  1. I don't like this at all. Like, honestly, there's nothing I like in this move. I really question it. I'm starting to wonder about our evaluators. I don't like this guy's attitude and think it could negatively affect the locker room.

I agree.  Somehow the guy thinks he's entitled to something, all I could sum up from him on Hard Knocks.  Boggles my mind.

  2. It is muscle memory. If his motion is fixated in kicking that angle, it is very hard to get it to straighten in a hurry. He'll work it out soon enough with all the help he gets from Jerry and Randy Jackson. But, if you notice once kickers get into a rut of some kind, it persists for a bit. But, Tucker is better than most kickers and he'll soon be back on form.

However, it must be said that with this current form, he certainly will be leaving a lot of money on the table come negotiations for his contract. He can't expect to be the highest paid kicker any more in my view. He'll be up there, but not the highest paid if he wants to be a Raven. Just my thought.

Gradkowski should be the highest paid.

  3. The problem was lack of daylight due to the layout of the stadium. They think they've found a solution: They found a different strain of grass, from a sod farm in North Carolina that are a mixture of Burmuda and some rye grass, that they believe will be more robust than what they previously used in the stadium. The Ravens also plan to use artificial light to keep grass growing where the field is shaded.

Being a grass farmer just sounds so odd lol

  4. Man, I'll be honest--it's been a while and I just don't remember anymore lol. I remember it hitting him in the hands at the goal line or close to it and he just dropped the ball. Just looked like bad concentration on his part.

I think Aiken is at best a #3, but he's not bad and he's worth keeping around. He did have an unimpressive start to the year.

Ya thats the one, no doubt he should have caught it though no argument there, its what we signed him to be able to do in those situations.

  5. Jimmy got his money and now he's MISSING IN ACTION. Pathetic.

Webb came in out of shape to training camp .Time to release him after this season. He could not

even pass the physical , a telling sign of future performance.

He failed the conditioning test, not his physical.  He also has 2 blown out knees.  I'm disappointed Webb isn't what he was from 2010-2012 but its not him.  He's not some dud who chows burgers all offseason and boozes it up hardcore.  He works at it.  Smith is coming off lisfranc (sp?) surgery.  Not exactly an easy recovery there either.

  6. Sorry to say, but Boldin dropped his fair share of balls here. I'm not sure I think the comparison of Aiken to Boldin is necessarily appropriate, but this comment bothers me because Boldin dropped his fair share. He had a critical drop against (I believe) Pittsburgh in the playoffs that could've won us the game. I just don't like how Boldin is practically given god-status around here.

Everyone drops balls, that goes without saying, Boldin did drop one in Pittsburgh but that wasn't exactly an easy catch.  How many times have we watched Aiken get hit in the chest with no one in a 3 yard radius of him?

    He's not a #2, plain and simple.

  7. Who?  Pro Football Focus?..............You guys are KILLING ME!

Shareece Wight?.....Ok.....I know when things are bad reaching at any straw is the reaction.  But Pro Football Focus is a joke and you guys have to stop citing that empty can.  You impeach yourselves when you cite PFF.  Your argument literally dies right there when you undermine yourself.

Heres a key play in the Cleveland game.  Who's fault is it?  Is it Shareece Wright who is never engaged? or is it Will Hill who may have blown over the top coverage?  If its Wright, what are you talking about?  If it's Hill, how is Will Hill a "Difference Maker" as idolized in another happy talk piece on this site by Kevin Byrne?

    For crying out loud.

They've already stated that Hill blew coverage, as Hill has himself.

  8. While it is admirable that we are ranked so high and quite obviously contributes to winning games.  Does no one else feel this ranking is somewhat skewed? Considering since the Harbaugh era we have consistently brought in or retained, at cut time, ST specialists.  As well have also dressed guys who will never help the offense or defense, over guys who could, but are limited when it comes to ST, thereby possibly stunting some players growth.

  9. believe me when i say this..this is the most important can't F it up draft since 2008 . Maybe even more. If ozzie lands busts in this draft we are in trouble in the long run. Just pray we lose all our games and rivers/mariota win a game or two.

Agreed there.  Ozzie has the chance to completely rebuild the roster with at least 2 immediate starters who are playmakers, likely 3.  If he gets this draft wrong this team is super screwed.  He can't mess this one up.

  10. We as fans to think what we want towards out team but at end of the day we not in The Ravens locker room we don't really know how the players are taking this or how things are now especially since they lost leaders like Suggs and Smith Sr this season.

Honestly  if I was working on a job  and my manager out of the blue said to me and my co worker that the company is now giving out stickers base on our performance/effort then I don't care how old I am i'm going to get those stickers lol especially if it means I can be rewarded with employee of the month or a promotion.. Professional football is a job/career and the players are nothing employees .

I don't think the stickers are even gear towards the more veteran players on the team but mostly towards the younger guys that haven't made a name for themselves on the team yet and are looking for the opportunity to see more playing time on the field. Players/employees are always wondering if their performance is being noticed by the head coach/manager while in practice/ on the job.

Majority of the time they don't even know if they are having a good practice atleast in the eyes of the head coach unless all of sudden they start seeing playing time on the field during games. Some of them at times feel like they putting in alot of effort and  still not getting the playing time . If any of these young player get good amount of these suppose effort stickers  than they can for sure  go to Harbaugh and make claims for more playing time base off their stickers.

I think the sticker situation is funny but I also think it can indeed make things more competitive among the younger players and may actually motivate them more.

Theres one flaw though, you and I could see a benefit from getting said stickers in the form of a promotion or a bonus.  These guys are already at the top of the pile and their contracts are locked in no matter the amount of stickers.  Their pay won't be increased or decreased based on the stickers.  And you know exactly when you're having a good practice, any athlete knows when they play or practice well.  The results are pretty immediate.

If I had a coach give out effort stickers in practice or games when I was a grown man I'd laugh.

  11. You also have to wonder how this story even broke in the first place. These are all player quotes so it sounds like the players are talking about it. Maybe it's as innocuous as a guy walked past a locker and wondered what was the deal with the stickers, asked, and got the answer. Or maybe someone tipped them off because they think it's stupid.

I would lay my money down on this part.  This is Harbaugh going high school on them.  Pro athletes are so much different than any other athletes because they finally have bullets in the chamber on their side.  They're paid, in the millions, and if a guy is a stud its a ton of money.  Players will eventually look at the older vets who are the studs of the team to see the reaction. Pro athletes despise being treated like babies/college kids, if anything they want more freedom to be on their own and do their own thing so long as they can perform.  Why guys don't like showing up to OTAs, off season workouts, curfews, why they go home on by weeks etc.  This is not treating them like grown men.

  12. The game isn't the same.  They messed with it too much.  There used to be safety written into the sport when QBs made terrible reads and got one of their WRs lit up, WR would stop running that route across the middle/the QB would take an extra half second and make sure there was no one there to light up their guy.  I'm tired of watching QBs make horse crap reads or horse crap throws then get rewarded because of a flag or now watching defenders pull up on a guy.  I despise helmet to helmet contact, its the fake tough guy move, but a dude laying the lumber on someone across the middle and just so happens to clip his head and shoulder/chest shouldn't be a penalty, especially when WRs tuck and curl.  Where are you supposed to hit someone now?  I'll never forget Shaun Taylor having Reggie Wayne want no part of him over the middle IN AN ALL STAR game.  And pass interference now is a joke.
