  1. Kboum I am not as sold on Buckner as some are.

I have several friends who are fans of the Giants and Eagles, both teams really want Elliott.

OT is a premium position and there are plently of teams with a need for one behind us.  I could easily have use CB instead as im sure there would be demand for VH3 around that point ...

  2. All the teams below us have a reason to want to trade up to jump a rival for a player of a certain position.

QB) 49ers Eagles and Rams RB) Eagles, Giants and Dolphins OT) 49ers, Eagles, Giants, Buccs, Bears, Dolphins and Raiders etc

I would only trade back if Bosa Jack Ramsey and Tunsil were gone.  I wouldn't want to drop back any further then 15th as I believe the advantage gained in adding picks is diminished by the drop off in players talent.

Trade with 49ers to no7 where we could swap our 3rd rounders and gain either their 4th & 6th or both 5th & 6ths.

Trade with the Eagles to no8 to gain their 4th & 6th.

  3. Trading our 6th to the Rams for their 15th, 43rd and 45th pick will only happen I believe if Goff is still availiable.

    1..15) Treadwell WR.

    2..36) Spriggs OT.

    2..43) Apple/Fuller CB.

    2.. 45) Traded to Eagles for 77th 79th 110th picks.  Use the 110th and 126th to gain another 3rd at 95th.

    3.. 70) C. Jones DT.

    3.. 77) Shephard WR.

    3.. 79) Tretola OG.

    3.. 95) Matakevick ILB.

Would use a 4th comp pick on Ngakoue to add OLB

  4. The comp picks we are predicted are currently 4th McPhee, 4th T. Smith, 5th Daniels and possibly a 7th for Taylor.

I think most people would be happy with your first 3 picks based on no trades.

Perry is a mid 2nd rounder thats some fall to the 4th comp spot, currently ranked 74 but you have him taken in 140's.

Hall is predicted to go rounds 2-3 and would need to fall a full round.

Coliins would be around the top of round 4 but Hargrave should be there at that spot.

    C. Jones is currently in the 4th and would have to drop two rounds for 6th, think our comp is a 5th not 6th so may get there.

Ngakoue is predicted a 6th rounder but I agree using a 4th comp on him, may not be there in 5th comp spot.

Glasgow has risen to 5th round range but has off field issues so could drop again, Dahl is predicted here but think he will shoot up to 4th range.

  5. I would rather give Aiken a second round tender then risk losing him for nothing if he signs for another team.

Although not spectacular he is consistant performer this past year and was regarded the no.1 reciever for half the season.

My only question would be that should he receive a second round tender and someone came in to signed him would the 2nd round pick be for this year draft or for next !?

  6. Going by the outline in your draft, here is what I would like drafted.

    1st (15) Treadwell WR
    2nd (36) Spriggs OT
    2nd (43) Apple/Fuller CB
    3rd (70) Matakevich ILB
    3rd (76)  D. Jones OLB
    4th (101) Trelola OG
    4th (107) CJ Prosise RB/WR
    4th comp H. Miller/Murray CB
    4th comp Ngakoue OLB
    5th comp Zettel DE

    6th (164) Maddy DT

I think it would be highly unlikely the Rams would give up four draft picks this year 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th.  I am hoping Goff is on board and get 1st and both 2nds.

If the Rams were prepared to trade those four picks would rather take a 1st 2nd and 3rd, converting the 4th to a future 3rd next year, keep the broncos pick  which we could again trade for future picks.  For the Rams 4th this year we would net Rams 3rd next and get a 4th and 5th for the broncos one.

The Pick of Prosise was bpa at that point and would rather the extra picks next year as outlined

Would you take bosa with an offer on the table of either two 2nds  and a fifth or a 2nd and a First next year? Im  pretty sure ozzie would Consider it and i Dont think bosa is the end all be all answer. He may not be a good fit Here and i think ozzie would rather have 3 2nds this year or two firsts  next year (In a draft With   arguably More talent) and having a much better chance to hit on several Game changers As opposed to one boom or bust prospect that isnt Even necessarily a good fit.

I personally would like to trade down but I simply do not see our FO passing up the chance to take Bosa.

I would trade down no lower then 15th and only if a second were included (hopefully two from the Rams) with lower and future picks.

  8. The draft chart is only used as a lose guide and is variable on the teams wanting to trade ... the Rams currently need a QB badly.

