  1. Shazier is 6'1 235 at OLB. If that's an elite measurable then half the guys on this board have an elite measurable. Besides, half the time Ohio St had to scheme him open on the rush because of his small size. He's going to be rather useless against the run in a traditional alignment.
  2. Signing Monroe made taking Martin in the first a ridiculous decision. You don't take a RT in what's basically the top of half of the first round. Especially when Monroe is in the prime of his career and JUST signed a 5 year deal. Mosley is the first plug and play (as in he'll play week 1 and not due to illness or injury) draft pick we've taken since Grubbs.
  3. Smith is gone after year 2. He signed a 4 year deal and he's already 32. They won't keep him when he's 35. Now you have two guys at ILB that you don't have to sub out for in nickel packages. Have you guys watched Mosley play? I didn't watch many guys this year but Mosley is a 3 down ILB. Those guys are rare these days.
  4. I don't know about that. He played and excelled at Alabama. You can't just show up with Saban and be the starting MLB every week. He just lost his desire. When you lose that you can't get it back and you can't know that until you've tried. I don't hate him for trying to come back to see if he still loved football. Its not like theres a minor league we could have sent him to to see first hand if he was willing to muck it out in the minors. Playing in places like Hannibal or Jamestown or Haggerstown to see just how much he wanted to be back. Football is a different animal that way.
  5. Bring him in for camp. Can't lose anything there.
  6. Oooh, well done sir.
  7. He'll draft a FS early, just don't think in the first. I dont even recall the last team to have 2 #1s at safety.
  8. If Walt says it then it must be a good thing.
  9. Dickson won't be back. Flacco doesn't trust him. He was open many of times towards the back half of last year and Flacco didn't even bother looking his way.
  10. Think it was the other way around after playing against him for 2 years. Not missing out on much.
  11. Man D.Smith looks the most out of it in that picture lol.
  12. I can see Art garnering a 4th. The others definitely not over a 5th.
  13. Apparently Ozzie has already contacted Steve Smith's reps. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/13/report-ravens-already-in-contact-with-steve-smith/ Its linked to an ESPN article so its not solely PFT for the record.
  14. And Mack has a nasty streak. Big attribute.
  15. Because that worked before...
  16. Thought had more to do with scheme with Suggs because the 34 OLB tag was muddled due to 43 OLB contracts. But either way, I don't see how Pitta could expect the full WR tag. If anything with Suggs the Ravens have prior knowledge in this game.
  17. Doesn't it all go to an independent arbitrator in that situation between TE/WR?
  18. Wonder how Pitta and his management would react to that logic lol.
  19. Has the look of Ray Lewis' last contract with the Ravens. Rays was 3 years and then 4 non guaranteed ones wasn't it?
  20. In fairness to him, he didn't expect anything outlandish. His first tag he knew he wasn't an OLB in the 43 sense of the definition so he accepted a hybrid contract between DE and OLB. His second tag was just to work out the extension for which he was paid his worth,
  21. No I know lol, I was just stating an opinion on the tweet. I didn't think that was your own statement.
  22. Statue? I love Suggs, he's the last remaining link to some dirty defenses and he's the only guy who played with both Lewis and Reed in their primes left in the league but unless Suggs goes on a tear and leads the team to another Super Bowl, virtually single handedly defensively, he's not getting a statue. He also needs to not be fat for the entire season next year.
  23. Trading him, if the team picks up the duration of his contract as well, frees us from virtually his entire cap hit does it not?
  24. Ya I saw that, actually my initial response was as well. He had impact plays theres no doubt, I just think people hold that notion more so because his was the last TD scored on the kick return and those 7 helped Baltimore hold on. Id maintain Flacco's 3rd and 2 completion to Boldin was just as important and impactful.
  25. Juice is literally made to play in this scheme. Its going to be interesting watching him motioning all over the place in and out of different positions. We'll finally get to see what scouts saw in him at least.
