Premium Rush- nothing spectacular but i enjoyed it.
Red Lights- i thought this was a great movie and de niro is great, as always. Im intrigued to get others reviews of this movie, as its got some interesting twist in it. I reccomend this for sure
Bought "The Watch" today with Jonah Hill, Vince Vaughn and others. Hopefully its as funny as it looks like it could be
For what it is...i liked it
Sleeping dog lie- interesting and wierd, but good. I liked it.
What's worse? Shooting a baby in a dream (God Bless America) or Punching a Baby on the campaign trail (The Campaign)?
I liked God Bless America as well. I can see why many people didn't. The acting wasn't the best. But it was fun. I really like Bobcat Goldthwait as a director. If you haven't seen it, check out 'Worlds Greatest Dad'. It looks like a cheesy Robin Williams movie but boy is that image wrong. I also hear good things about 'Sleeping Dogs Lie' - I believe it is literally about sleeping w/ Dogs
.
I loved worlds greatest dad, i thought the kid was hilarious. That was a messed up movie.
Ill check out sleeping dogs lie, any others?
Watched a couple movies lately
God bless america- really enjoyed it, i like the overall message, in a sense lol
The imposter- i was waiting for this. Had a great concept but i thought they didn't deliver it very well
Yep. The 'last' season was split into two. Which I don't understand why they just didn't classify them as different seasons. Its not like they are taking a winter break.
I love it when a drama series gets to go out on its own terms. Looking forward to the wrap-up.
crazy. Walt is for sure going gangster on people, "it had to be done". He is one greedy sob.
Could you refresh my memory of the signifance of the book at the end of the last episode?
so i just finished season 5 of breaking bad, well half the season. I loved it, thought it was awesome. So is this the last season? 8 more episodes?
^ ive seen both. I was hyped up for hanna but when i watched it i was falling sleep, maybe i should rewatch it. I liked the american for drama type, good view of the other side of that profession
Flawless performance in my opinion. Ganz captured the delusion of 1945 Hitler perfectly. Too often he's conveyed as someone with mental deficiencies, which wasn't the case, he was wound in his created image of [slur deleted] Germany, diluted with paranoia and draped in delusions which caused his erratic decision making and behaviour late in the war.
Downfall is a must see movie in my opinion.
It has also spawned some of the best parodies on youtube of all time.
I agree on how he played hitler. As far as parodies, if you havent seen the hitler gangnam style....here ya go
pontypool- i really enjoyed it
warrior- fantastic
duel- classic
thats my boy- i loved it, sometimes you just need dumb humor
Ill check some of the others out
check out rampage if you havent seen it
I'm up to 481 watched movies during 2012. I might make it to 500 by the end of the year.
I know the number sounds insane. But I've spent the entire 2012 year studying 3 hours a day for the CPA exam. While studying, I watch movies. Plus a lot of movies are only 1 hour and some change (mostly horror) . I'm going to be soooo happy when I get my life back. But it has been fun watching movies.
whats some of your faviortes
I'm just giving you a hard time.
You seem like somebody who watches a lot of movies. So I'll give some 'hidden gem' suggestions. These all have under 3000 votes on IMDB and I've rated 7 or above. These ofcourse will all be hit or miss depending upon your preferences.
Ricky 6 (2000 - Rare and hard to find)
7 Faces of Dr. Lao (1964)
Escanaba in da Moonlight (2001)
Christmas Story (2007 - Christmas pick from Finland)
Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010 - The whole movie is like an acid trip)
The Living Wake (2007) (Can't post any more pictures : (
Drones (2010)
Anywhere, USA (2008)
Allright, ill get on some of these. Yea i watch alot of movies, i have over 500 easily.
Watch you think of Hesher?
Hesher was interesting but i kind of felt like i was left waiting for something. I like the meaning of the movie and watching hesher struggle through with his emotions, then finally opens up. Good depiction of a closed off, shutdown disturbed person.
You have somebody talking about John Carter and Hesher and you recommend Birth of a Nation?
You have to love the art of film and film history to enjoy Birth. Not something you pop in for a enjoyable flick. Great movie though but not for everyone.
You ever see Faust? Amazing cinematography with a crazy budget for the times.
I like all types of movies and can appreciate any type...just have to know what your looking for in the movie. Obviously if im wanting a shoot em up kill fest, im not going to pop in schindlers list. Just because i like movie A, doesnt mean i wont like movie B.
Watch Birth of a Nation. It's Hollywood's 1st blockbuster; a master of cinematography. I love the moral ambiguity. It's very important for our times, in light of the election.
I shall download and give my review
So as im sitting here watching the Ravens game...and after watching all seasons of the wire recently, does anyone else think Boldin looks just like avon barksdale and even julius from remember the titans (same person)? If i knew how to post pics id crop them togther for comparison
So i just watched john carter, i actually found it pretty interesting, very cool concept.
So as i just sat down to watch Hesher, i was wondering if you guy have any new movies to reccomend. It took me 10 minutes of searching through about 500 movies to pick one out. Any type of movies really; gangster, adventure, some sci fi but nothing to crazy ( not a fan of star trek or star wars) so throw some ideas out there guys
I gotta throw out War Games if we are headed down this lane
Hell yea. Toby Kebbell made this movie for me. I can never get the song 'Bankrobber' by Clash out of my head because of this movie.
Daddy was a Bankrobber!!!
Well thanks...now that song is stuck in my head. Time to download via itunes
check out Rock N Rolla if you like those kind of movies
If you want to watch shows you can just stream them off the Internet also, that is if you don't feel like downloading them. There a few good websites that direct you to a 3rd party site, just make sure you have a pop-up blocker on. Examples: Solarmovie, Moviek2k, Tvlinks
I like downloading all my stuff. I currently have about 900 gigs of movies, tv shows, etc...actually trying to sell a 1terabyte hard drive with a couple hundred movies on it, anyone interested pm me
I need to watch this show. Netflix?
im sure its on there, but i download all my stuff via torrents
It's amazing, right? I have one more episode to go in the series. I finally got a chance to start the series earlier this semester.
One of the best shows ever made.
oh yea it is. I watched the while series about a year and a half ago. And being from baltimore it makes it more interesting, although i dont know most of these places they talk about
Yes, "Stringer Bell" is a prominent character in The Wire
