  1. Yeah those power-rankings are just another form of click-bait, so no surprise that they are volatile and reactionary.  If Ravens beat the pats our rankings will be in the 3 to 4 range :-))

B Williams, would love to see him stay (everything RaRaRavens says is spot-on, BW opens it up for the rest of the D), but can't help thinking he is going to get priced out of here by some team who thinks that one big signing will fix everything. On the positive side is that if there is one thing Ozzie drafts really well it's DL, and we got Pierce who is another monster.

After last Sunday's outing, now is the perfect time to face off against the pats, bring em on, can't wait.

Apparently, believing some analysts, the Ravens are not contenders, but are pretenders.

I wouldn't sweat anything on nfaildotcom, they didn't believe the Ravens were contenders in 2012 until the final whistle sounded in the superbowl.

Yeah it's a tough schedule, but the silver lining is that if our team makes it to the dance it means they are playing hot and should go deep. I honestly think our Ravens can beat any of those four teams if they play the way they did Sunday.

Also like Marty finding something to exploit about the 'phins D.  Let's hope he is buried in pat's tape finding some leads.  I think the guy is a good step up on Trestman, and hopefully doesn't get HC aspirations any time soon.

if anything im more nervous about new england next week - i always like the idea of going in there as a heavy underdog but this performance was so strong i just want the rest of the nfl to forget about it so we can re-surprise them next week

The rest of the NFL community doesn't even realise the Ravens exist as there are never any articles about them.  If you read the two hamfisted and short articles about the Miami game on nfl.com you'll see how little the "analysts" there care or know about the Ravens. Don't worry, win lose or draw next Monday any article afterwards about the game will be focused on the Pats.  Hopefully the articles will be about how much different the result would have been if Gronk were on the field.

  4. Have a feeling Brandon will be priced out of the Ravens by one of those dumpster fire teams that think signing a single player for $60m will fix all their problems.
I think if the "stick with us we get players rings around here" line was gonna work, a deal would have been struck already.  Everyone already knows how good the guy is.
Not saying anything bad, just feel like that's where it's at right now.

  5. To all the fans complaining about John not being an X's and O's HC ... how many of those X&O HC's are actually DC's and OC's pretending really hard that they are HC's.

Jason Cole's tweet is true of all OC and DC positions (and every other position in every walk of life pretty much), you either get promoted one day or you get fired one day, unless your name is Rayray or Peyton .... or Matty Birk :-)

Expectations for Mornhinweg? just more sensible play-calling to start with would be fantastic, and then get us a playbook that can adjust to where that yellow line is, and maybe has some elements of deception to confuse opposing D's. That's not too much to ask from a person in a job that earns more in a year than what i earn in a lifetime is it?

    Damn I'm grumpy this week.

  6. No need to explain .... I was tired of seeing run-plays on second/third-and-forever, and tired of seeing third down passes to SSS shy of the first down marker that assume he can get four yards after the catch every single time.

The playbook is tired and predictable, seems to offer no adaptation to the position of the yellow line, and is a feast for opposing linebackers and safeties. It's the OC's job to make it something else, next man up.

Probably sounds harsh and Trestman is probably a great guy, but niceness aint no KPI for an OC.