When the Redskins moved from 6 to 2 for RG3 it cost three 1st round picks and a second for a 1000pt gap.  Now I realise the gap between us and Rams is half that at 550pts but we are also moving down a whole lot more then just four places they did.  With the Rams moving to LA they would be picking up a local top 3 QB which will be popular with the fans.  Fisher is on the hotseat for sure

Getting that 1 and both 2s seems a bit unrealistic, even with Kaep wanting out making San Fran almost sure fire to grab a QB. But I'm all for it

If Goff is there we might pull it off.  If we dont get both 2nds would expect atleast their 3rd and a future pick.

Would be a case of changing Boyd for Shephard

  10. I like the idea of trading down with the Rams especially if getting both their 2nd rounders.
    Trade our 1st (6) to Rams for their 1st (15), 2nd (43) and 2nd (45).

    1st (15) Treadwell WR
    2nd (36) Spriggs OT
    2nd (43) Fuller CB
    2rd (45) Boyd WR
    3rd (77) D. Jones OLB
    4th (101) Trelola OG
    4th (126) Hargrave DT*
    4th comp H. Miller/Murray CB
    4th comp Ngakoue OLB
5th comp Zettel DE or Maddy DT
    6TH (164) Morrison ILB

The purpose of this mock was to give an idea of what an aggressive draft could possibly be, get people talking

I like JUDGE TREAD, but I like BOYD also, Tread may be gone at 15, ok, then the fans here love noah spence

I like him also, I think he will go in the 20's but my point is this,

this draft needs to be a hit on so many levels and it can be.

many people here may not want a trade back but what separates really good from good,

give me 2 good players as oppose to 1 really good.

I like the idea of trading down with the Rams especially if getting both their 2nd rounders.
    Trade our 1st (6) to Rams for their 1st (15), 2nd (43) and 2nd (45).

We could move back using the lowest 2nd to gain a couple of 3rd rounders and/or future picks for next year.
    Trade the former Rams 2nd (45) and our 6th (164) to Eagles for their 3rd (77) 3rd (79) and 4th (110).

    1st (15) Treadwell WR
    2nd (36) Spriggs OT
    2nd (43) Fuller CB
    3rd (70) B. Miller/Shephard WR
    3rd (77) Matakevich ILB
    3rd (81) D. Jones OLB
    4th (101) Trelola OG
    4th (110) Prescott QB*
    4th (126) Hargrave DT*
    4th comp H. Miller/Murray CB
    4th comp Ngakoue OLB
5th comp Zettel DE or Maddy DT

The pick (110) from Eagles I would prefer a future 3rd and 4th in next years draft or use it with the (126) if we needed to move up at any point.
Taking Prescott and Hargrave at those points were simply going bpa and without reaching.

    Thanks for posting.
Very well put; I would like articles like that to be more frequent on the ravens main page.
I can't even read the fans comments on FB without shivering.. everyone claiming for Tread through the draft, Jeffrey through FA, or that drafting OT with a top ten pick equates to "untouchable QB".
Scheme fit and playcall should be taken into account as well.. for instance we could draft Bosa and he might never be able to reach his full potential (sure it's an hyperbole).

I do like the idea of drafting Treadwell but not at 6 but by trading down to Rams at 15 and gaining both their 2nds.  Will Treadwell make it to 15 im not 100% sure but we could certainly get boyd/miller/shephard in 2nd/3rd rounds.

  13. Draftboards are changing every day until free-agency and combine is over players will be moving all over the boards.

I do love trying to work out trades to get the players i want and do love the Idea of getting both the Rams 2nd rounders.

Do you think the 49ers would trade Kaepernick to the Rams ??

  14. I know how the point system works and have the same copy as you do.  It is a loose interpretation and the true value is only what both teams are willing to give up to make the trade happen.

For me I would not trade down for less then collecting a 2nd rounder.  The Rams have perceived need to move up for a QB and we could be in a position to fleece them.  Based on points chart we would expect a 1st 2nd with a 3rd or 4th but in ideal senario (with goff availiable) we could get their 1st and both 2nds.

If the Eagles had their 2nd rounder still I would have no issue trading with them

The Eagles pick is at #13 and i see they have alot of picks from 5th to 7th that they might make the trade

For me I wouldnt move down for anything less then an additional 2nd along with other picks,  I dont see the value moving down for 3rds.

  16. I just dont see us trading with the Eagles as I dont think they would give up all their picks until 5th round and dont think there is enough value for the Ravens to just collect 3rds and a 4th from it.

I want us to drop down in the draft but no later then 15th with atleast a 2nd along with extra picks/future.  I would like us to trade with the Rams which I believe would be far more likely as Fisher is on a hotseat with no QB and franchise moving to LA.
