have no idea what Oz was thinking.

    3 sacks.

2 in that horrendus weather game vs bears and 1 in his debut

Hes a very good left tackle

  13. It really was an Anti-Oz signing wasn't it?

He takes a 35 year old receiver. (Read not confirmed) And pays him pretty dang good money with the signing bonus.  Really Un-Oz like.  But he's clearly feelin the heat from what precipitated this.

    What do we get?

We get a veteran that knows the game. Knows the Hot Reads...Knows his routes.

We get a athlete who really keeps himself in shape.

We get a veteran to impart the smarts to the young guys like Mellette, Brown and even Torrey Smith.

We get an attitude that we seemed to have lost last year.

    We get a lot.

    We get hope.

Make no mistake he is not Anquan Boldin, but he may bring intangibles to the table that make him even more valuable than would initially appear.

I'll give Oz kudos on this one.  He broke the recent mold and Raven fans have to love the gamble.

i really think you underrate steve smith....steve smith has always been a higher ranked WR then boldin

Smith was dealing with injuries last year..the previous 2 years he was epic. Boldin and smith are of similar ability right now..but in their primes..comon..its not even close..steve smith was BIG TIME. he can make plays for us like boldin did but in different ways.

  14. I would be all about signing Jeremy Zuttah for 3-4 years. With that signing we can have Monroe, Osemele, and Zuttah for years to come. Zuttah may not be flashy, but he is an upgrade over Gino and I think Gino can be a quality backup for now and potentially a starter in a few years.

Here is the thing about zuttah and honestly i agree with bleacher reports assessment. he could be pretty damn good if he put on some upperbody mass.

he should ask ray rice for advice on that lol
