  1. What position does this guy play, heading says WR, text says QB, nfl.com draft profile says RB? ... OK so he'll be a WR for us?
  2. I heard he has knee issues too :-P
  3. A 5'9" CB doesn't look that good on the face of it.
  4. I hear what your saying and agree somewhat. I think it's just that the Ray Rice incident is still in the rear-view, and the recent loss of Tray (not saying anything bad about the lad), the FO are playing it real safe. I think five years ago the team would've taken a couple more chances with character issue guys, just not right now. And on Tunsil, could you imagine having him and Monroe together, that's a bad recipe right there. It's a business as well as a sport (as much as we might not want it to be), and a teams image has an impact on the bottom line. Happy to wait until September to see how these guys pan out seeing as I haven't watched hundreds of hours of tape or had the chance to interview them, and basically don't know them from Adam lol.
  5. The lad's Hawaiian and you're doubting his ability to bulk up a bit?
  6. yeah maybe if he gets hit by a bus ... (cue Jerome Bettis jokes) In other news does bioLarzen have the day off or something? ...
  7. OK I'll bite, it's because most of the teams who draft in the top ten stink and keep on stinking and are picking in the top ten every other year, and a good LT isn't going to make them that much better because they haven't got a QB worth protecting in the first place. That's most teams ... not us.
  8. The way Monroe is I think Ronnie will be on the bench for maybe the first quarter of the first game next season. And if it's longer than that well depth isn't a bad thing, and the guy can also play right tackle too and can probably slide in to G. Not the sexy "playmaker" pick everyone wanted, but good LTs don't "make the news". The guy has also played every game the last three seasons, that's kind of comforting to me.
  9. maybe slightly off topic, but well done the Broncos getting Lynch at 26. Butt-fumble might be carrying the clipboard this year after all
  10. I don't think any of us picked this. But neither did any of the analysts*, except in the early days before it became apparent two QBs were going off at 1 & 2. Welcome to the Ravens Ronnie, hope you are our next JO. edit: lol except Don Banks and Dan Kadar, well done them haha
  11. For everything Jimmy said I kind of wanted to hear him say: "darn straight I will be there at 5am watching tape with Eric" Instead of: "He comes in the building at 5 a.m. to study film, and you know a safety like that is going to put you in the right position to make plays" which makes it sound like he's happy for Weddle to push that barrow. Time to start earning that big paycheck Jimmy.
  12. four years 75m, that's some crazy money right there
  13. I sooooooo agree. Tunis would be a perfect addition. IMO Yeah I don't mind that Tunsil guy either :-) And true, definitely need a solid O-line to give Joe the time if we want to actually use what Breshad and Wallace can bring to the O
  14. "the team has turned over every stone in trying to find ways to better maintain players’ health" I hope so, feels like the last four years we've been close to leading the league in injuries (we probably do lead the league if you take those four years in aggregate). I know we're in the physically toughest division in the league, but still, not acceptable.
  15. yeah i dunno what Daniel Jeremiah is smokin, but I sure hope the five teams on the clock before us are smoking it too. If Laremy Tunsil falls to us at 6 I will be surprised
  16. With some of the crazy teams drafting after us in the first round this year, the phones might be running hot. I just wished that Ozzie and Eric were on the clock last year when Johnny Vegas sexted the browns, could have been a nice deal to be had.
  17. I think this is more to do with the fact that there would be the inevitable trolls who would show up and say stupid things. nfl.com is full of trolls. Great to see some Steelers fans showing up here and saying some kind words, just goes to show that great rivalries breed respect. Hats off to you chaps.
  18. My heart goes out to Tray's family and friends. Also to the guy driving the SUV, I'm sure he's suffering right now too. We've all made mistakes on the road, most of the time we are lucky enough to not suffer the consequences.
  19. I was a fan of Cam* and wanted the Panthers to win, right up until his fourth quarter fumble when he became a spectator, didn't even go for the ball. He dogged it, when his team was 6 points down, right when he was needed most.Well done the Denver D, and Peyton should retire now, there is no better time. * and was rooting for our old-boy Michael Oher
  20. This new news comment format is terrible, you can't give up's for posts in the news article itself, you have to click through to the post within the forum .... if this is an nfl wide format, I'm blaming them for this fail ... lol And yeah, we're good at FB and TE
  21. I don't see this FO every bringing in a big name reciever and paying them top-shelf money, it's just not the way they operate, and it's one of the reasons we make playoffs consistently. I wish we were better at seeing good deals in the WR market grabbing the Danny Woodheads when they are available. That guy was a bargain. And yea I know he's primarily a RB, but if you can buy an all-rounder RB with good hands who gets separation, you're getting a bargain part-time receiver and another RB ... my $0.02
  22. Bengals Players Rejoice In Steelers Loss ... zero and seven boys, zero and seven
  23. Two first round QB busts .... sorry Bio, had to do it.
  24. And yeah watching Jaylon Smith's highlight reel I don't see the same monster physicality we see in Sizz and Doom, I see a pretty fast guy operating behind a pretty good DL ... and he's injured, no more of those please.
  25. Just hoping that at least two or three of the teams picking before us feed their QB revolving doors with their 1st round picks, leaving us a top calibre pick at a position that we need.
