  1. The tone of this article http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000506683/article/baltimore-ravens-deny-they-tipped-off-colts on nfl.com, and the associated "commentary" from facebookers below it, is ridiculous. It is making it seem like the possible communication between two teams about possible infractions of a third team is itself the greater crime. It makes it seem like nfl.com are doing a "look over there" while they frantically polish and restore the shine to the golden altar of Brady that we all must bow to. Articles like that one (and so many others on nfl.com) make the nfl feel less like a sport, and more like a daytime-tv-drama. Maybe I get too annoyed about BS parading as news.
  2. This time of the year I wake up in the morning and check the Ravens News (I am 16hrs behind USA time), and cross my fingers that there are no articles like this.... Bad luck Matt, hope you are back on the field soon buddy.
  3. Damn man, I flat out love our team, from owner all the way to undrafted rookie. Everything about our team is the way it should be.
  4. Offtopic I guess, but I've watched that frame by frame a hundred (ok maybe fifty) times, and am convinced that a faster camera (ie 100 frames per second instead of 24) might have shown this to be a touchdown. As it stands, in one frame Evans has the ball secured and his second foot is a half-inch off the turf, in the next frame that foot is down but the ball is starting to be dislodged ... a faster camera may have shown a downed foot and a secure ball in the same frame ... But anyway it played out the way it did, Lee didn't secure the ball well enough, he is gone, and the only good thing is that we got to see the Patriots lose to the Giants against the odds ... again .. lol Seems when we lose to the Pat's in the playoffs it is always by the smallest of margins, a single camera frame, or rule bending play-calls specifically designed to make the officials look like the keystone cops.
  5. I like this kid, he has the right attitude (like our rookies consistently do, thanks Oz, Joe and co), the raw talent to be a career no.1 WR if he works hard, and hopefully a Raven-4-Life. Bring it BP.
  6. Great stuff, Sizzle is the heart and soul of our D, so awesome to see him looking lean and ready for football! Bring on September
  7. Yeah who gets more yards is a bit of a who cares question, because it is about which TEAM will have the most W's at the end of the season. Having said that, maybe AP by a nose because I think we will have a very well rounded Offense this year, and the Vikings will have ... Adrian Peterson. Ravens will definitely have more W's booyahh
  8. Love our entire D-Line going forward, and the best thing is most of them are still on rookie contracts for at least the next couple of years, making it an extremely high value unit in terms of bang for buck. Roll on September.
  9. Like everyone else here I'd love to see a long-haul OC for all the obvious reasons, and Marc could be our guy. If there is one organisation in this sport that is free of political BS, infighting, backstabbing and egomania, it is ours, so hopefully he can find a home here and rest his family's feet a little. Welcome home Marc (hopefully). Also, great article Ryan
  10. The absolute truth, distilled to its purest form
  11. It's one of those glass half full/empty kind of things, if a CB makes a great pass break-up on a play, do the press report on how good that pass break-up was, or how poor the WR was for not bringing down the catch? When Maxx isn't getting open is it because he is a rookie playing against a much revamped secondary and a couple of the best ILBs in the game? I am happy to wait until pre-season when we will have some apples to compare to the oranges.
  12. Damn I hope any of these guys we can't shoehorn into the 53man roster can be stashed on IR or something. Any of them left on PS are going to get poached by other teams.
  13. I remember when a lot of people here were calling for Castillo's head to be served up (myself included). What a difference a couple of new personnel and a new scheme make. Thanks Oz, and thanks Juan, we're locked and loaded, bring on September.
  14. He's got a good attitude, and a great coaching staff working with him, he'll be fine.
  15. They just need to get him a locker buddy like SSS who can rib him and stir him back to his old self :-D
  16. Don't take the pedal off the metal Sizz, these next three years are going to be awesome
  17. Good to know that when we get SSS the ring he deserves, and he rides off into the purple sunset a winner, Aikan, Brown and Perriman will be carrying the flag. Bring on September please.
  18. In other news Baltimore are sitting at 25 to one to hoist the Lombardi, and 12 to one to win the AFC Championship ... That's value right there, get it while it's cheap, because as soon as preseason starts ...
  19. Depth, we need it at every position group, not just where the injury bug hit last year (CB), and we're not that hard up for cap-room. The injury bug can hit anywhere (and it was OL just a few years back). We got Joe upright right now, lets keep him that way. I am sure we got the money the next few years for what Oz thinks KO and Marshall are worth.
  20. The best thing about how awesome our D-line is going to be this year, is that most of them are still on Rookie rates for the next few years, creating some much needed cap breathing room. A real credit to Oz, Eric and the scouts
  21. The picture nfl.com has of Sizzle and Doom ruffling Geno's feathers is now the background on my PC, what a great picture!! :-)
  22. I gotta say, the more I think about it the more I'd be well and truly happy to go to Training Camp right now.
  23. Kyle is going to win two rings in a row with two different teams ... smart guy He got burned a bit in the SB, but he still brings good depth that we need and hopefully last years run of injuries at CB won't be repeated.
  24. Merryjman you pretty much said everything I wanted to I reckon Marlon will be a solid #3 this year, and a great #2 next year with a hopefully blistering Perriman as #1 It's a good looking receiving corp, with all but two (SSS and hopefully Pitta) on rookie rates ... how good is that
