  1. He is predicting a players career before he has even played a snap basically, some would call this premature... Or foolish. Or both. Maybe he does nothing, maybe he does something.... Time will be the only way to tell, so logically we should give him time, but logic isn't a common attribute around here.
  2. Im glad you already know the result of Clark's career. Can you please tell me what Bowser turns into?
  3. The negativity is so hilarious. I don't where I'll get my comedy when this shuts down
  4. Yea, I get that everyone has players they wanted, but sometimes we forget just how important role players are, because they aren't the sexy pick
  5. I Love how mad some people are getting, Irs very comical to me. I'm stoked about our draft
  6. Im right there with you. This was a guy I kept bringing up as my main guy. Love it!
  7. Just because you have player X rated at 25, it's not unreasonable to think the Ravens fo values player X differently than you, actually it's more likely. The discussion about value is pointless really, because none of us know what the Ravens FO has the players valued at.
  8. Yup. I didn't want Humphrey, but I get it and if they think he can be a healthy Jimmy, I'd be stoked.
  9. Maybe, but he is from Alabama
  10. Yea I'd like Williams or Lawson first. Bowser has good coverage skills. Sadly I think they won't be available
  11. I Just didn't read about him much h, I like bowser. As much as I want to keep adding defense, we really need help on the O side
  12. WHat about Zack Cunningham? I know we need ol and wr, but some people had a first round grade on him. I don't know much about him
  13. Nothing we have done says this is a rebuilding
  14. I Just love the over-reaction. And all this talk about value. Obviously you can disagree with the picture because of value, but that's your value. We don't what the FO valued him as.
  15. Tyus Bowser please
  16. I Won't like the pick, but judging it now would be foolish. Can't believe it's shutting down
  17. Whats up over-reaction
  18. This is insane to think about. I myself haven't had cable in a really long time and don't remember the last time I tuned into ESPN outside of a football game. By Clay Travis Every champ gets knocked to the mat at some point. Sports broadcasting’s heavyweight champ is on the ropes and looking at a TKO if they don’t figure out something, fast. In Nielsen’s projected November numbers, the media giant will lose 621K subscribers, their worst month on record. The projected loss is almost double ESPN’s turnover in past years, when they averaged around 300K a month. To put that number in monetary terms, ESPN will lose in the ballpark of $52M. These recent projections also come amidst the Titanic like 24% plunge in Monday Night Football ratings—once ESPN’s premier flagship broadcast. The numbers are staggering and represent an even greater trend – cord cutters giving cable the boot once and for all. <snip> ESPN pays a staggering $1.9B a year for the rights to Monday Night Football currently. This number is maintained by charging every single cable and satellite subscriber $21.50/yr just for Monday Night Football, whether they watch or not. A number that will only continue to climb. Will ESPN be able to maintain their rights to the NFL and Monday Night Football, while losing almost 30% of their subscriber base by the end of 2021? Can ESPN survive without the NFL? It’s really beginning to look like they’ve fumbled this away. <snip> ESPN sits in a precarious position, a rapidly declining one. Their business model simply isn’t viable going forward and needs rapid and immediate change. ESPN could leave the cable/satellite game and go their own, but then they would lose the mega licensing deals they have with these companies. Furthermore, if ESPN chose to go that route, why would the leagues and networks not just handle distribution themselves, completely cutting out that middle man? ESPN would find itself without a carrier, without subscribers and without any revenue—adios Worldwide Leader in Sports.
  19. Lately there has been some decent topics about science stuff, a lot of space stuff which some of you know i can be a big nerd about. So lets make this a thread about everything that pertains to science, space, technology, etc... Here is a link about a privatized company wanting to send people to Mars....on a one way trip. Some very interesting things here. Here is a link for another privatized space company founded by someone i think is amazing, reminds me of a modern day Tesla, of course i am speaking about Elon musk and his ways of looking into the future. Here is a topic i started about Nasa finding over 1000 new planets, good stuff. So guys, lets have some good intellectual conversations, opinion based discussions. We can bring back the alien talk: did they build pyramids? Is Roswell responsible for our tech boom, etc....As Bart Scott would say....Cant wait!
  20. And people say he was dumb.....
  21. Just like no one should ever respond to him, but alas..... Love it man. Those first four picks i think would be huge for both sides of the ball for us. Ill check out the other guys as well. I like how you went different routes then most. I prefer Mwill over Davis but i would be more than happy considering the rest of the draft. Hope you nailed it.
  22. So Your saying we don't hit on mid round comp picks But we do on regular mid round picks? Im guessing your going to elude to the fact whats the point of collecting comp picks when we don't hit, which I guess you can make the case for, I just think the premise would be wrong. Or maybe im not comprehending your point. Or some people just understand what market value means, ironic how most people who don't like Joe don't understand the market value premise. While those who support Joe do understand market value, that doesn't mean/imply he is elite their minds. The number one player at a position as far as talent might be the highest paid player for a year, then because of inflation of the salary cap, someone else signs a deal who makes them higher paid.
  23. While I agree with injuries having a huge impact, there isn't a significant way to prepare for those injuries other than doing what every team already tries to do: sign the best possible players and then add the best depth players possible. While I agree we have underperformed 3 out of the last 4 years (hard no to agree compared to the standards set previously), I think most fans forget the amount of change that can take place from year to year, good and bad. We have made some good additions this offseason as almost every analyst would agree upon, we also still have the draft coming up (as my sarcasm remarks made clear), so imo most fans want love to throw around the phrase "Not For Long" league only when it comes to bashing but choose to ignore the upside of "Not For Long." While you may think we are not a good team, what we finished the last 3 out 4 years really doesn't matter, but last year can be used as a basis. We may have been 8 and 8 but its not like we were completely out of contention. I honestly believe that if Jimmy doesn't go down, we would of made the playoffs, which eluded to your point of injuries. So what did we do? Signed the best DB FA on the market. Signed a more than capable #2 corner who has started every game for 9 years. We signed Webb for depth, which I find absolutely hilarious that people bash that signing. We have Young who is a promising young CB. I know there is concerns about Jimmy's health, but I don't think there is any reason not be excited with the secondary we will field. I will say that the pass rush situation worries me as well as the OL. I believe im a realist and I see no reason why we cant compete, even at 8-8, that's competing. Don't confuse your standard of success to the actual act of succeeding, Meaning: So what if we go 8-8 and squeak into the playoffs, so what if we don't win the division but still make the playoffs, playoffs mean we have a chance to go all the way. Just because we don't go 12-4 every year doesn't mean we aren't a good time.
  24. I wish there was this annual thing where we selected players from college. I also wish there were players that are able to play in the NFL but aren't on a team right now that we could sign whenever we want.
  25. Im an optimistic person, but when someone brought him up as a solution to our problem on the line, I thought it was hysterical. I hope im wrong though, seriously.
